I'm a 77-year-old male and was diagnosed with IBS-C 2 months ago. My doctor put me on Trulance. It's helped but I've lost 9 lbs, which is great for me since I can't walk due to back problems. I really enjoy your podcast. It's very informative.

I’ve been struggling for 10 years. I lost my income as well as wasting my money in products the don’t work. Prescription drugs are totally unaffordable and they didn’t work for me. I am now bedridden

So sorry to hear about your health struggles. Try to find and work with a gastroenterologist who will be able to properly diagnose you. Sometimes chronic constipation that is not responsive to diet, OTC and prescription medications may be the result of a pelvic floor issue. Please listen to our episode with Dr. Darren Brenner who explains this well and offers tips for talking with your healthcare provider.

@@GastroGirl Thank you. It was a five hour surgery. The doctors couldn’t fix everything due to damage done in the first pelvic prolapse in 1996. Im very sad. However I’m blessed to have two amazing doctors. I’m getting wonderful care in the hospital. Now I just want to feel better. Thank you. Best to you.
