That handle is cast, but probably not machined, they get it smooth by tumbling I’m sure. If you aren’t going to use that old Handle there’s plenty of people that can fix that…
Hi im the guy from yesterday and I understand it I also have deadline's on my own projects, but I don't think that measuring length width and height of the cockpit is that time consuming
@@f15simI would guess that they do the same thing - pull the pilot back into the ejection position for the rocket trip whilst allowing access to controls at other times. I'm very jealous of you having so much real seat though. I have a parachute box and a collection of ancillary components! 😊. Apparently all the MB seats went back to MB when the airframes were sold to the US (for peanuts). I suspect they're all sitting in a warehouse somewhere gathering dust, same as all the parts that would complete your F15.
@@zg8626 Yep, that's exactly what it does. I've got a 599 page Operation & Maintenance manual from 1995 that covers pretty much everything. ;) I would be surprised if MB kept them all - most were probably sent to a certified recycler for scrapping.
@@f15sim I've struggled with seat inertia reels. I think you need to try on a Tuesday (but never in March) and you'll need 1/2lb of salt, and plenty of Voodoo.
