How do you like that Glowshift oil pressure guage? I really want one, but I'm not sure if I wanna spend $100 on one. Car is coming along nicely man, good job!
I have an original 1990 Mustang owner manual. You need an ignition that has power on crank. In the manual it says fuse #18 powers the tach. Which of course has power on crank. Use an add a circuit.
It seemed to me it was hard to start once it was warm, which to me says timing advanced too much. I'd double check their timing procedure.....good to see it running though. I am interested to see how this ACES system works out for you in the long run, as I'm considering it for a near-future build.
It’s definitely the battery, it’s not charging, and think I figured it out. When the fans come on they kill it. Also we think the starter is sketch too. It came with the car. Didn’t sound the greatest, but better in this engine.
Good job! You had us all stumped 😂. You could put antisieze all over the rockers and then start the engine with the valve covers on to see if they are hitting. How much preload are you setting them to (turns/thousandths)?
@@funkystangs2843 Well that should be plenty. Yeah, look like tin man, or forget you put it on there and pull the valve cover and freak out lol - been there done that
If pushrod length is off it can definitely hit under the rocker in the trunion area or rocker can hit the edge of the retainer etc, worth checking for sure.
@@funkystangs2843 Watched the video you posted a few months ago 👉titled ( Installing & Adjusting Roller Rocker )👈 those rockers you have are non-adjustable pedestal mount.. The only way to achieve proper adjustment is by using a ford racing shim kit👉(FPRP) M-6529-A302
hey funky what are you going to do with the stock computer since your using the ACES now , hint hint i would be interested in it if if you would get rid of it, glad you got running brother hellllll yyyeeaaaaaa.
Hey funky. I have a question about the aces efi system as ive got mine installed. Ive got a 93 mustang gt, did a moter swap dropped a 351 windsor down in there. Looks like we used alot of the same parts. the car turnes over acts like its pulling hell of power to where lights n stuff start dimming, but has yet to stay running. Just got the hand held back first one i got was a bad one so he sent me another one. Any knowledge u can help me with. As to why it only turnes over but eant actually run. Its getting fuel ive confirmed that.. I need alittle advice.
Sounds like the timing issue I had. I believe it’s page 30 in the manual. You have to follow those instructions. But you have to lock out your distributor first
So appears I'm not getting any spark . besides the coolent temp censor are there other censors u would need to install that's not built into the killshot.
My buddy told me about a trigger wire in the dash. It won’t charge unless it has power. He ran into it when he put his Autometer Invision digital dash in.
@@funkystangs2843 hell yeah man, nothing wrong with that, who wants to spend $1000 bucks on a set of lifters, I went from ford racing high revs to Cat. Racing lifters which was only 209 bucks when I first bought them but 259 Now I think, they are probably made by the same people that made yours and I just got burned more than you did on them 😂🤣😂🤣😂 who cares long as they are working and working fine for us, I've seen issues with every brand out there so I would rather not spend so much on them if they are going to fail but I've actually heard good things from actual people that have the ones you have that's put many miles on them
