Visit Nissan Assist regarding the 2019 - 2020 Nissan Altima on how Nissan is extending the emission warranty coverage on certain active grille shutter assembly to 15 Years or 150,000 miles, whichever occurs first.
Everyone seems confused by this video. This shutter closes for aerodynamic performance when cooling is not as needed like with highway driving, and open when cooling is needed, as in city driving. This plugs into an actuator on the right side. If you look at 2:32 you'll see where it plugs in, why this is not described, I don't know. Also, this is just the shutter part, it could be the actuator is malfunctioning, so if you replaced the shutter and it still isn't working, it could be the wiring, or it could be the actuator, or something may be preventing it from moving, as in it was possibly misaligned when installed or blocked. It could also be a fuse.
My thing is why is Nissan installing these in Altimas it’s not a sport car it cost me almost $400 for parts and to install and that’s not even at Nissan and now it’s malfunctioning again in 6 months now I gotta get it reinstalled
Just replaced mine, it took about 2 hours doing it in my driveway. I had to jack up the car on the driver side. I also used an electric ratchet because the space inside is pretty tight. I found the part online for $160. When I took the old part out I saw 2 cracks that were impending movement.
Replaced the part but the check engine light is still on. The wires look fine and disconnecting the battery didn’t work. How did you clear the CEL? Did you delete the code? Thanks
@@NissanDoctor where is the wiring located? An is there a fuse that could be bad? I have the P059F code too, what all do I check b4 replacing the whole Vent?? Thanks for your time
How is this connected to the computer? I just got my car repaired at the body shop and i was not having any issues with this until after. I just wanted a fog light replacement and a repair and this code pops up
You don't need this part. Just chunk it but leave the actuator hooked up to the harness. It's manly to deflect air over the hood at high speeds and faster warm up. It will run just fine without it.
I have a 2016 I really angry at nissan for not doing a good job making the cars very disappointed I'm going to try to get a new one before the car that I buy will brake down
