Acrylic Pour on a Vase | Tree Ring Pour with Peacock Colors

This is an acrylic pour on a vase with peacock colors using the dirty pour tree ring method, which I think gives you the most beautiful canvas at the end :) I love this!!!!
I do not prep the vase at all except by cleaning it with alcohol.
Materials used:
Artist's Loft Flow Acrylics
DecoArt Metallics
Floetrol
Water
Ratios: 50% floetrol, 30% paint, 20% water

I love to watch you work. Creative, artistic, and fun. When I do a vase like this, I use a paper towel roll with about 1/4 inch of towel still on so it has some stability. I wrap the bottom in plastic wrap so the paint flows off and isn't absorbed. But it give me a handle and I can easily move it around if I need to. I can actually hold it sideways as I pour. I even leave it on the roll until I have finished with the varnishing spray.

Wow this video on doing a tree ring on the ... totally just relaxed me and helped me get my mind off of what’s going on now. I suffer with depression and anxiety, a very interesting combination. Been doin pours for almost a year now and haven’t tried glass or vase pours. Ty I always love your work, how you do things differently.

What happens when your painting comes out like a dry river bed? Can you tell me the measurements of paint to each canvas? Do you always want to add flotron or water to the paint or both? Thank you so much for your paintings.

@@virginiaechols558 yes do you always add water? How much water do you add? Yes is there somewhere I can see how many ozs is needed for each canvas size? For this one you said 12oz, the 11×14 what about all the other canvas sizes?

Thank you for explaining the measurement for paint. Trying to get better at judging that part. Do you always mix up large batches of your paint with flotrol and water. Curious because I hate wasting paint. I’ll have to buy more containers to keep them from drying out(currently just using cups one project at a time.
