I have a cool pink undertone but decide against perfectly matching because I am very red (like couperosis red) and a warmer toned foundation makes it look beter without the washed out look a color corrector gives me
I bought blue and white pigment because I have such a hard time with finding the right color foundation, and they discontinued my perfect one, but I hadn’t thought of adding red into the foundation
I find the lighting in some shops is really bad for choosing makeup colours, you can't always go outside to check. I'm gonna try this technique, some brands are quite yellow on my high colouring. Thanks for this useful tutorial 👍
Apparently cheap foundations have that pink tint. I don’t have a pink undertone, and I’m cheap sometimes so I use cheap foundation. The result is always pinkish tinted….doesn’t matter what shade. If I don’t want to look pink, I gotta buy too faced or a pricier brand like that.
Wouldn't it be so much better if somebody would actually create a set of foundation colors that are designed for us, cool girls?! I'm so sick and tired of mixing things to match my skin tone. Why do they only offer pinks for extremely pale or darker skin?! Warm undertones are characteristic to only specific people. Those of us that have some Northern European genes, can't be yellow or green. I have a drawer full of foundations (on which I spent thousands of dollars) that I bought here, in US, that are calling themselves cool toned but they make me look like I got some terminal liver disease 😅 If you're asking me, it feels a bit discriminatory. Just saying.
Why can’t they just make foundation not so yellow? Like I’m seeing so many yellow ones that make people look like waking carrots.. it took me hours to find just one that wasn’t an off yellow.
Because foundations are supposed *not to exclude ANYBODY* ?🤷🏻♀️ The walking carrots are simply wearing other people' s natural color. Should brands make "not-so-yellow foundations so the color blind walking carrots don' t make a mistake? As an olive, I could have asked for the same "Why can' t they just make foundation not so pink/orange? A lot of yellow and cetrine people have spended their life looking pink like pig or orange like an oopmpa loompa if they dint' s have access to MAC, MUFE, KVD, Illamasqua and Fenty (the list goes on...), who have have always had full wide ranges. Plus, a yellow fundation can easily be cooled like she shows in this short but finding yellow and blue pure mixing pigments? Unachievable not so many years ago.
@@sebumpostmortem ok, but I’m not saying they shouldn’t not make it. I’m asking why that’s the only undertone the seem to sell nowadays. I went to a make up store a few months ago and when I asked if they had any with a pink undertone they flat out said no and started showing me everything that had orange to yellow undertones. I’m all for inclusion but is it really inclusion if they completely stop making one color in favor of making everyone else’s? Wouldn’t true inclusion be to keep making pink undertones like they used to and make the yellow and orange undertones? My other point is that if you look like a walking carrot then the orange under tone is not your color. The girls who have yellow and orange undertones to there skin don’t look like artificial carrots on legs because if they color is the right color then it looks seamlessly beautiful, if it’s the wrong color for that individuals skin then that’s where it makes people look “pig pink” which ouch by the way, it’s only when they have the wrong color undertone in there makeup I’d also really like to note that I was genuinely asking why it’s so hard to find and why they ONLY seem to make a certain shade range that clearly doesn’t suit a good amount of the people who where it. We shouldn’t have to use color correctors because they don’t make our undertone, nor should anyone else have to do that.
THAT'S SO STRANGE TO ME THAT YOU WOULD PUT PINK ON PINK!! I AM ALWAYS TRYING TO GET RID OF MY RED ASS ROSACEA CHEEKS & YOU'RE TELLING ME TO ADD MORE RED??!!? I TRUST YOU SO, I'LL GIVE IT A SHOT!!! 😃👍
Rose I have a rare beauty blush thats too purple on me, I bought it online and too late too return don't want it to go to waste, what can I do? I have medium to tan skin but it makes me look like I have bruised cheeks
