So sad that the clear message of “research and education” was lost on some people. I appreciated the video and I appreciate this one as well. I’ve never felt that you’ve come from a negative place with your advice. You praise when it’s time to give praise and you address mistakes when there are mistakes. Thank you for being so professional and thoughtful about the videos you make. Also I’m in The Bahamas and I’m a huge fan as a self taught nail technician.

I very much agree!! While she was evaluating the salon’s nails, she remained respectful, professional, and understanding. i do not have the same levels she has of poise, compassion, understanding, and the hardest is respecting a service done by someone in a way that feels disrespectful, to say the least. she was incredibly refreshing to listen to while critiquing the fundamental nail structure’s preventable, major defects. i don’t think it’s understood by casual nail community members what improper application presents all in all, with the addition of this video, she offered the most uniquely helpful method of teaching nail structure creation by working backwards critiquing the the missteps of a finished nail to provide the prevention based solutions necessary to avoid repetition during application... aka “here are the mistakes in finished nail here’s how to prevent that outcome”

I suspect a lot of the people who were rude on that video probably didn't realise that you are an educator and content creator, not a potentially competing salon owner. For what it's worth I always find it helpful when an experienced nail technician or educator points out where the issues with a specific set of nails or service lie. Sometimes I recognise them from my own nails and then know what I need to improve

Anastasia I agree with others here. You are the most kind and constructive person I know. You point out problems BUT always offer a way to fix it!!! That’s the difference between a put down, criticism and education with constructive criticism. I’ve watched your videos for a very long time. The things I’ve learned from you, both what to do AND what not to do, has been invaluable to me. Thank you as always a true fan and student!! 💜💜💜💜💜

I haven’t gotten my nails done since December. My mom and grandma wanted the three of us to go into the salon, and I didn’t want to say no, even though I knew what would happen. The salon is a five star nail salon, but managed to get the most HUGE bubble, flood some of my cuticles and get the product too thick. The nails peeled off like three days after, and that’s why I still do my own nails! 💁🏼‍♀️ for homecoming in October, I’m going to skip the salon and do my own hard gel, or poly gel maybe!

I am a licensed hairstylist that dabbles in nails and unfortunately in my area the nail industry here (Pacific Northwest USA) is very similar to what you experienced. Instead I get to learn myself.....for that I am grateful for your videos!

I learn so much from your videos, how to correct my own mistakes and how to be better at not making them over and over. You don’t turn those “worst rated salon” videos into a hateful spectacle, you’re just explaining why these conditions are unacceptable for safety and service reasons. And you gave praise and criticisms where it was needed. Those commenters obviously didn’t watch your video

I think that you should definitely go to as many nail salons as possible. It’s important to show what can be done to improve nail applications. I am a self taught nail enthusiast because I’ve been getting my nails done for sooooo many years and yet have heard the most lane excuses when a nail tech just doesn’t care. The nightmares had to end for me and I watched and learned PERIOD. You know there is a saying love what you do and it should apply to the work you do for customers!!!! I wish I had met nail technicians such as yourself because I would be a customer for life but as this is not possible I will continue to learn and do my own nails. Thank you Anastasia, God bless.

Liked both of these videos, the "before and after." I know the disappointment when doctors say artificial nails have to come off! @TallulahFoxxx Год назад
@@hellzeze I’m a nail tech in Scotland but I have seen the same mistakes from techs in lots of different countries ☺️ To become qualified, you have to prove you understand the theory and be able to demonstrate a basic application - not a perfect salon-quality set 🤔 Here’s why: it takes so much practice. There’s a saying over here about learning to drive - “driving lessons teach you to pass the test. Once you have your licence, that’s when you learn to drive” 😂👏🏻 It’s very similar with nails. Experience is the main factor that makes a good technician. To be able to do a salon-quality set, you’re talking well over 100 sets of nails to get there, and that’s just standard salon work. That isn’t including advanced nail art, more interesting nail shapes (like Edge nails or Russian Almond etc). A typical course length isn’t long enough to get trainees to that level before they finish. It’s important to remember that enhancements aren’t the only nail service, so a chunk of your education is spent on other things - you’re not doing full sets of nails on each other for the entire year/however long your course is ☺️ They get you to where you understand what you’re supposed to be doing. Their *expectation* is when you get your licence, you continue to *practice* by telling clients you’re still practicing, charging less, and focussing on bringing your skills to industry standard BEFORE starting a business or joining a salon as a professional. Unfortunately, lots of people jump straight into starting a business 😂😭🤦🏼‍♀️ There are always clients willing to pay less/sit longer to be a newbie tech’s guinea pig ☺️ The vital part is that they know what to expect so no one is disappointed.
