Allegra Clark just nails Acheron's emotionless character, and in my opinion, I prefer her over Anne (Don't get me wrong, Anne is an amazing VA, but I think Allegra wins for Acheron)

I was happy, cuz Beidou is my Genshin queen, the first character to appear and the one that carried me to AR55 before being able to build my very first 5 stars (Ganyu)

My first knowledge of her being good for Acheron came from knowing her from FE: three houses as Shamir and dorothea. Her performance as Shamir was good.

Beidou has the best EN voice acting in Genshin, in my opinion, and it isn’t even close. I haven’t played Beidou much lately, but she is by far my favorite character for personality, writing, and voice.

Allegra nation rise!!! And Beidou is underappreciated as a character, both in story and gameplay. She has been my #1 main since the start. Why she is not a 5* baffles me. She defeated Haishan without a vision. Meanwhile, a girl who likes fireworks and and girl who dances in cosplay gets the 5 star treatment for no reason 😅

Fr, she did amazing voicing an emotionless character. (Anne is also great VA, but I think Clark is just better for Acheron.)

I couldn't imagine her voice any differently. She absolutely blew me out of the water with how well she did!

The thing is, it's weird if SAME characters have different voices. Let's ignore Raiden Shogun for the moment, but it's possible that Raiden Mei and Acheron are the SAME person and if they reveal that, that will be weird.

Should have tried to get Ei's VA, but sometimes that isn't possible, especially if she already has a commitment to Genshin, both Ei and Acheron are huge characters in their verses, so that's a big job. Plus any other gigs. Beidou isn't an important character in Genshin's plot aside from Liyue/Inazuma AQ, which are behind us, so other than events she won't be doing work for Genshin. It's the best they could do. I think it does ruin the 'you from a different universe' feeling people were hoping to experience with Ei, but what can be done? Maybe fans can use AI to experience what it would have sounded like in lieu of the VA just for curiosity, but obviously for the official content that's not plausible so hiring someone else is what makes sense. Just wish they got someone with a voice closer to Ei's, personally I don't like Beidou's voice on Acheron, makes her sound too harsh. The VA herself is also a bully who jumps into drama and attacks people/brings her personal life into it, but even so, people were in the wrong to attack her here.

TBH I don't really recall people attacking allegra either. I'm sure they were out there, But the sentiment seemed to just be "dangit hoyo you could have done the cool thing." And most of the community being like "OMG just shut up and play in japanese or chinese then."

Cause it's a tradition hoyo made and now hoyo broke. If the fans are gonna be mad, they should've been mad at hoyo for casting the different VA other than the standard one. Not that they should attack anybody for it, but if they did, it would more sense to attack hoyo cause VAs don't cast themselves 😂

@@cyrus6461 kinda, depends on how you define "related". every Mei (not counting Ruan Mei) in Mihoyo's game are not directly related, but there is an in-universe explanation why they are, in a way, "related". Still, no amount in-universe lore can justifiy being mad at a VA for doing their job.

The first time I hear Acheron voice, I feel like it's very familiar, until I checked the va and realized that she share the same voice as Penance (idk about Dorothy or proviso because I use Chinese default voice for almost all my operator, except for Penance that use English voice because her voice is very special for me).

I don't think the Raidenverse Tradition applies to the EN Dub. It makes sense for CN and JP actors to be cast again because of the already existing familiarity with Honkai Impact 3rd. But that game did not have an EN dub, so there really shouldn't be people upset about it in the first place as it wasn't a precedent for EN. But unfortunately some people overreact sometimes... 😓
