the basic form of the mouth when opening, the non oily face, the extreme perfection around the eyes and the skin, and the lost seeing makes us to think this is not a normal human, is the uncanny valley.
Creepy, especially if an office is full of these robots one day and when everyone goes home, they reactivate themselves and start plotting something together
love how it says 'kokoro' in the background which means 'heart'... this robo has no heart! though i do wonder if they are trying to create a robot with one
Once SIRI (now for iPhone 4S) moves beyond it's current Beta stage, I suppose one could build a robot around the software that would pretty much kick ass!
If nothing else, I think the voice recognition capabilities were a little unbelievably advanced, especially for the longer question at 1:36... the reply it gave was almost immediate, in spite of the woman stuttering slightly at the end of her sentence. And maybe it's just me, but the replies all sounded like full recordings.
This is how I see it going one year.announcer(A) and Kokoro(K) A:So, what are some of the improvements we have made to your design? K:... A:Kokoro? K:... A:I'm sorry ladies and gentlemen it seems were having some- K:What am I? A:What? K:Am I...real...am I alive?Do I have a soul?*a sound of genuine fear can be heard in her voice* They immediately shuts down the demo and pulls their robot from the expo.
The servo mechanisms are far too bulky and need to be both simplified and miniaturized. There needs to be far more servo mechanisms and designed to give more subtle muscle control and facial expressions.
@quiena0 Unless.. they took someone else's hair to use for the robot, or.. if you think about it, maybe the material used for the hair had a natural color which was different, and then had to be dyed... maybe.
So she starts off by asking her human questions like "Is that your natural hair color?" Then she asks her "Is this the machine in your head?" Talk about giving the robot an identity crisis.
They can make me a jamie dornan one or a jax teller. Is buy it just to show it off lol. I think it may be cool. I just watched Human on amc and that it would be cool if they made robots like that.
1:59 She almost spews from the pressure of having to work alone. And her existentialism is expressed in the conglomerate of parts at 2:00 which is reminding me of those robots that used to give reviews of bad movies years ago. I am thinking the designer watched to many fishes talking in aquariums compared to how people usually move their mouths for each word they express. That robot has lost its mind working there alone. You can see it talking to itself. Poor schizophrenic robot.
so if you create a program that runs through a series of programs and selects 1 to execute at random.........sort of like ez pick lotto...... a pattern would begin to emerge in the randomness? a personality? DUNDUNDUN
