Acura TL Low and High Beam Switch Testing

If your vehicle is having a problem from low to high beams this may be the problem. It's an easy and quick test. Depending on the vehicle you may have replace the entire headlight assembly if the low / high beam solenoid goes bad. This was performed on a 2005 Acura TL.

My son's car is a 2007 Acura TL and we tested the solenoid from watching your video and didn't hear the click on his driver side light. The headlight works with the low beams on but the driver side will not switch to high beam. Since we have figured out it is the solenoid do we have to change out the whole headlight or is there an easier, cheaper fix?

Ive experience this sir,ther is no high beam light.,the low beam is ok it function correctly.,but im realy confused w/ the wire coming from ballast or low beam side going to high beam connector,so the problem maybe solenoid? The one u do earlier in ur video.,i checked all the fuses and relays and switch but it is ok.

Thank you very much for taking the time to make this video. I had bought two headlight assemblies that didn't switch to high beams. Thought I was unlucky. Got a third. It too wasn't switching to highs and I knew for sure then the problem was with the car, not headlights. Replaced fuses, connectors, nothing worked. Then I saw this video after searching online. Showed it to the 'technician' and after two minutes, full beams! I couldn't be happier. So I've got two units that fully work but I won't complain. Thank you again!

Hey man.m, i have an acura tl 2007 & when i turn off the car completely the day headlamps stay lit up... brake lights off. Just the day lamps stay on? Do you know why this may be?

Hi I was wondering if you can help me, I have a 2007 Acura TL and recently my bulbs went out and bought new ones, after I replace them I notice my high beam wasn’t function prior to that it was. I check the fuse I can hear it’s clicking for the hi and low beam fuse and it’s getting power, the only thing I’m not hearing the solenoid if I push my stalk forward to engage the high beam. Now with the headlight off I can pull on the stalk to flick the high beam and it work. So I’m a little bit loss?.

I wanna change my headlight. However, I’m a lil confused. Is the high beam and low beam two separate bulbs. Do I have to buy four bulbs (2 high beams and two low beams)? This is for Acura TL, or is it the same bulb the projects high and low beam?

Is there a way to change JUST the bulbs? Cause i have to turn on my headlights on and off none stop until the right hid turns on its so aggravating

IDABAYAREA650I This car had the same problem. Had to change the HID bulb. On 2004+ Acura's you have to remove the bumper to replace the bulb. It's not a terrible job. I have a video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-f_7v-7YDsFs.html

when i flash my high beams I can hear the noise but they wont turn on. what could be the problem?

ive checked fuses and their fine , replaced "fog/daytime light bulbs and still nothing . i did notice today that one headlight turns on and off sometimes but the other stays off.
