Transverse mounted V6s have a jpipe, longitudinal mounted have a ypipe. Generally a rwd vs fwd thing but there are exceptions like the acura legend.

I have a v6 fwd car and I always knew it as a y pipe. Looks just like that too. Look more like a y than a j.

C'z Locs 624 559 as far as I know removing the 3rd cat w a j pipe does nothing as far as affecting SMOG , I would email RV6 just to be sure tho

I think as long as you still have your cats on the car you should be good

Since this version of the j-pipe deletes the 3rd cat completely, you’ll fail the visual inspection immediately. Unless you run some kind of cats all around, or at least have gutted cats or factory heat shields around the cats, you’ll probably fail the visual inspection for sure.

Bryant Galvez the people who get it usually do it to get a little more power. It also changes the exhaust note.

No it has a XLR8 catback exhaust

I would say the car feels less restricted since it does delete the 3rd cat but as far as gains it’s very little, it basically makes the car sound a lot better and in a way preps for PCDs (where I should certainly see good gains paired up the j pipe ) the stock exhaust has so much restriction with all those cats(3 in total ).
