Really cool video, I remember reading about how the Beatles did this on a lot of the recordings which is why you here some of their vocals sound different then tracks that were recorded regular without the tape trick.

Used to do all my guitar leads like this on the four track. I couldn’t rip a proper good solo, so I’d do these rudimentary leads over the track played at 1/2 time, and they would usually come out sounding pretty cool

This could be applied to electric guitars and other instruments too. With electric guitars it would produce similar shift in the properties of the amp and speaker cab too. You could also aply it to re-amping. For that you would not need to really tune the speed to the instrument as both would be the same tape machine and you could even change it gradually (or less gradually) during the song for even more special effects. For reamping I think speeding the tape up (if possible) could be cool as it would make the amp/cab -combination sound kind of larger.

Low tuned acoustic guitar in general sounds amazing! Idk, it's just the mood from the intrument just hits a nerve in a good way I guess.

I know right. I wanted to start writing songs when I had it tuned down. Very moody.

Great for experiment with múltiple sounds. Those guitars panned L to R and in between to make a wall of sound.
