So refreshing to see a "youtuber" who does something esle outside of youtube but still does not complain about having to upload a video! Also your vlogs are a lot more interesting because you do something outside of just chilling and vlogging or going out!
TECHNOLOGY SUBMERGES PAIGE 😂... but she is amazing as usual! What a remarkable lady! I have been watching Paige’s vlogs for over one year and I’m hooked on them! Congrats you are amazing! You deserve the best!
I hope you'll be continuing with these job vlogs because I love them. It's so cool to see what people do in their jobs and how their working day to day is.
I love this! I have recently graduated too and started a new job and it’s so great to hear your experiences with onboarding and settling in, technology issues and the like. Keep it up!
No worries, this happens in Sudan all the time! I have recently started my PhD and it is online and I could not travel to attend university so I stayed in my home country Sudan. Unfortunately one day I was at a zoom meeting and all of a sudden the electricity was cut out 😭💔 so I just turned off the video and continued as nothing had just happened hahaha😂 and the other day I was attending an important lecture, then the internet service was also shut down and I lost connection 💔😂 difficult roads always lead to beautiful destinations 🇸🇩🙏🏻
oh god my eyes are so watery you have no idea. All I see is the little teenage girl who would get up and open her curtains in her dorm room as she would get ready for her morning supervisions at Cambridge :(
I also work from home and I'm also training. I have so much equipment and computers at home its truly a mess at my desk. Definitely can't complain, especially considering that as a recent grad I went practically straight from school to working from home. Totally relate.
Good luck Paige. You will do well, you work hard. Cut yourself some slack, everything is a challenge when you first start but it will soon become more familiar to you. Btw internet breaking down and power outages happen all the time now everyone is wfh, people understand but good you were able to work elsewhere and not miss anything. Glad you got the monitor, you must be staring at spreadsheets all day (so do I) so it makes a massive difference to the quality of work you can do and your well-being!
Your videos are so interesting!!! I'm also starting my actuarial career in Mexico ! I'm completely lost at the moment but hopefully I'll find a new job soon
It is worth it to get a battery backup for your router. It does not last long, about 20 minutes depending on how much you want to spend, but it is good for when the power disappears momentarily like during a thunderstorm. With that time you can keep going with the hope that power will be restored but it also allows you to inform people when working at home that you may disappear or to close a meeting early. I also have a network external drive on it so that it can be shut down gracefully preventing data corruption.
What a sweet little dog! I love the way it wanted it's belly rubbed. Also, I'd like to know what kind of exercise you're doing now that you're not doing all that biking and walking you used to do at Cambridge. And, if you buy some new "work" clothes it would be fun to see a clothes haul. Your vlogs are so interesting. Keep up the good work!
Hello Paige, I hope you are well. I love your videos! It seems like your new job is doing great, and we are all adapting the best we can to new & unusual working conditions (including teleworking and the wifi/power cuts that are sometimes associated with it). Maybe you already know that, but about the "tha" email - funny anecdote, not a big deal at all :-) - you can recall emails in Outlook if you double click on the email on the "sent items" folder, then you can click on "Actions" (ribbon at the top), and then on "Recall this message". It would need to be done quickly after sending the email though since it can only delete unread copies of the email. And you would get a notification on whether the recall was successful or not afterwards. Also, you can create a rule in Outlook that allows emails to be sent a specific amount of time after you have clicked on "send". I don't personally use it but I knew someone who had created a rule that was sending emails 1 minute after clicking on "send", allowing him to delete the email before it was even sent if he realized he had omitted something (attachment for instance). Take care!
Also, love it when your dog is in the vlog! Haha that rhymes 😄 My dog is currently sleeping, but she often annoys me when I study. She doesn’t like me studying 😂
Paige.. what brand are those headset? They look soo cool compared to mine. I’m kinda in the same boat as you, 3 week as a new contract tracer :) Anno the feeling of boring teams meetings lol
Always give belly rubs to the furry pet co-workers- don't forget to hydrate and take small breaks. Do want you can and work as a team, not for the team (I'm guilty of this).
I really like your veidios and this one was very nice, you are really so realistic You are a very good RU-vidr and wish you good luck Please comment Paige I am one of your biggest fan (Nice dog)
Paige, what a positive human being you are, i just cannot🥺♥️ can i ask you 2 things? You decided that physics aren’t the “main job of your life”? Bcs astrology isn’t connected that much to actuary as I know :D are you gonna go back to physics in future? And second, were are these watches from?😍 have an amazing career, you deserve THE BEST💖
Supet late to today's video!😭...It might be a very inappropriate question for a video like this, but can you please tell me( if you are comfortable with it) what lipstick you use? It's just so pretty and looks great for everyday use
I don’t actually think I wore lipstick in this video, I usually opt for lip balm day-to-day (Vaseline aloe or tinted carmex). But when I do wear lipstick I like Charlotte tilbury pillow talk and Mac velvet teddy (both are a nude colour)!
Hi Paige, this is just a bit of advice but when you're on meetings you might want to smile a bit because you look quite tense all the time and it's good to show off a positive vibe
Aha this was a v v long meeting with about 100 people in (more like attending a virtual lecture) so my video was off and my mic on mute! Obviously engage more when it’s a proper meeting 😝
