Honda’s in General are styled ahead of their time!

+George Levine Agree -- even though the MDX is the best seller, it's what you described. The auto line in Acura is lackluster compared to their SUVs RDX and MDX.

There are always dealer incentives on these. My dealer will practically give them away. It has a niche following at best.

This current gen 5 Series does nothing for me. I'd take this.

They're fighting Acura's reputation that they can't build a bonafide flagship - because for over a decade they didn't field a competitive product. This is worth the money but Acura spends no marketing dollars so it'll live in anonymity.

Lol cant believe u fell for this car. This car has worse lether and wood trims than the gl. If it was a acura rlx or a lexus ls. i would take the ls its more luxury. Rlx has no special features that the honda doesnt have

+FinestInstinct the acura rlx with it's hybrid sh-awd and combined output of 377hp has a starting price of a 59.950$ while a compareable lexus gs450h rwd with a output of 338hp has a starting price of 63.080$ so I don't think there is anything outrageous about the acuras pricetag and there usually isn't when compared to other cars in it's class.

Charger? This is in the luxury class. A charger, not so much.

Cimarron Negro I disagree; at this sticker price I expected more. Still the RLX is held back by its FWD-roots which simply doesn't make sense in this particular segment. A lot of better cars competes against this: I'd argue the Infiniti Q70 hybrid & the Lexus GS450h are both better buys with their RWD-platforms and can achieve just as good MPGs as this RLX does. As for AWD system, this still doesn't hold a candle to the Audi A6.

+TJC450 which cars and better in what way? looks are a matter of opinion! I do not believe you can find a similarely equipped car in that class for the same money as acura usually is the cheapest option in the luxury class.

+TandemDawgBMG The electric engines were brought in for more power. This isnt a prius where the hybrid is designed to reduce gas. If you look at the 377 hp this car makes, the mpg isnt that bad. If the gasoline engine was delivering that kind of horses, your mpg would decrease by alot. What continues to slow the sales for this car is "Wolf in sheep clothes" thing.... And the price.

That is why it sells even worse than the last model (which sold horrible), that is why in reviews it is last or barely mentioned and that is why overall is sucks. What adult has interest in a car with a hybrid powertrain that cuts off at 80mph? Whats the point? No one wants these expensive hybrids so why even go after this tiny market. Makes no sense. And how about styling the car with more than just 90 headlamps, a beak and the shape of the Accord. The RLX is sadly poorly done, overpriced and the market knows this. If it was so good, the market would buy it. Its not rocket science except to Honda who can't sell in this class since they dropped the Legend name, moved the car upmarket and have failed for 20 years. Quite the achievement lol.

+Saad Qureshi BUT...the smaller, less powerful, less nimble E400 4Matic is going to cost $70k and gets 7mpg city less. Just food for thought.
