Yes!!! Awesome news! Welcome to K-State! So excited to watch Kansas State basketball this season! Love our coaching staff and fans! #kstateproud #ALLIN #EMAW #WildcatCountry #wegotdudes #tanggang #tangtime #elevate #KStateMBB #crazyfaith
This is an awesome addition to the team. I'm feeling a lot like I did when they announced getting Keyontae. Great skill set, and athleticism, big enough to bang down low and quick enough to function out to the perimeter and back and finish strong under the basket. Over the years, K-State has not had a ton of guys like Achor. As far as how they use him, I think he could be a huge matchup problem which should translate into winning more close games. He will get a lot of attention which should free up other guys. Maybe most importantly, this raises the floor on expectations and eliminates a lot of uncertainty which seems to have been building after coming up empty earlier this month. It should be a lot of fun seeing who else comes in, and watching how the team chemistry develops.
Absolutely. I think the squad is one more top tier guy like Dug and Achor away from having a hell of a squad. It’s going to be tough but I’ll be interested to see how we handle the last two roster spots! Thanks for watching my friend!
I tried really hard to support Bruce Weber. I think I stuck with him a season or two longer than I should have. But his pathetic comment about not being able to recruit to Manhappiness will forever place him in the K-state outhouse tier of head coaches. What he was really saying was “I can’t recruit to Bruce Weber.” I’m jazzed to watch this team. I think we’ll be playing an exciting brand ball next season.
You know, in a way, I think I was a bit too supportive as well. That quote was such a bad decision to say lol. That being said, things seem to have worked for the best for us. I’m freaking pumped as well for the new season! Thanks for watching my friend!
The one thing i will give Bruce credit for: the second Big 12 title was with a team he built and not inherited. Because of that, i supported him a season to long i think. We should have canned him after the back to back bad season after that.
The Weber hire was garbage from day one. He had all the talent in the world at Illinois thanks to Bill Self. Then he immediately ran that ship into the ground. Apparently Currie saw that accomplishment as a resume builder. Take away the first 3 seasons with Self's kids, he was 50-56 in conference play at Illinois. He was 82-98 in conference play for us. He was only any good when playing the nobodies.
Another great and informative video. Actor seems like a big deal, I like his game. Interested to see how he'll fit into the system but based on what you've said, he'll find his place for sure. Looking forward to seeing how everything comes together now. Also, all the best with the move also, God bless! (p.s. you nailed the pronunciation !)
I’m interested to see how the lineup works out myself honestly, but thank you for the feedback on the pronunciation, glad I’ve got it right! Thanks so much for watching and for the kind words!
Hey Joe , this is tge team in my memory that the Xats have a really good shooting team , drivers , good size , catch and shoot drivers .Tang is building what many teams are doing.I A true five out team that can do more than ine thing .I am sure he will bring in another big that is athletic, a rim protecter , a pick and roll guy Good luck with the move to great white north !
Something we should start to keep an eye on is that we have three international players on this roster now. Could international connections become part of the recruiting strategy?
You know that’s a great point. I don’t think it was something specifically targeted but I will say that I think international prospects sometimes slip into the fold a bit quicker in terms of underrated value. Should be interesting to see how the team rounds out! Thanks for watching!
Definitely higher than zero. My guess is it’s closer to 38% yes, 62% no. That being said I don’t really have much of a gage for the situation yet. K-State could use Art as a scoring wing but both parties will have to agree and see it make sense. I would be all for Art returning and I think he makes the roster a Top 20 group
Yeah I think the staff would like to get a starting center to add in so Achor could play the four. That being said, it really depends on the player imo. Adding a tall guy for the sake of adding some size isn’t a better option than running Achor at the five outside of maybe two guys in the g league combine. I would take Ugonna Onyenso or Coleman Hawkins and run them at the five, and if not I’d probably roll with Achor at the 5. If you get either Hawkins or Onyenso then move Achor down to the 4 as an athletic mismatch. I would also take JT Toppin but he’s about the same size as Achor. Still some damn fine options out there but thankfully Achor gives us flexibility to make whatever work honestly. Thanks for watching!
Tbh, avg 8pts,6rbgs, and 2/3 assist in the big 12 would be ok. Going from socon competition to big 12 competition is different. Let's be realistic and see how he performs
With all due respect, this dude is a 32 minute starter for the squad. Will McNair averaged 8 and 6, I’m not worried about Achor Achor taking a step up in league play
