Great video. I just bought my first Garmin product, a LiveScope Plus Ice Fishing bundle. I was struggling with the software update until I watched your video. You were right about it taking a long time to transfer the update from your phone to the Garmin device, then having the unit update - but it did work following your instructions using the Active Captain app.

unfortunatly every time my update starts it goes for like 4% then says "Update Paused" and then my phone goes back to "Check Now" and the transfer stops. tried a restart and took the sd card out a couple times but it keeps canceling.

I'd try doing it with your mobile network turned off and just wifi on connected to the chartplotter

Yes, a micro/SD card must be inserted to create an ActiveCaptain card, which will pair with the ActiveCaptain app. The card must remain in the device to use ActiveCaptain features.
