Reducing lens diopters? Don't try any of this at home. This is all highly experimental, unapproved, and definitely requiring research and reading and critical thinking. And still, you're totally doing a thing you're probably not supposed to. Especially for anyone going "but what are the stepz, bro", this is definitely and absolutely not for you. The Jake Origin Story: I grew up with glasses, 5.00 diopter high myopia, and yet today have 20/20 natural eyesight. No surgery, no glasses, I figured out how myopia actually works and how to reverse it (and no, not eye exercises!) The mainstream tells you it's impossible - but the whole concept that myopia is an illness, is complete unscientific nonsense (a 100 billion dollar a year profitable nonsense, though).

Yet another nice & concise video. So I do get that strange/ funny feeling when doing active focus, hard to describe. This is normal I guess. I found that I can do active focus even with 1 diopter lower compared to prescription, but it takes too much effort to implement in habits. Therefore didn't see improvement for a long time. Best to reduce just 0.25 and properly measure before you reduce. Hardest part is to not speed up reducing.

Why is it that my eye prescription gets worse over time? For example, lets say I am at -1.25 and then next year it's actually -1.75. I don't change my eye glasses and continue wearing the -1.25. what will happen then? Will i go back to -1.25 over time? If so - why did the change happen in the first place. Also are there habitually changes you introduce into your life when reducing the prescription?

For the ones struggling getting prolonged AF time: check Todd Becker's presentation on using two distances, D1 and D2 while doing it, both for differentials and normalized. When focusing up close briefly (clearly within diopter bubble) you 'remember' your brain how a sharp image looks like. The more detail this object has, the better. When switching to edge of blur afterwards you see your brain wants to automatically clear up the blur. I figure blur adaptation hinders quite some people improving and this is a sustainable way of working around it.

I think I found active focus. On day 1 I tried to read my phone from a distance not too far just like the edge of the blur like everyone explained BUT it wasn't working no matter what I did it wasnt clearing up like my eyes weren't adjusting at all I kept praying to God to help me with this since it was just frustrating, after like a week I found a youtuber with the name of "Myopia is mental" he explained how to relax your eyes like by his methods which was "Rocking" like you move your body side to side and look at something while not focusing onto it and being aware of your sorrounding thats when i got clear flashes and weird feeling in my eyes, I then tried to do the "Active focus" on a text and it was finally clearing up ofc at a distance not too far since it's just the beginning for me. I realized the most important thing for active focus to trigger is relaxation of eye muscles, without it it wasn't working for me. It feels nice doing the "print pulling" or "print pushing"method now. Also thank you for your explanations it's just amazing to know people like you exist, I watched tons of your videos it's just motivating to watch where you like have people brought up sharing there stories.

Now, imagine your muscles like triceps, when you lift something, your triceps will contract. The heavier the object you lift, also the more frequent you lift, the easier it is for you to lift anything. Because, your muscles is strong. Hi Jake! Sometimes I think that I confuse AF with staring which is a no-no for improving my vision. I've noticed that in order to clear the blur I sometimes start to blink too much and stare at the object as if commanding it to become clear. What's the difference between AF and staring?
@spirittouchrecords2785
@spirittouchrecords2785 2 года назад
The difference is that you do not need to stare. Once you cleared up the blur, you can look on other things, but better at the same distance, because if you look at other distances the eye will change the focus on the next blink and if it is too far away or too near it wont work with clearing the blur. I use active focus on 3 meters with my TV and printed textsize Arial 105 and glasses 1.25 lower than 20/20 vision. It works very good.
@mysli_vsluh
@mysli_vsluh 2 года назад
@@spirittouchrecords2785 I've noticed that each time I blink I lose the clarity, e.g. once I have a clear flash as soon as I blink it's gone. And how do you clear it up if not staring? You focus on the same object, blink and wait for it to become clear, like that?
@spirittouchrecords2785
@spirittouchrecords2785 2 года назад
@@mysli_vsluh Of course you add some blur by blinking, that is the eye fluid. You look at text and keep normal blinking. Every blink will make the eye to re-focus and the text will become more clear. This can take some minutes, depends on your ciliary muscle relaxation. If you get a pretty clear text you should stop frequent blinking and hold that clear vision for a little while. That way the stimulation will make more effect and you get rid of the ciliary muscle-strain and the focal plane-blur, which means your eyeball was stimulated a little bit shorter. If you hold that clear vision for longer time and blink less frequent, only when needed, then even if you blink, you will see that the fluid-blur is only a little bit and you can have the same clear vision even with blinking, the most blur in the beginning is because of the focal plane-blur, which you clear up with active focus and that is the blur, positive stimulation is about. I blink while reading textes on my TV, the eyes can move. You don't wait for a clear-up, it happens right after blinking. The more you blink, the better the eyes can focus and clear up the blur. The ultimate clear up works with "giving a yawn" when you are tired, your ciliary muscle is relaxed at most, then you will have like the strongest clear flashes possible.

Hey Jake, greetings. I have -2.5 in both eyes. I am 15 and I go to high school. So what I want to ask to you is, since I sit at the back, I can't see the what the teacher writes on the board clearly ( I can make sense of some words but can't for some which are far away from me). So I use active focus to clear my vision and that REALLY works. I can see clearly for 10-60 second depending on how well I executed the active focus. So the active focus which I do to clear the blur help in making my eye get good? Or I have to do active focus at home only with some words in my front? Can I do active focus while watching TV, I watch English shows so I use subtitles ( I live in a different country that's why). So can I use subtitles as a way toa active focus? Please answer my questions, it will be a great help sir. Thanks for your time. If any viewer is reading my comment, they can share thier experiences or answer my questions, it would be really great help. Thanks.

@thetrickster9885
@thetrickster9885 2 года назад
@@toastmastertwo9289 Ok so what I do is put my specs on because it's not upto the power which my eye needs because you need some less dioptre for your eye to adapt. Okay, put on specs and blink 3-5 times while looking at the board really quickly ( you won't look like a doofus trust me, I do it everyday) If you can see clearly then remember to NOT BLINK your eyes, keep them open as long as you can, after some time you can close your eyes and do it again. If it doesn't work the first time, I suggest you try to practice this technique at home. Take a printed paper which has some words written on it in good font, keep it in front of you and move away from the paper bit by bit until you notice a slight blur. Now when you notice that blur, stop right there and try to do the same active focus techniques. You will get it eventually.
