Me too knowing that the order of swords is the same order Herrscher came to earth. And having Kevin here proves that this Mei is a alternate version of Dr MEI instead of Raiden Mei and im pretty sure Kevin holds the Sword of End but got corrupted

Besides, 12 blades being shattered (symbolic of the flamechasers without Elysia) and being reforged into "origin" and "end", with Origin facing off against the End - is straight up Elysian Realm parallels and the final Kevin fight. If that's not a Raiden Mei reference I don't know what is.

When Both Origin and End cycle is broken (the symbolism of both blades broke) there is Nothing "Naught" basically achieving true Nihility..... a perfect vessel for the Emanator of Nihility.
And she repaired the sword with "life" (idk if its blood raining or the power of nihility honestly, might be both) to return it to nothingness, because all life will return to nothing eventually. (it made more sense in my head but once i wrote this it somehow doesnt anymore 😭)
@@alouetta12 Oni is known to possess powers of the underworld, therefore her name ( I doubt that's her true name but a name she took after that event in the trailer ) is the meaning of underworld, so she might have sacrificed her Oni power to imbue the power to reforge the sword she is using, she might have similar powers as a emanator of nihility but in this trailer she is more like a hunter who wants to hunt down IX for destroying her world, and how you kill something that's literally a presentation of nihility? To became one yourself as well.
I have to say yours is the best reaction and analysis on this video I've seen. Quickly recognizing all the references, editing clips and screenshots from HI3, concluding "The End" that Acheron fought was the Kevin variant from shiraga oni, while also putting together the plot of Izumo indpendent of the HI3 references too, and a lot more. I love how in-depth this was.
Tldr: IX swallowed Izumo. Acheron turned into a self-annihilator/emanator while in IX's shadow. The blade of Origin turned to Naught when the end was near. This is confirmation that she IS the Emanator of Nihility whether it be by choice, or by circumstance. The only thing we don’t know yet is how she survived.
I LOVE your comparison and all the clips you added about HI3! It’s so amazing for people who never played HI3 to get some understanding of the lore behind. Also there is a Japanese folklore about an eight-headed snake （八岐大蛇/ヤマタノオロチ/Yamata no Orochi） whose blood is poisonous to human but can reforge weapons and basically “revive” broken weapons. That scene when Acheron’s tear dropped on her broken blade it remade the blade into a red weapon is probably very related to this; also in the other animated short, she and Black Swan having the horror dance in her memory, Black Swan was referred as a Swan, while Acheron was referred as a Snake! I really find the connection interesting!

Also I find it funny how last year DHIL was very much a centerpiece of the main story, and they had his rerun banner at the beginning of this year (the year of dragon); now what if the connection between Acheron and snake is really true, she will of course very likely to be the centerpiece of this upcoming main story, maybe she will have her first rerun at the beginning of next year as well (the year of snake)! Quite a coincidence, no? xD

Actually, from what I read, they're all in the same universe. The Honkai Universe doesn't work like marvel or dc's universe where the have parallel versions of each other. Iirc, the Honkai universe is just one universe with many worlds in it. These worlds, you can think as their own space of reality. Example is the world of Genshin. Then the world of Honkai Impact 3rd, and the world of GGZ. All different worlds with their own unique characters and stories, with some similarities here and there, but all in one universe. While in HSR, the astral express can hop from one world to another. So theoretically, they can go from the world of Genshin to the world of HI3. Also, I think the confusion happens with translation errors. They meant to use the word "world" but accidently translate it to "universe" thus the misconception. But overall, ur not completely wrong. Since HSR does encompass the whole Honkai universe and HI3 is one of the many worlds in it, you can say HI3 does happen within the bigger story of HSR. So, Kevin (or at least a version of him) appearing won't be too surprising.

There are two kind of universes in honkai,branch universes,the ones that come from the imaginary tree,branches that stem from the same branch line are "parellel unvierses",thats how ootto could make a parellel universe grow on the same rbanch to have a universe where kallen is alive,and bubble universes,when a world dies,it falls into the sea of quanta,vestgiges from that world remain for a while,like a bubble,untill it pops and gets devoured by the ssea of quanta.Some universes keep cohestion because the remnants find a way to "anchor" the bubble universe so it stays,but bubble universes are small in scope compared to branches of the imaginary tree,which are nourished by the tree itself.Star rail universe universe is a branch universe,so acts like a parellel@@rockymerca
The amount of HI3 references in here is crazy! Finally some Honkai in the honkai verse! All 14 herrschers + emantor of Nihillity + some of the HI3 music being played! Now I just need the Welt and Acheron meet up and I'll be set. Btw iirc Welt still has a little bit of his HoR powers left right? Imagine what would happen if Acheron were to find that out :)
@@zyzhang1130 Herrscher of Human isn't a "real" title, it's basically a nickname Elysia came up with for herself. She gives the same name to the main trio of HI3 as well, since they are all Herrschers who sided with Humanity as well.
1:51 Frost sword I will say it's more like Sakura than Ana, and there's that Sakura tree 2:01 white and black sword it just reminds of both Seele (Seele and dark seele), there's that dear that reminds of Diana and I guess Acheron cut part of her horn to forge new sword, not so sure but there's blood dripping if you notice
Its just a reference of honkai impact 3rd, and in there Sakura wield the frozen naraka, an ice weapon, so they put the sakura tree as well 😊 But herrscher wise, it is Ana, since they follow the herrscher order. Sakura never became a herrscher.

In the first acheron meeting, like you said it varies on which gender trailblazer you use. If it's Caelus, she says "friend who crossed swords with me" so referring to Kevin. If it's Stelle, she says "friend who stood shoulder to shoulder with me" so referring to Kiana. So basically the trailblazer is the alter-ego of either Kiana or Kevin. As for who the two people were to Acheron in the HSR version of the story, Kevin alter-ego was the one she had to fight in this trailer, the kiana alter-ego might have been a friend she had (named freebass in the "pioneer diver of dead waters" relic description) that friend apparently was a trailblazer that died while trying to go inside IX.
Hello! I only know bits and pieces about HI3, but in Acherons case does this mean that she crosses paths with either Kevin or Kiana in her lore? I watched a vid and I think I remember it saying that Kevin was Kiana’s male counterpart in a different universe. Can Mei only be destined/fated to meet one of the other? Or can for example Acheron have the encounter with Kevin that’s in this trailer and lose Kiana (Freebass) to IX?
If that's the case it's kind of a reference to GGZ Era Zero where Kevin "fights" against Dr. Mei while Kiana stood and fought by her side Even though in GGZ case Dr. Mei wasn't a fighter
The friend that stood shoulder to shoulder could also be yae sakura (the one holding the Frost blade) p sure there is a hi3 scene where her and mei shoulder shoulder holding thunder and frost mentioned in the trailer. idk how to explain it properly
@@vacasan.7501it’s probably not referencing PE Sakura since Stelle and Caelus are both genderbent counterparts of one another, similar to Kiana and Kevin, and they all carry the iconic baseball bat which is probably one of the reasons why Acheron’s interaction with the MCs reminded her of Kiana/Kevin. So it makes a bit more sense that since Caelus’s line is a direct reference to the battle against Kevin, Caelus’s counterpart, Stelle, directly references Kevin’s counterpart, Kiana, to someone who’s stood side by side by her (probably Frebass which has displayed a similar mindset and personality to Hi3’s Kiana). Although it’s true that Sakura probably also worked with Acheron, there’s not really a good enough indication that Sakura is who she’s referencing compared to the stronger evidence leaning towards Kiana.

By far the best analysis of the video I've seen and believe me, I've seen many. Great work! Also, I think its sadder that Acheron had a group like Raiden Mei had in Honkai Impact 3rd. I think the moment it shows the blades breaking, the hands lifted towards the air represent her friends who stood by her side and fought with her, very likely to be their equivalents in the Honkai Impact 3rd universe.

glad to see Tlaloc getting punked by Reason once again! Ice - rather than Ana, it looks more like Frozen Naraka, Sakura's weapon - which explains the cherry blossom tree above that frozen sword. And Legion got turned into the myriad swords Kalpas used.
Yea the devs mention that there will be a lot of HI3 references, but that ice is definitely Ana since it follows the herrscher order. The sakura tree is just another reference for frozen naraka for yae sakura. So you can say it's both.

I believe the "old friend" Acheron is referring to while talking to Stelle is described in the flavor text of the Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters relic set, a female Nameless she once journeyed with. If you look at the relic's backstory in the Data Bank you get a full story of Acheron and a Nameless she befriended who was determined to dive into the depths of IX. - "Frebass, are you still going to the depths of IX?" The question comes from her companion who is always carrying a long blade. She is a good companion but no one knows where she comes from. The little Nameless hides inside her bulky diving suit. A long pause later she hands the companion a slightly burnt marshmallow, her eyes narrowed like the silhouette of a fully opened sail: "Of course - because I will walk on a road deeper and further than Akivili's!" Later on in the backstory the two share a final goodbye. - The vast void looms near the end of the vivid memories, yet she suddenly sees a dash of crimson blinking briefly into existence in the center of the pitch-black world. Therefore, the little Nameless remembers the smile she gave from the bottom of her heart when the girl with the sword took the marshmallows for the final time. "I never thought I would meet anyone similar to me [Acheron]. You've walked so much further on this road than me. Therefore, you will surely walk with me till the end, right?" "Of course. Our end has already been determined... However, just like you said - Even though I may turn into a shallow puddle of dead water in the end, there is still a lot I can do on my journey toward that moment. Therefore, no matter what, I have to go try it - Because I will walk on a road deeper and further than Akivili's!"
Idk if anyone mentioned here, but I saw a comment in X that 'Naught' might be another reference for Key of Nothingness/Key of Blankness that Dr. MEI wore it in the manga. Man, all the HI3 references in the trailer made my heart full.

The way the Sword of Truth/reason just fall down like that reminds me of a scene in one of GGZ pv where a giant sword fell and adult Houraiji Kyuushou (GGZ Herrscher of Reason) was seen in the next scene. Albeit the giant truth sword in this PV does look like a battleship. Maybe a Hyperion reference? Or Moonlight Throne? It instantly made me realized that they were talking about the Honkai

What if its not actually the pararel of HI3 current era... But the previous era.. and acheron is actually paralel of DR.MEI... hence why the narrator is kevin...he might became the finality.... And the blades...are blades... Weapon...created from the god fragments... So they actually akin to Divine Key instead
The End could be not Kiana but Kevin during Stigmata-analogue process. Kiana herself is most likely Unique entity and her mirrors are not repeated in other worlds, as she was always alien to the current world. I love how Rebirth shows two swords - of colours of Seele and Veliona. And Domination being hundred of swords. Also - red blink into the Black Hole - it may be the one that Frebass saw in her final moments.
Also if u look at the truth sword the monster almost exactly looks like the monster bronya fought when she got her hor transformation can’t wait for more I’m especially interested in Acheron and march she has to do smth with elysia😭also it seems that these blades can corrupt u and maybe that’s why she had to fight the sword of end bc the person wielding it got corrupted

Also @42:23 Fanchuan during the 7.3 CN live stream mentioned that HI3 & HSR writers work closely to ensure a cohesive overall Honkai Universe! Hercher of finality can also be kevin kaslana,in hi3 he usurped the authority so when kiana foguht him they were two herchers of finality fighting over the full authority.Perhaps in this parallel there wasent any kiana as finality and it was just kevin
i think there can be no doubt that the black sun is IX and Acheron is an Emanator of Nihility, due to in the art for IX there are 2 black planets which matches the two planets in the Myriad
About Hersher of Flames and Himeko...I read a comment that if you interact with broken sword(in curio storage) on Herta Space station with Himeko(and only Himeko) you'd get very unique line: "You closely examine these fragments. A gust of heat suddenly arrives through the air. It touches your cheeks and pauses next to your ear. *You hear someone sobbing, someone yelling, and someone mourning wordlessly. Finally, someone whispers... "She was reborn in the fire. She was smiling in the fire"* " and that what you get if it's any other character: "A few crimson fragments float in the air. Drawn by an invisible force, they trace the shape of a broken blade. The rusted surface looks like a barren field scorched by flames as it narrates its past. A gust of heat suddenly arrives through the air. It touches your cheeks and pauses next to your ear."
I like the idea that at 3:42 they acknowledge it that it wasn't the End (Finality) that was playing with them all these times. Because at least Finality gave their civilization a condition which upon fulfilled they can win. No. This Aeon was cruel. It only showed them Nihilism and absolute despair. Until they were swallowed whole. That cute little blob became a lot scarier after this.

also this basically means that when black swan has the exhausted shocked moment at the end of her dance when shes seen acherons memories - that is like her face after witnessing all of these hi3 events play out in a way, lol
Remember that Kevin was and is originally the concept of ''Male Kiana'' from destroyed world that lost against the Houkai. This is a litle bit closer to Houkai 3rd's Previous Era and in this world Kevin became wielder of Katana of the End [much like Herrscher] and this Mei instead of going the Dr. Mei route she was fighter and ended as wielder of Katana of Origin which also has fragments of ''Katana of Life'' and that's why she bleeds when she uses it and flowers grow as she walk, much like Cecilia when using Abyss Flower in the manga. The conversation is between Kevin and Mei when they fight and she kills him. He helps her realize that ''resisting'' Houkai with hope of victories they had was all for nothing and after they destroyed the two worlds because of the war, ''Salvation'' was a lie. But instead of falling in despair, for some reason I still don't know she ''Accepted'' this fact that all is for nothing and basically turned her ''Life'' blade into ''Mu'' [which in Japanese is kind of Nothing, Null, Devoid, you get the point]. In the description it says now the people of Izumo [Mei] are ''walking backwards in time''
I personally think that Kevin may be alive after is fight with Acheron because we only see the two sword destroyed. So it might be like Acheron, where he survived with the broken sword End like Acheron with the sword Origin in the trailer.

I get the feeling there was no Kiana in that timeline since it mirrors previous era, so it would be MEI and Kevin. Parhaps we visit Izumo in the next samsara and Kiana is there COPIUM Isnt Kevin and Kiana supposed to be genderbent versions of eachother anyway, like SU and Vita.
The 12 Sentinels remind me of the 12 Divine Keys, the Flamechasers (with the whole saving the world even if the world is beyond saving thing), and the herrschers. I only started HI3rd about 2ish months ago (basically when Acheron showed up), and I was losing my mind over this trailer since I had Shotgunned nearly the whole HI3rd story.
Almost the same reaction as myself when watched this Trailer, LMAO. About the 5th, the "Frost"; CN use the word "刹那“(instant), which absolutely point to Sakura from the Pre Era. And not to mention the shape of that sword is much like Sakura's prime arm weapon.
As a veteran of honkai impact 3rd, this revelation and connection is huge for honkaiverse. Damn its really awesome and I cant wait to see the further story in game when acheron release.
The Frost Katana is Sakura Memento weapon ingame, and the Katana freezing time and extending one moment into eternity is literally what she did against Corruption in her sister.
ive heard people say that the 70k blades is the exact number of the herrschers that existed in ggz or something. i didnt play it but its just what i heard
It feels like Izumo was a world, where Mei was Kiana-less, and in the end she had to fight Kevin alone. But still managed to use the power of Finality against him. The reason why I think this is in the "See you in the next world" video, where the Finality's blast has very similar visuals to Acheron's slash against the "End". So she somehow managed to defeat the (possibly) emenator of Finality, only to solve nothing and be turned into "nothing", that serves the "nothing" against her will.
These 12 swords could be referencing the PE Herrschers with Himeko as Herrscher of Fire and Rin as Herrscher of Ice. I am also suspecting that Kiana in this universe is not present and Kevin aka Oni is the End(?) or could be the blade itself is the End. Acheron aka the The Maiden could be the one who has reset this universe into nothingness referring to the description in the other Star Rail Video with Kalpas in the title. Could be me but feel free to share your thoughts. edit: at 18:41 onwards, could it be that the reason why Acheron is having a feeling of familiarity with Caelus as someone who she crossed blades with is because Caelus could be the Shiraga Oni reincarnation with the Stellaron as the thing that acts like the Honkai(End)? And Stelle as someone close to Acheron? Like Stelle is the one Acheron travelled with(?) and Caelus as Shiraga Oni?
I think Kevin appeared the first time as male version of Kiana in GGZ. Later in HI3 they make him into ancestor of Kiana but still keep the couple Kevin x Dr. MEI. So maybe the old friend of Acheron is not Kiana but is Kevin instead as the male voice is clearly Kevin's
Thank you for the video! You caught a lot of references I didn't :O. Looking at the evidence we have and the fact that the narrator is Kevin, i think he may have potentially been the "end" that Acheron ends up killing as Origin. I take this as basically the worst case world where Kiana (and Bronya) weren't around to be at Mei's side and help which led to everything ending in ruin. Another thing about Kiana though is that as a character, she usually arrives to help Mei when she at her darkest/ most hopeless times. She is the light and "hope" who gives Mei a reason and will to continue living/ fighting. So if I had to guess, it may be very likely that Acheron met Kiana after all this went down and her planet was destroyed, when she was at her lowest most despondent moment. I feel like this makes the most sense for whom Kiana is as a character and whom she is for Mei. As many have already speculated, she may end up being Frebass who's been teased. Like in the memories we saw with Black Swan's dance, the person she was walking with likely may be Frebass. When I saw the little girl holding flowers in another memory we saw, I also initially thought that may be Kiana since in GGZ she's commonly portrayed as a little girl holding a bouquet of flowers (but the flowers were different and the little girl didn't have Kiana's noticeable hair curls, so I think it was a young Acheron instead). Kiana may also end up being someone unknown whom we haven't heard of yet. Ofc, it could also end up being that Kiana is someone who Acheron just hasn't met yet (though I feel like this is less likely). I feel like Hoyo is very intentional with how they're hiding Kiana because they know that all the HI3 players know about Mei and Kiana's relationship. And considering how she's the "golden" child, they're going to be very intentional with how they tease her to the audience because of just how recognizable/ popular she is for fans. Unfortunately for us as fans, that probably also means that our starving mouths will only be drip fed information/ clues about who Kiana is in Starrail :(( I am hoping we'll get some more solid Kiana references in Acheron's trailer and more importantly, her conversations with Welt! (I can only imagine Welt asking Acheron if she's met a certain white haired girl and Acheron going straight into ptsd mode lol). Also, I really feel like a Kiana variant will be linked to finality/ terminus since this seems to be a "canon" event in almost all Hoyo games. So for example, if Kiana DID end up being Frebass, I wonder if somehow she didn't end up dying but instead possibly was saved by Terminus (or something along those lines). I highly doubt they would kill Kiana off before she ever appears in Starrail. A lot of what ifs lol. I can only imagine Kiana in hoyo jail saying "let me out!!" lmao.
