I use to feel like this about old people being rude until i got a lill older and really thought about it. They have lived a long life and experienced the harshest things life throw at us several times at that. They have paid their dues and earned the right to not give a damn and be selfish. They have spent over 50 years getting paid trash, dealing with horrible bosses and customers, robbed by banks, couldn't even retire cause the a system doesn't want to pay them what they are owed, lost parents, spouses and even children, not cared for or thought about by children and grandchildren, friends are dead or senile, cant or are barely getting ssi which they paid a fortune into, horrible medical care, lonely, sick and the list goes on. Of course They are hardened by life and we should cut them some slack. We will be their age one day and can only hope it's better for us or that we can still find joy in life. Most of them are depressed, sad, angry, feel abandoned and done wrong and just waiting for it to all be over cause they feel they have nothing to keep living for, a lot are full of regret etc. We as children, a society and government should take better care of our elderly instead we over look them, are mean to them and allow people to take advantage of them and don't see their value.
mahogany sweets just cause ur old doesn’t mean u can be a bitch. i’m still a person. and i hate the saying respect your elders when they don’t respect you
One of the many reasons I can't with funerals. I mean people do mourn in different ways but there always seems to be that one (and sometimes it's someone that isn't even that close with the deceased or the family) that just wants use it as an excuse to act up and do the absolute most.
NiNi Curlz There is always that one person at every funeral who hasn’t spoken to or visit the person who died in years, acting the biggest fool. They are the one jumping into the casket, knocking over the flowers, sobbing all over people just doing the most.
My parents went to a funeral for a man's wife and apparently the in laws don't like eachother, so they told me some crazy drama went down. They came home late in the night.
Joshua McDowell There's this video on youtube of this haitian lady acting a plum damn fool at a funeral. Please go search for it. I died laughing because I'm haitian and there's always people acting extra at funerals.
jeannie's not wrong though; studies have proven that the work environment directly affects an employees state of mind... lots of natural sunlight alone makes for a happier person than cold artificial light all day, that's just duh... lol
I agree because when I'm in class and the lights are bright I'm focused but when the lights are dim, I just want to fall asleep especially on a rainy day.
firebaby7 lighting doesn't make much of a difference when you live in places like New York, Chicago, or DC. Jeannie needs to sit her extra behind down.
osimeon00 Why not? Your eyes have photoreceptors that when stimulated by light, sends a signal to the brain which will either tell the brain to be alert or to calm down the body by either releasing or inhibiting release of certain chemicals. Blue lights or lights that imitate day light or sky light prompts the brain to be active. It helps stimulate production of cortisol for example so you feel less sleepy and more alert. Dim lights like yellow lights which imitate the color of sunset sends a signal to the brain that it is going nighttime which increase production of melatonin, a hormone that makes the brain fall asleep. This is why office spaces often use white light to increase alertness and productivity. And this is why watching tv or using your cellphone is not recommended before sleeping esp for insomniacs because it emits blue light which is a wavelength that inhibits melatonin so you have a hard time sleeping. Moreover, our bodies have genetically evolved to be dependent on light as a means to survive so it does matter. Light creates chemical reaction in our brain and body, thus it is very important in work productivity. Like it or not, it is the same reason why extremely snowy countries suffer from depression aka SAD or seasonal affective disorder because countries that recieve less sunlight makes the brain produce less happy hormones like endorphins which stimulate good mood and regulate emotions. Why do you think people tell you to get some sunlight aside from tanning? It's because sun light helps increase secretion of happy hormones. So again, lightning biologically matters.
At my high school graduation there were parents fighting in the stands during the middle of the graduation. The sad thing is the parents had to be escorted out.
Lmao! Tamar is soo talking about Kandi's wedding. I remember her father was the pastor and he asked "who giveth this woman .." and mama joyce fanned her hand at Kandi's father and said "He do" haha!!
People act crazy in the DMV, Check Cashing Place, on the Train/Bus and even in restaurants. One time I was in a Chinese Restaurant eating my "General Tsu" when this man 3 tables away body slammed someone into a table !!! I picked up my plate and Sprite, stood up, went to the corner and kept eating. They tore that restaurant up !!! #SMH
People act the fool everywhere whether it is church, weddings, DMV, grocery store, airports, parks, and restaurants. When I see people acting the fool in public I just keep on walking and minding my business. There are more important things in life than to worry about people acting the fool in public. And it is so true that people that work at the DMV have such horrible attitudes there, I think they personally hate their job. LOL.
MsBrooklyn11232 Of course you keep your opinion to yourself when someone is acting a fool in public. But that doesn't mean it's acceptable or that you have to accept nasty rude behaviors. People forget the most common courtesy's these days.
Ppl at the dmv stay with an attitude. They must hate their jobs. It must be like a soul sucking job. But I'm jobless right now so any dmv Ppl wanna trade places with me???
DMV is one of the worst places to work, deal with people and all of their personalities all day.... it really is soul-sucking and wouldn't wish it on anyone.....
I love how everyone makes fun of what Jeannie says but she pretty much always correct or makes more sense than the others lol. Changing the lighting would make a difference she ain't wrong!
YYYYYYYYYYEEESSS!! People at the DMV (or Drive Test Centers as we call them here in Canada) are so rude, especially the testers. I have yet to pass mine, but still. I know I almost killed us but you don't have to be so serious and tense, smile and take the bass out of your voice. I'm nervous enough and you are not helping :@ Do females test better? I had guys both my times and I failed. I SWEAR I'M A GOOD DRIVER!
Y'all need to stop the hater-raid on Loni. You don't HAVE to tune in. Either way, she's getting paid to do what she does. How much are we getting paid just to sit around and watch her. #GetALifeAndStopHating
I love that hair on Tamar! It's pretty on her. Also, as far as Adrienne story on the plane, did her friend give her a sleeping pill or some type of medicine to knock her out while she's on the plane? All of these stories were funny!
Jeanie is right though about changing the lighting. I wonder why lights are so dim and minimal in the DMV’s, it really sets a dreadful mood and makes everything look grey, no wonder why the workers always got an attitude.
It's not anything to make an issue of. She was just making an account of what happened. I swear people fabricate beefs and invisible shade for pure entertainment.
When I see couples acting tense in the grocery store (whisper shouting, loud shouting, tense/angry looks, and walking separate from each other - why?) I have to wince; Life is too short for that stupidity. That's pretty much the epitome of ~acting a fool~ in public that I've seen. Its always in the grocery store! Aww Loni's gone to church! I don't have one currently, but I'm going to join one at some point....
I, Adaora this is a good website to find a good church in your area www.sermonaudio.com/sermonssource.asp?localSection=Church i found mind in the UK like this :-) but it's an international database
The funniest places people always act a fool are at weddings and funerals. At weddings, either the mom, aunt or grandma got attitude and just ACTS. A. FOOL. At funerals, that one woman just BUSTS out hysterically bawling, flailing around, screaming "JESUS!" and "LORD, HAVE MERCY!" I'm sorry, this may sound rude, but I went to the funeral of a relative of which I had NO idea who they were and this woman did just that; screamed for Jesus to have mercy, flailed around, swung her arms everywhere and acted like the Holy Ghost took over her body and I was in the back...DYING OF LAUGHTER. I could NOT hold it. She just MADE. MY. LIFE.
Tamera is soooo right! I went to the DMV a few weeks ago and just sitting there waiting, I could see some people leaving a lady's desk so pissed b/c she had the nastiest attitude. It's terrible. They act like someone put a gun to their head and forced them to work there.
I had the same thing happen to me. When I joined the choir, they didn't want me sit down. Everytime, I sat down, I was in somebody's seat. I got sick of this and left.
Chastity B. The Entrepreneur yeah, Jeannie has a good point. Lighting does have an effect on mood. And DMV lighting is the bad kind (glaring, fluorescent, whitish - totally unlike natural light). Plus it's got to be hard to be in possibly dead-end jobs with the public often having just as bad of an attitude.
Omg!! Tamar was sooo talking about Kandi Burruss' ( From the real housewives of atlanta) wedding with Todd Tucker, and Her mom, moma Joyce! Lmao!!! #shadenoshade 😂😂😂🙈🙊👀🌴
One time in the DMV. I asked my boyfreind to accompany me. While we were waiting for my number to be called. We hear women screaming f*** you . we turn around and its two pregnant women just arguing on the top of their lungs. And says if you or I weren't pregnant i would kick your face. The only 2 security guards had to escort them out. My boyfriend and I just laughed non stop.
Loni, please. All those tall tales you tell so well. What about people actin' a damn foo' on Black Friday? People yellin' and gettin' trampled over. Shoot.....
Omg I was waiting on somebody to talk about the dmv workers. Tamera took the words straight out my mouth. Dmv workers always have the WORST attitudes ever. You gotta take a couple sips of wine to calm your nerves before you go to a dmv because I swear they make you loose your temper real quick. 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 Tamera yass
It is so true Tamera. I feel like the first and most important qualification to work at the DMV is to be someone with attitude and also look miserable.
Yes hunny them ⛪ mothers don't play about their seat Chile. Mother Jenkins been sitting in that seat for over 30 years. And she shalt not be moved. Lmaooo that is until the Lord calls her home. Lol 😂😂😂😂
My dad and his wife start arguing in front of friends and family with no shame! One time I had to tell them to shut up. I haven’t been back. It’s been two years. I got Tired of it.
Public washrooms, movie theatres, sporting events, concerts, grocery stores, etc. I'm Canadian, but I have watched messy people on TV over Black Friday sales.
