Idk why people have beef with pink and red, it looks cute and the only color we should have beef with is barf green xD even poop brown can be cute sometimes
Can you do a video on allergies to gel products? I developed an allergy quite a while ago that made my cuticles swell up and become super itchy & inflamed. Also caused my actual nails to lift. Are there alternatives? Would polygel be fine even if it’s a gel? Or acrylic? Nail polish is fine but it’s not my favorite to use.
Would you mind doing a video on some of the best efile bits and bit sets for beginners and intermediate people? Especially for regular manicures, pedicures and hard and soft/ soak off gels? Just some solid ideas for some of us who want to do it at home but with good equipment and products. Thank you
So stunning!! You make it all look so easy. I have puffy side walls and quite a high c-curve naturally so I am always getting lifting around my side walls more than anywhere else. I also battle with oily and moist nail beds due to a medical condition. I use gel at the moment and no matter what I do the product floods the side walls and the top of the nail tends to be flat. I'm determined to learn to do my own nails because anyone else's should be easy next to mine 😂😂
I wonder if something like polygel might work better for you? You can push it to the edges with a brush dipped in alcohol and it can’t flood the side walls easily as it’s too thick. Maybe worth a try?
I have similar issues with flooding my sidewalls! The way I get around it is to use the solid non-sticky putty/ glue polygel (it's usually used for creating bows and other sculpting forms for nail decorations. Its safe to use your bare skin to form, just don't cure it with it on your skin!)! I prep with primers and a base coat - then I use the putty gel and a dualform. It's easier to control how much product squeezes out around the sidewalls and cuticle (give a 1/4 inch space from the cuticle!!) - easier to control than the polygel in the tube that's the consistency of toothpaste and requires slip solution or 70% rubbing alcohol). As for the polishes - I'm in love with the 'mud' or 'pudding' gels to avoid flooding! MUCH easier to control! Hope this helps!
A thick builder gel may be your better bet! It levels a looot slower. Holding your hand/nail upside down for a bit before curing can also help. Gravity will help thin out the gel along your side walls and keep the thickness at the apex where it needs to be :)
I might try acrylic again. It's been 25yrs...acrylic has come a long way in that time! I've been so used to polygel that I get scared thinking about other materials. Thank you Anastasia! ❤❤❤
These came out beautifully Anastasia! It's funny that you mention how nice it was to do acrylic again. Last night I couldn't sleep so I went waaayyyy back on your channel and rewatched all of the videos that were new when I first started watching your channel. I'm talking 4 and 5 year old videos! Those videos are still so great and full of information and seeing you do acrylic again in this video was wonderful. I have always admired your nail sculpting and your philosophy on getting the sculpt right so that you don't have to file much. Back all of those years ago when I first found your channel and was new in the industry, I had to file and file and file... After watching your videos I adopted your approach and it is so much more satisfying doing nails without having to file for ages. Sorry for the long message, I guess long story short, thank you for being such a wonderful teacher! It was cool to see you do acrylic in this video again and these nails are beautiful.❤
I love pink and red, I do all the time!!❤💖 Gorgeous set👌. I prefer acrylic over gel too. It's faster, easier and cleaner to work with. I use odorless monomer so I don't have to deal with the smell lol.
