The thing about lizard breathing is so fascinating because if you’ve ever chased anoles or geckos long enough without them finding a place to hide you’ll notice after a few sprints they juristically slow down or completely stop

@xpandor_6914

Its gonna come down to our 5 categories, lets start with handleability: Clint gets a 1.5 out of 5 for handleability because he is a person and you shouldnt handle people that much, he does not get 0 though because i bet he wouldnt reject a hug from a fan Our next category is care: for care we give Clint a 2 out of 5, people are very expensive to care for because of bills, a house/rent, food, entertainment, and more. All of this can be very expemsive for the unprepared novice human caretaker For hardiness, our next category: We give Clint 4 out of 5, this is because since humans are warm-blooded temperature is not an issue for them, but they should not be kept at extreme temperature for long. Next is Availability: For availability we give Clint a 0 out of 5, this horrible score is because there is only one Clint out of 7 billion people and he is not available for sale For upfront costs, our next category: we give Clint a 0 out of 5 because humans are very expensive to care for as said before. In total we give Clint a 1.5 out of 5, in general people arent that great as pets; Have a nice day!

Ackies are an easy favorite for us. I have worked with reptiles over 25 years now and had many species in that time. A lot of information you gave here is applicable and some not so much. The enclosure and Powersun specifically are not what I'd suggest and I don't use coconut coir with anything. They aren't cheap. That much is true and we typically sell out what we decide to part with super quickly.. like spoken for before they even meet their first bug!(yes, we breed reds and yellows) We aren't the cheapest breeder out there but guaranteed you get what you pay for in quality. We selectively breed them so their colors and patterns are quite vibrant. Stop by and see for yourself.(our videos aren't fantastic but click through to our Facebook and you'll see what I mean) Good effort. Go ackies!

Honestly, a smaller male might work in that but larger is definitely better. If using a 40G breeder we usually suggest covering all lid area where the light isn't coming through with something to hold in heat and moisture. More is always better and they will use every inch provided. Check out our care sheet for my take on keeping. Always do more research but consider the source. Do they keep them or make them? How's the quality? etc.. can be said of any species. www.reptiletalk.net/ridgetail-monitor/

@clintsreptiles would love to see some more in-depth "how to" videos for how to set up a system for these little guys and other lizards like them that have slightly unusual requirements. How to set up a basking spot that will have the right gradient? when to use heat tape? how much UVB is enough? how much is too much? Love your review videos, love the build videos. Would love to see your take on the principles of setting up enclosures.

Can you do a video of you feeding Nagini sometime? It sounds like it would be very fun to watch!

Hey Clint! Glad to see you do this videos. I'm starting the process or researching some monitors as a future pet, and am really looking at ackies. Are you planning to feature any other monitor species? I'd really love to see that! Also, I was just wondering if you have a Patreon page? I don't have a lot of money but really like your content and would like to donate. I'm sure I can't be the only one! :) Thanks again and best wishes to you and the crew.
