Lo que aprendí en el vídeo fue la expresión tomar fotos, es que sólo conocía la expresión sacar fotos, el año que viene voy a conocer Colombia por eso quiero aprender todas las expresiones posibles de Colombia!!!! Saludo desde Brasil!!!😊
Sacar fotos también es correcto. Un español dice " Tio, no te cortes, dejame sacarte una foto" Un latino dice, wey, te voy a tomar una foto" Yo crecí en Madrid, así que no estoy muy seguro si hay latinoamericanos-as que usan el tu y el vosotros. Tu y vosotros los uso frecuentemente. Tu- yo informal Vosotros-as you plural- informal Usted y ustedes supongo que los conoces. Yo no sé si tu idioma nativo es el castellano, pero a mi ver, lo escribes muy bien.
Me gustan los camarones, pollo y vegetales mixtos. es mi plato asiático favorito. También me gusta especialmente cuando hay berenjenas en las verduras.

And now after listening to it 2 or 3 times ...I love it again as always. It was challenging which is what I want. I got the Mas tarde / luego de question wrong. The mas tarde option didn't seem to fit, but I wasn't familiar with luego de so I didn't choose it. Need to look at that phrase a bit more until it becomes more natural for me. Absolutely loved this lesson test. More of these with expression please! :-). I find the expressions extremely helpful, as when you're new to learning Spanish, you literally say exprressions word-for-word, thinking that it makes sense, or that's the one and only way to say it. But then you get to intermediate/upper-intermediate and realise that there's a whole entire ACTUAL phrase to express that thing. For example... ...When I very first started Spanish years back, I always thought to say: "It has nothing to do with that!" was "No es nada de eso"........but many years later, I learnt that it is usually expressed as: "No tiene nada que ver con eso".

Algo que no puede faltar sounds like you might want the expression "It never fails", as in "It never fails; whenever you get into line at the store, the person ahead of you has a problem." "It never fails; whenever you need something, you can't find it." Or it could be "you can't miss it" or "You can't pass up..." or even "You can't avoid"? as in "You can't pass up the opportunity to look at the craft booths."

It is strange they way coincidences happen in life. Absolutely strange. I started learning Spanish with strong motivation about a year ago, more seriously in the last three months. I just returned from a month in Lima. As I am learning, I look for good conversation videos on RU-vid. I came across Maria’s videos, and I was taken by her beauty, and the style of the videos interested me. I’ve been watching her videos regularly for a few weeks now, all the while wondering, Who is this girl? Which country is she from? Is she single? (She is not!) so then during this video I notice they are in my region. Of all places, I thought maybe she lived in Mexico or Colombia. But not.. The South. Then I research the couple’s website some more, and learn that they live or lived- not sure currently- in the city I live in, Nashville! How random... Are you guys running conversation groups in Nashville by any chance?! (Mar 2021)
Maria, my eyes are drawn to the captions so I’m not as involved in active listening. How do I change that? If I do not look at the captions, I don’t understand enough to comprehend the full meaning. It’s like I need both. I want to understand the SPOKEN language at this point.
Watch it twice. First time around, cover the subs with paper or whatever, and see what you can allready understand, or at least think you understand. Second time around, watch it WITH subs, and check if you were correct, and learn the stuff you didn't understand. I use this method all the time, also with movies and series. It's a little more time consuming, but it is a great aid in learning how to listen properly. (for this particular video... you could always just close your eyes :) )
Obviously you gain insight by the video to the words spoken, but I appreciate the fact that you didn't title what the short video is about (spoiler alert). I hope you do more of them like that.
Que no puede faltar = Que nunca falla = Que no falla nunca. ("Que falla nunca" needs one big NO, Spanish and its crazy doble negación when nunca is after the verb, but not when it is placed before the verb)
