Realistically tho, wwe can match any check if the value of the wrestler is there. Edge is too old and worn out so obviously they wont match his check. Tony is literally just using edge’s star power and nostalgic energy to keep fans watching 😂
Honestly. This company has been sailing down since the only booker who was actually tryin to make wrestling left. And all the AEW marks and the Young Cucks and their posse are all obsessed with him to the point where everyone agrees they should just STFU and focus on their own shit. CM Punk was a megastar. he was the rising tide that was lifting all the talent in that locker room and they fucked with em and when he was gone that rising tide started to settledown for dry season. and now it's drying up. You have to be special kind of stupid to start to sabotage and try to push out megastars in the business. Vince had already shown 10 years prior the idiocy of pushing punk out when he was white hot. and Tony and the EVP's couldnt hold their fifi's in check to make sure business booms.
They sent the wrong guy out Copeland is new to aew moxley or the originals could’ve did this but this nawww and he played himself by doing it just like how they did with punk when he was there
@Inkjunkygaming24 I like Mox but he just doesn't seem like the guy for that. He seems more like he wants everyone to stfu and move on. Which is correct, but I don't see him rallying the team like that. Either way, what TK is doing undermines what everyone else wants. If he wants to improve the product, he can start by deleting his Twitter.
He went to aew to have matches with talent he never had before and to work with Christian before he hangs the boots. TKs money or not that’s his reason as for the lighter schedule he wrestles more with this last run in aew than he was with wwe. He already said he turned them down mainly because his match with sheamus in his mind was the best way to end it with wwe. He is right here cringe or not it’s ok to like more than one pro wrestling company.
Tbh he wasnt in a better situation with WWE tho like when he came back like yea he def alot left in the tank but over time they kinda just let him slip away he even said it himself tbh
I'm not gonna argue that AEW isn't a shithole (since it is) but I don't blame him for going there, his brother in arms in Christian is there and he clearly wanted to have one last run with him to end his career, and that's his choice.
Punk has literally been kicked out of every major promotion he worked for, then be came back begging for a job. Punk is a cancer. Kind of like Chicago is to the US. The more I think its weird, the more I realize it isn't weird. Punk is a literal virus EVERYWHERE HE GOES. Call it what you want....the Kliq didn't even have that many haters. Think about that for a minute. CM Punk is not that good, AT ALL. Anyone who thinks he is is an idiot.
Lmao He’s 50 years old, has already reached the highest points in the business, had every championship worth a damn, & even got a chance to return to the ring after a career ending injury……he doesn’t care about sold out arena anymore. He’s simply there for a huge paycheck & minimum work.
Translation: please watch our show and ignore all the bad booking decisions because we have “wrestling”. I guess Tony paid him extra to cut that advertisement.
I see why he went to AEW, but AEW is trying hard to keep up with Triple H’s version of WWE. Not saying AEW is bad, but they made WWE step up their game.
AEW being bad isn't due to wwe having heat right now. They are two very different products. One makes money and is a business the other is funded by daddy to make fantasy matches.
No. Not at all. Vince leaving had nothing to AEW. Vince leaving improved the WWE product. AeW is clownshoes and this promo proved Tony is a not "a boss".
@@al5306I thought they were talking about WWE, because the company has always thrived when they had competition. Anytime they faced any pressure from another organization, they up their game.
He did try to do the rah rah speech and it was a little uncomfortable to watch but it came from a good place then someone went and ruined it with a 2 mins context-less video that proved the other guy right now most people would say he was right about everything
This is what we call in the business damage control. You can't get a million viewers. The company is ruled by a clique of 10 people. Darby and swerve are the only 2 young guys who have any talent. But they keep doing 2nd rate ecw shit and will end their careers long before they should have.
@@guccimalcs Why do you aew fans do that? Act like you have to be a pro to comment on something? Meanwhile aew fans running around talking like they were raised in the business
This is SO BAD. I know Edge didn't really want to do this. But Tony Khan was so desperate to downplay Punks' interview. Dude, this does even more damage.
That's exactly the problem. Good job articulating it. Tony acts like a kid with a toy box. It drives me nuts. He acts likes he everyone's friend but doesn't care about their well being. Friendship isn't gonna do much for Darby when he becomes paralyzed in the next 5 years
Tony lets Edge do his own booking and come up with his own promos and isn't trying to spiff him up with lame gimmicks and restricting him to wrestling two guys for a year.
I love how his message here is let's focuse on the positives and how much fun he's having right now and I come in here to the comments and its full of "oh look how sad he is he's trying to cope" completely steamrolling over his point showing no one ever listened to him. Edge has nothing to prove. He's already a hall of famer. He's focusing more on enjoying his last run before he retires. "he's just mad he couldn't get into wrestlemania" Bruh he's being very clear he's not mad about anything. People putting words in his mouth. He's main evented wrestlemania he's good. That's the point of his entire promo. He's good.
Even when edge never said anything bad about wwe. People in comments are still insulting him. They have become toxic and they love the company more than the stars
It’s not BS when it’s true but you know what is BS? Edge saying he’s going to end his career in that indie promotion. You know, when he get a chance, hes going back to the double double E
I understand what adam is saying dont pick sides love it all i do and always will i love all pro wrestling i watch every bit of it cause i love pro wrestling
Worst possible way to respond. Edge should be pissed that Kahn even put him in that situation & if he had any sense, he would’ve refused to even go out there. No response would’ve been best.
Edge still wrestles better than steroid rock. Comparing Edge's matches with Rock's is disrespecting Edge because he can wrestle 100 times better with a broken neck
@@iznovaa Edge wrestling style is 1000 times better than Rock, man what are you saying? Do u know what is wrestling? Rock just give only 1 average match Edge is competing every week and give 5 star match are u blind or something else?
I love how everyone took tht as embarrassing…. Adam Copeland/Edge has done it all. From being 1/3 of the TLC creation to holding damn near every belt in the WWE, Been in every WWE event, Main evented Wrestlemania multiple times now just chilling
On 4/3, the had Edge do this in response to the Ounk/Helwauni interview. Then on 4/10, the decided to air the backstage of Punk and Perry. Wonder what they'll do for 4/17?😂
True. Cm Punk said the same thing about WWE a decade ago and look at where he ended up a decade later. He said Vince and his idiot son in law have no clue 😂😂. He said he'd put 3-4 wins together and get a ufc title shot 😂😂. Same for his acting and writing career. _tell me when I'm telling lies_
Edge is having more fun now…when he realizes that his retirement run at the Royal Rumble in 2020 was in front of more fans combined than the last 13 AEW live events…ain’t no money like Khan money I guess.
AEW has its strong points and some hella talented folks on the roster. There's room for improvement. TK needs to take the reigns, bring in some new creative and develop more compelling content. It's made for hardcore AEW fans, which is great but, its made for hardcore AEW fans. Not the casual fans. Not for the folks that don't live and breathe pro wrestling dirt sheets. Thats the biggest issue. WWE is for the everyday person who happens to enjoy pro wrestling. They are designed that way intentionally to allow for exponential growth on a regular basis. They aren't perfect either but they do show what it takes to grow your fans base every year. They just had a record 4 days over mania weekend. Thats in their entire company history. They have fan growth and financial growth down to a science. They even have character growth down. These are whta AEW need to focus on. Not some 2 hour interview that hurt their feelings cause of a former employees views on their company.
People need to stop shitting on aew. Sting went there and liked it. It’s still new. Cm punk liked it until he didn’t. It’s wrestling, I like wrestling and it don’t matter what company. It’s like me watching wcw and wwf. Loved both. They had different people and I liked people from both.
To be honest in the ruthless aggression era I don't remember him outside of the real life feud between him, Matt and Lita. He had a decent run with taker. But to be honest outside of those 2 things I forgot about him. Because he was just a person for cena to beat up on monday.
@@danielpierce9876I never took him seriously tbh. He was a corny surfer bro who would’ve gotten absolutly dog walked in any real altercation. Never had a problem with him, just never saw him as some bad ass wrestler
I think it good that EDGE,who became one of the biggest Superstar in WWE and now Adam Copeland is still wrestling in this minor league, high school gym.
One day Edge will look back on this moment and he'll go "and you know, I knew it was a bad idea and it stunk. Punk, whether you like or hate the guy, was right about how bad it stunk in AEW. But when you've got a guy like Tony in charge and you're trying to make anything work, you're probably going to swim in some garbage over there with a smile and pretend everything is fine as you're drowning in sh*t." 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I was sad, that Edge chose AEW. At the same time, he is right, I like, how Simon Miller says the same thing. This is the Golden Age of ProWrestling. There are so many different types of wrestling, so much wrestling on tv and I understand Edge/Adam, he wants to try everything and if he is happy and it works for him. Good for him.
Honestly I don’t even know what you AEW fans be complaining about there’s nothing that Edge said to and or about CM Punk was bad at all. He never even mentioned his name. Get a grip it’s not even that deep smh.
The fans booing WWF is like a dagger through Edge’s heart. I hope he doesn’t end his career in front of a bunch of incel marks, that would much rather see him hurt himself than tell a good story.
HHH Wwe with the rock cody damian sami cm punk the usos Drew and all the others and the story lines right now is 10 000 times better then anything Aew has ever done for real
He betrayed the company that made him a star, if it wasn't for WWE he would still be in the Indies making next to nothing and now he wants to back a man that is intentionally destroying the company he works for all in the name of putting WWE out of business and yet Adam knows that's not possible
@@meme-vw1vi yes he betrayed WWE, he lied about resigning and if it wasn't for WWE he would be a nobody in the Indies. Oh and fuck WWE???? No FUCK YOU, go somewhere else with your negative and bitter bullshit
boooooo! nah f u for manipulating edge that he needs help and all of you àre putting him in this situation so I love him and he needs sincerely help now
Did the same in watching any Wrestling show that i could find . Have a big ass VHS and DVD collection that i can watch because i love pro wrestling . Can totally relate to what he is saying ,
Stuck with WWE for almost 30 years…..just to leave for a company that’s had the lowest ratings since they started…..hopefully it was a huge payday cause bruh Wtf 😂
