La musicalidad de Domingo es impresionante en todo lo que hace, aunque tenga ciertas limitaciones vocales para algunos papeles, pero toda esa pasión que le imprime hacen creíbles todos sus roles. Hasta el mismísimo Pavarotti dijo una vez: "NO ME GUSTA ESCUCHARME, SI DESEAS CONVERSAR CONMIGO Y NO TERMINAR LA CHARLA HAZME ESCUCHAR A PLÁCIDO"

ALTHOUGH MANY DOES NOT THINK PLACIDO HAPPEN TO HISTORY AS THE TENOR MOST COMPLETE OF ALL TIMES

I have preferred Domingo to Pavarotti since I first heard the voice. I find it lyrical/dramatic, beautiful tonality, wonderful top notes that have thrilled me more than Pavarotti. I love this voice more than any but Caruso and Corelli !

man o man they practically had to hold me down on this last scene over at the met opera in nyc....that key of C ending drives me like a locomotive right over the parterre box..."hold him down!" whispered the contessa to her nurse!

I have to notice I can only regret I´ll never see this performance...When it was performed in Vienna I lived behind the iron courtain and couldn´t do there. Chenier I saw in Vienna 2 years ago was so poor compared to this one.. :-(

Cant wait to hear Kaufmann in this later this month!!!

Qui Domingo è veramente bravo! Non so da dove gli viene questa tenuta vocale, a parte il Sin finale un po stiracchiato...il resto è ok...bravo

Domingo is fabulous; I love Benackova but her voice isn't right for Maddelena. The staging looks wonderful.

Lástima que Plácido Domingo está empeñado en hacernos olvidar su glorioso pasado con el espanto de las cosas que se empeña en cantar como barítono que, por cierto, no lo es.
