I could no for the life of me remember what cells were in which of these leukemias. In three videos, you have made me understand a month and a half of my class material. Many thanks, genius...
I've had ALL sense I was 16. I've had to explain it so many times, and answer so many questions but you're series on leukemia really helps with all that and now I can just show them a video instead of trying to explain it, thank you.
I am a chronic lymphocytic leukemia patient. I came in contact with this disease one year ago. I am being given tab ibrutinib daily by my doctor. I am ver weak and my body weight has reduced hugely. Please suggest me foods to consume in diet and also foods to avoid. I am hugely anxious and perplexed with health.
My wife died of ALL. I am convinced that it was Secondary Acute Leukemia. Prior to the ALL, she had thyroid trouble & had part of her thyroid removed & was taking synthroid. Later, her doctor had her take a radio-Iodine 131 treatment. Irradiating the body too much, (I believe) cause too many mutations....the result being adult ALL. She was diagnosed in early 2005 & died a few months later. I should of sued Dr. Leroy Schroeder. We had no idea of the risks of this. So if you are recommended to have a radio-iodine 131 treatment for thyroid.... don't do it! Its a death sentence. I bet I can't sue anyway....Its been too long.
My 2-year old daughter has just been diagnosed with B-cell ALL 5 days ago. This is the first time I found courage to look it up to know more about it. Thanks for the very informative video.
hey, my 2 year old son just got diagnosed with Bcell ALL 5 days ago. How is she? what can i expect? what's her treatment? Is there a way for me to reach out to you privately?
@@da_great_mogul hey yeah she is on the maintenance phase now, and she’s doing really well. From the time I posted the comment above, it was a roller coaster ride. Lots of days that we were really worried and days that we would have high hopes. I hope everything’s well with you
@@tondoboi8494 to be honest, no. My gran most likely has this. Mum is going into the hospital in 3 hours to get the diagnosis. She's like a Mum to me. I'm distraught and can't stop crying. She's had a good and long life but she was fine until a few days ago. Sorry to vent this to you here but it's very fresh and I've spent all day on the phone to mum trying to be strong for her. I'm so thankful your daughter is doing well. She deserves a long and healthy life. God bless xxx
Not like they are carrying a sign saying "Hey, I'm a Lymphoblast, right", the educator is so funny, thanks so much for quick, clear, precise and short explaining!
Can you please help in one my query , my child is not down syndrome , secondly I don't see if there is translocation of 12:21 or 9:22 ... still she has All B cell . Can you help if is send you report of Genetic Test
You lack the scientific explanation of why things are as they are. Eg. why does chemo respond better to 12:21 translocations? An analogy is fine but only if you also sum up the reason. Your colleague that did videos on the myoloproliferative disorders managed to do this, so it should be doable :). Medicine is after all a scientific field. Also what about treatment and symptoms?
Sad to see that you did not talk more about Acute Erythroblastic Leukemia. I was diagnosed with AEL when I was 16 months, so yeh. It's a real thing that happens in the REAL WORLD you know, not only theoretically. Anyways, I am now trying to find more information about the type of cancer, but I guess it is hard to find. :/
ALL has acute in the name so is dangerous anyways according to what the teacher from Khan has said. From another video(not Khan) CLL is said to be least dangerous. So, ALL, AML, and CML are all dangerous.
