back by popular demand... here's my attempt at Sam Cooke's classic tune.. Always been something I would never do, but made an exception for this episode of NRK's musical game show Beat For Beat. Please forgive me Sam!
There is some very special musical performance to view on RU-vid, I've watched many, many, many, but I am still surprised that this one do no have more views. The quality of this performance is in the minimum 2-3 million range. My take is that the algorithms is not reflecting the true human experience. Personally I find it comforting that a "code" or computer can't encompass everything "human", however for this specific performance I would want the "code" to catch "all" :)
I am 67. Indian from Chile. Hv Watched atleast 100 versions of this song, so many talent shows and by other big artists.. You are the first to make me feel that it can be sung in a joyfull way, Alrdy watched your version a hundred times while hiding from Covid. Its bn an absolute pleasure and joy to hear your version and your expressions. So effortless and fun. Thanks a million. Stay safe ❤️
Adam Douglas ... singing this classic tune "A Change is Gonna Come" and seeing the emotions coming out of your voice and your expressions on your face was genuinely epic! My husband and I are both Deaf and use New Zealand Sign Language. We have speakers that emits sounds from the beat, and "seeing" your face and voice sends a vibrated "pulse" to our very soul! Awesome :-) Thank you.
Mr. Adam Douglas ... Sir. That's right. That is how I must address you. MY BOY! MY MAN! Your voice. Your rendition of Sam Cooke's timeless song is as powerful as any I've heard. Very moving and touching. You rank among God's most gifted vocalist. Thank you for sharing your gift.
Adam bro you have so much soul. You do Sam Cooke so much justice with this cover. WOW! I am definitely going to find your albums and buy. You are an artist I am happy to support. HUGE fan from NZ
The BEST cover I have heard! You not only sang the song, you put yourself into the story and you WERE the song. Will be sharing this one EVERYWHERE. Respect.
Just amazing Adam....all your songs in every style, I've been glued to Stjernekamp every week just to see you perform. I've seen The Beatles, The Who, Eric Clapton, Elton John and Bryan Adams to name but a few live in concert and I rate you amongst them. You're a true star!
Sorry Adam that I have only stumbled across this on Facebook recently, and I wish I would have come across this sooner.....What a voice!!! love your soul and tone...Please keep them coming :)
