Actress and director Penny Marshall dies at the age of 75 

I'm sad that penny Marshall died, she will be missed. She was great actress, director, she's a legend. She will be missed. May she rest in peace

I really get sad when we lose people I grew up with, it just reminds me how quickly time goes by. RIP Penny. Thanks for the memories.

That great attitude demonstrated by so many of the great older entertainers..."I hope I made people laugh, moved them, and didn't hurt anyone!". Thanks for helping raise so many of us "Laverne"...rest in peace.

Laverne And Shirley is one of my favorite TV shows from the 70's and early 80's. I was a little girl in the 70's, and I have fond memories of this show. Penny Marshall will be missed.

Growing up in the 70s and 80s she was a great part of my childhood. This is definitely sad for me. Rest in peace Ms. Marshall.

Everyone loved Laverne & Shirley. Back in the day, after watching the show we all talked about the jokes in our workplace, the next day, old school style. They really were very entertaining. Lots of laughs. It was was sad to hear of Penny Marshall's passing. She was talented in so many ways. She had an amazing life. I hope her brother Gary was there to greet her. Love you Penny. You were like a big sister to me growing up along with Shirley Feeny. Then, you do a movie about a woman's baseball team from my hometown. Rockford Peaches made our city recognizable for more than shootings. You had a clever mind and your movies are all quality. Will miss your humor. Rest in peace my dear.

Memories of watching Laverne and Shirley on my black and white 13 inch Sanyo T.V. are flooding me right now. On family nights we would gather in the living room, relax on plastic covered furniture and watch Laverne and Shirley on my grandparents 24 or 27 inch Zenith color television. Thank you Ms. Marshall for the wonderful memories. See you in Heaven. :)

I grew up watching "Laverne & Shirley" which was not one I watched much nor a favorite, yet it was popular at the time. Penny Marshall was an incredible director and personality. I sure feel old when so many popularly known people (musicians, actors, entertainers, etc.) of my younger days are dying at not so old an age.

She picked up a teenage boy and flung him to the couch on one episode. It would have been fun to be her friend I bet. She seems nice and sweet. She is so funny and intelligent. Im sitting here watching Lavern and Shirley. Wondered how she was doing. Oh wow, she died on my 55th birthday. That gives me something to forever remember. A lady who made me laugh in my younger years, and till to this day. Seeing her, no matter how many times I see the same show or them in a row. The movies she created and seeing this clip. Sure is the only time she made me sad. But, I will always have her in my memorys when it comes my birthday. A little secret to you all. Unless my wifey finds out. Im gonna put a L on my birthday cake every year saying thanks to Penny Marshal.....in the love I always had for her then as I still do now. She is the link towards why I choose my wife. I told my wife just a few weeks ago that the next 10-15 years are going to be rough on the musicians and celebrities we grew up with. I turned 61 a couple of months back so the people that entertained me growing up are mostly in their 70s now. We baby boomers are in the 4th quarter of life.
