A step by step real time tutorial of how to do a liquid acrylic pouring painting. All steps for the beginner. Here is a link to annemarie ridderhof's video for beginners. • Instruction video
Bless your heart for making a video that starts with the "how to and what to" in mixing your paints. Thank you. I went at it full boar and made 7 blah paintings and 2 just ok paintings. I had alot of fun but was disappointed in the end. So now I'm off to the store with high hopes again, so thank you!
You are a wonderful teacher! You explain everything clearly and slowly! A lot of people doing tutorials forget their listeners are hearing this for the first time! I really enjoy watching you!
Thank you SO MUCH for your video. Extremely detailed and extremely educational. I'm getting ready to do my first pour this weekend and I've watched tons of videos. Yours is among the top 3 for me so thank you again! God bless you for sharing your knowledge. 💖
This is the first beginners pour that I've watched and I've watched a lot of more advanced. This is definitely in my top 3 of the prettiest ones I've seen! All three are very different and I really love all of them the same, but for different reasons. I find myself tipping my phone (I hope it helped 😉). This is an excellent video! I love that you talked us through every step-telling us what you were doing, what you were using, and why you were using it! Don't learn to edit! It's so nice knowing that you weren't editing things out. I wish I could do something like this but due to severe RA in my hands (& there rest of me too) I can't do things that I've known how to do my whole life, let alone trying something new. I'll just keep watching and admiring others work! Great video, thank you!
I’ve watched other videos and today did my first pour. An absolute disaster!! I’ve just watched this video and you’ve given me the impression that I will be able to do this, so I will hopefully have a success in the next few attempts. Thanks for such an informative video 😊
I have watched many pour instructions but did not feel like I could try this technique. You gave info I have not heard before and cleared up many things I did not uǹderstand. You also went slow enough and repeated important info before rushing off to the next step . I appreciate not being rushed so you could absorb the info. Thank you. Your excellent for beginners like me !
I can't believe I've been pouring for a year now, and am just now finding out I can make my pouring medium as you just described....I"m blown away cuz I just bought a can of the the one coat Polycrylic. Thanks for all you great tips!!! Blessings
I've watched numerous videos today. You are the only one who explained the heart & silicone. The way my brain works, literally, I need to hear such details so that I can fully absorb instructions & choose actions that will lead to more success sooner. Such details/info facilitates correct or better choices, because I more completely understand the process (what happens & why). Thank you.
Beginner here! The box idea is great. My Aspergers grandson and I are learning together. So far, we are both in love with this art form. He loves art and it is so good to see how good he feels doing this. You have helped me with this video. Thank you!
Thank you especially for teaching me the right amount of pouring medium and paint. The other videos I watched all were very rigid about the measurements, like 1 third this, two thirds that, but you told me how the paint should behave and what it should look like, so I just added as much as I needed to get the needed result. That helped me a lot.
Thank you for going step by step, actually speaking and giving directions, instead of having some loud music playing, while mixing fluids and using typed words to try to explain the "bounce test". I very much appreciate anyone who is honest enough to tell people to use cheaper materials until they discover if they even enjoy it.
I loves the colors. Thanks for giving such a clear explanation most video are so fast that one can't even see what colors are being used, this one is very precise and easy to follow. Thanks
Thank you - appreciate that you get to the point, and the many steps. I work for a living, and time is short in trying to learn new ideas. I work with the Elderly...and it can be exhausting. And THANK YOU for not sharing details of your life! (ie, some folks feel it's time to talk about the personal stuff...seriously?) LOL
I am so grateful for this video! I have never tried acrylic pouring. You are correct, nobody talks about every little step. I have paints that are 4 years old; I really need to go ahead and use them. I cannot think of a better way to use up old paints than acrylic pouring. That will make more space for newer paints, God help me.
OK, I watches this video a few times slowly and wrote down a lot of notes before even trying to pour. You are the absolute best at explaining the process! You are also 100% correct when you said that it is not as easy as it looks! But after ending up with muddy areas a few times, I finally got the hang of it! Thank you for this video, I am enjoying the process of learning about this method of painting.
Finally! Your tutorial was wonderful! I was wondering how to do this"pouring art" and exactly what "recipe" to use...you've explained everything. I can now try my hand at this. Thank-you!
Thank you. You're the only one I have found that gives the total list of what you need, and well as a step by step instruction. Can't wait to try this!
Thanks so much for making a full tutorial on how to do this type of artwork ❤️ I’ve seen videos of pours all over IG but none have been as helpful as yours has! This is exactly what I needed to watch so I have a better idea of the materiel I need to start doing these on my own ❤️ TY so much!
Thanks you SO MUCH for explaining the difference in products (I went & checked prices on some of the medium and paint you mentioned and yeah...expensive buy-in to start. Left without them and was kinda bummed) NOW I know how to make my own (tons of shades of acrylics already - the cheap craft kind!) So my initial investment is going to minimal! So excited to be able to try this with the 14yr old baby boy currently locked in with mom and 100% OVER IT! HE is going to do an original for his newly redone bedroom in UNC colors,( the quarantine boredom struggle is REAL I tell you! Lol!) I hope it inspires his creative side and gives us a hobby to do occasionally TOGETHER🤯! THANK YOU for your concise instruction with options for each step and what each item does for the process. You truly took the mystery out of the entire process so it CAN be fun! Idk what you did/do for a living but I certainly would have loved to have you as a teacher! Your so down to earth I felt like I was just listening to a friend explaining things, as opposed to many videos that seem....pretentious. Your honest, unapologetic nature is refreshing and fills me with joy and inspiration! Subscribed and eagerly awaiting new vids!
Thank you for sharing this information in a clear and non technical manner. You have given me the confidence to try this method. I also didn’t know you could practice the method using craft paint. That way the cost isn’t prohibitive. Thank you
I've been watching videos for about 2 weeks and saving most trying to understand. I got to the point where I thought I did and it didn't come close to coming out, now, thanks to you I see why it didn't. I was using paint straight from the bottle with really no clue how to layer or even pour. Watching your video to me was like eating popcorn at a great movie, it just hit the spot and I didn't want it to end. I know that I saved it at least 3 times to make sure that I didn't lose it. Thankyou!😊
Fantastic instructional. I need to hear all the details, why you add certain things and the science behind it. You work is gorgeous!! Thank you SO much for this!
Great work! Thank you for showing this, I really feel like I can finally do this. And your methods are fairly cheap and easy to follow. Again thank you.
Thank you soooo much for taking your time. This is a well explained video. I have NEVER tried this before. I am starting to homeschool this upcoming school year. This is exactly what I needed.
I was able to write all of the steps down. This was so much more informative. I've been wanting to try this now I will have more confidence. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing your technique. I tried pouring several times and could never get cells. I was about to give up until I saw your tutorial. Can't wait to give it another try!
I've been watching tons and tons of pour for beginners videos so i can do a painting workshop at our winery, Fox Creek Vineyards, and teach others how to make this beautiful type of art. Your videos are very straightforward and streamlined and my husband and I both love ur your videos and think that they're great for beginners and for those looking for more guidance in pouring
Excellent video for us beginners! I wanted to try a pour, but until I watched this video, I didn’t think I knew enough. I was right to wait...I learned a lot! Thank you so much! I subscribed.
I had to laugh, I bought that exact bag of plastic cups over the weekend because I didn't like using the shot glass sized red cups, & they cost more. Your commentary is too cute. I just started paint pouring about a month ago, and anything I don't like, I wait until it's dry & just start over! My biggest problem is that I have a tiny yard, so I'm making a BIG mess in the garage because I didn't have a drop cloth when I decided to start painting. I'm now using an old blanket & my husband's construction sawhorse - he is being very accommodating but I got reprimanded for a few drips he found on his new truck. Oops. I've been using coconut hair oil to create cells, it works great. I bought it to use on my hair & it didn't work well but I hadn't thrown it away, I saw it on a RU-vid video & remembered I still had it. 😉 Thanks for the tutorial, I enjoyed it. I'm still seriously a beginner & I've done 23 canvases after doing 15 wood circle pieces that now hang in my garden and brighten the yard. You can always start small, right? 😊
Dear Cecilia, Thank you for sharing, and especially being very HONEST about the Money !!! I'm on a fix income.. But I want to BADLY want to make these for my grandchildren.. Your a great teacher !!!
Detail, detail detail!!!! Just what I needed. I have tried this another way and used rubbing alcohol w/water spray to make cells in the pour. But I like this better. Thank you for describing the supplies needed and where to get them. Thank you!!!
Thank you so much, a wonderful video. I have wanted to try this but never knew just how to start. So glad you gave detailed information on all the added mediums, silicone, etc. I will definitely try this now, saved your video to watch while I do it.
Cecilia, thank you so very much for your vidio. Finally I understand the pouring technic after several times of messing up and frustation. My hope is rising I'm able to do it too.
Thanks for this very informative video! As you said lots of people skip the basics, making it difficult for novices. I love the piece you came up with a lot!
this was an awsome tutoriol now i can try this with confedance, and you were right no one had ever explained the step by step on what to do first and what materials were needed.. thank you so very much very informative.
Thank you for breaking down so many tricks of the trade for us newbies! I have 2 failures under my belt, I knew someone could help me shorten the learning curve!
I have watched so many videos trying to figure how to do this with the pouring since I am a new beginner. You explained everything and I so so so appreciate it. Thank-you, Thank-you, Thank-you. Your picture turned out beautiful.
You are an excellent tutor. My first pour will be a good pour after watching this. Thank you. Now all I need to do is collect all the items needed to give it a try.
I'm so excited to try doing this, I'm collecting supplies 😂 I just want to thank you for realizing that there aren't a lot of great videos out that explain the nitty-gritty type instructions on starting out. I also want to thank you for explaining why you should and shouldn't do certain things and what each ingredient does for the final outcome of each piece. I will start off small and cheap to get a feel for things like you recommended. Awesome "How-To." Love this!! 💕
I have been extremely interested in trying this out . This one would really pop with a black light ! This really looks fun. Thank you so much for posting . Merry Christmas
I really.. Really appreciate the fact that you made this lengthly video, and did a step by step process... You are the only video I have come acrossed that has done this.. And I really appreciate youre dedication.. Youre an Awesome teacher.. Thank you extremely much for this tutorial..
I have watched so many videos and I've went through more paints and canvases trying to get it right. I wish I had found your video before I wasted all that money and time. Thank you for the time you spent making the video. I'm now off to try it again doing it your way.
