I'm so damn proud of this conversation. Adam is one of my all time favorite vocalists and he's truly a great dude. This is one I will always remember. I hope you guys enjoy it. ❤
Dude listen to the songs "Groove Machine" and "Fade" by King's X and then go listen to the song "Just Like You" from Three Days Grace. I always wondered if "Just Like You" was influenced by those 2 King's X songs!
If Adam would come back to Three Days Grace it would be the biggest Reunion and success in rock/metal history. 99% of us fans would cry of happiness. Please Adam come home 🤘🥹
@Zoroarkillusion Exactly! Adam, Matt, Barry, Neil & Brad have nothing left to prove to anyone! Everyone just needs to let it be and be happy for all of them!
@scottstefani7876 Matt is good, too. Three Days Grace isn't as shitty like Slipknot or Nightwish because Adam Gontier left on his own. Corey Taylor made the original members leaving or fired them. Tarja Turunen was fired.
@@XTREAMER5423 3dg was never the same without adam and the popularity of the band shows this. now when it come to slipknot and nighwish well that is what happens when art becomes business.
One-X is one of my favorite albums. That album really helped me a lot during my darkest moments. It actually kind of saved my life. Adam Gontier is one of the greatest vocalists in rock.
My favorite part of the interview was when Adam is talking about a potential reunion with 3G and acknowledged that the it’s hard to just set aside the amount of good their music did for the world. His music changed my life and spoke to me in a way I needed at that time in my life. I am not unique.
I was a massive 3DG fan when I was a little boy, I mean massive. When he left the band, I was so devastated and hurt. I didn’t listen to 3DG for 5 years after he left cause I refused to give Matt Walst a chance. But I warmed up to the guy and gave him a chance finally and 3DG is still good! I hope one day Adam goes back.
Adam is the best voice in rock music, period. He lives and breathes music and you feel his passion and emotions in every song. Sharing his life and experiences with us has helped so many people, its evident in the comments.. and yet, he stays so humble. ❤
I’m 63 years old , i have always been a rocker when Adam left 3DG that was one of the biggest disappointments I can ever remember in rock ‘n’ roll and I really hope they get back together. Even though they have done ok separately …. They are magic when they’re together that we all love. Let’s all hope those stars align.
To be honest, it stung a little bit when he said he had been using when he left Three Days Grace, because back when it first happened, he completely denied relapsing, but on the other hand, I’m just glad everything is good between them now, and it’s nice to see him taking accountability for the way he left. It really shows how much he has grown since then, and he seems to be the happiest he has ever been.
Yes! You nailed it. He was on FB and thank god that he was sober and said it was basically creative direction differences. Good point--i think he has grown up and come a long way
Adam, I grew up listening to you during your Three Days Grace days. Let me just say that you leaving the band had the greatest impact on me. I’ve never seen you perform live and that is one of my biggest regrets. I hope Saint Asonia can come to Montreal so I can finally hear you and possible meet you. You are truly a gifted artist. Thank you for making music that can really make someone FEEL.
You should be proud! What an incredible conversation. Adam Gontier is probably the biggest vocalist/lyricist of my life, in the 2000s. Those 2 albums were just different and meant the world to me. I was devastated when he left, but I’m so glad that he was able to get himself together and save himself. Ironically, the other most important vocalist to me from the 90s was Scott Weiland, whose bands you also discussed. I was wrecked when we lost him. Don’t know how I would’ve handled Adam too. Thank you for this. ♥️
The biggest vocalist of the 2000s is Chester Bennington, but Adam Gontier is in the top, with David Draiman, Jacoby Shaddix, Jonathan Davis and the list continues
I said of MY LIFE. Music is subjective and you’re entitled to your opinion. I loved Linkin Park, but prefer Three Days Grace. With Adam. I don’t listen to them now.
Я рада видеть Адама в добром здравии. Очень хочется снова увидеть его выступления вживую. Спасибо Rock feed за такое тёплое и дружеское интервью. Узнала что то новое 🤘
Amazing interview!!! I met Adam touring on his debut 3DG album and again with Saint Asonia. He is so so nice . And of course so so talented. I have 3 copies of One X cd. Lol ❤
Please come to Alaska with saint asonia🙏🏼 TDG has been here twice saw them both times I LOVE that you have your new band so we get to hear your sexy voice again I love TDG AND Saint Asonia so thank you And congrats on your little family it makes me happy that you are sober and doing what you had to do to survive ❤
I remember seeing Three Days Grace at U Street Music Hall in DC a couple months before Adam left the band. It was an amazing concert, I am so glad my parents let me go lol. Neil Sanderson also did an epic drum solo that I will always remember. Adam pushed his vocals to the limit, it was just crazy. I'm so thankful that I have that memory and inspiration to carry with me in all of my musical endeavors.
I am hoping and waiting for the day to see Adam back in 3DG. I will be there screaming the words once again if that occurs, let’s hope their stars align soon 🤘🏻🔥, this was a great interview
Since Matt is 3dg, maybe they could switch a few songs, and even have Matt do some Saint Asonia songs. I'd love to hear his take of Devestate or Blow Me Wide Open
Adam gontier getting back with three days grace is a dream come true the band has been my all time favorite Rock band sense I was a kid I know every song happy to see he's doing well staying sober & there might be something in the future for him and three days grace 👑 ❤
One of the best rock vocalists of the 2000’s era. And is still a force to be reckoned with today. His and Ben Burnleys music were there for me at a time when nobody else was. I’ll listen till the day I die
I Absolutely loved this, I never knew the reason why he left, I had an idea. He had a great reason for leaving. It's awesome he has a good relationship with the rest of 3DG. I didn't know he is in a new band, definitely checking his new band out! It's great he is still making music! I hope his relationship with his family is on good terms. It sounds like it may be with at least with his children. I wish him well.
I’m glad they’re all friends again, life is too short to still hate each other. now If only bands who have been around much longer than them for example kiss could do this.
thank you thank you thank you for this interview. Adam is THE musician/artist i respect and take as a mentor. im so happy to be able to witness him doing reunion shows and this interview.
I just met him a couple months ago! He was sooo nice!! Then watched him with Saint Asonia. I actually cried when he started singing a TDG song. It brought back so many feels. He's always been my favorite vocalist ever.
Adam is a cool dude, of course, he has my name, and I have a 2yr old and 5yr old, pretty similar family wise. I saw Three Days Grace open at Caines at Mission Beach in San Diego, they had no room and were the best band of the evening, I knew they would get big. Love Saint Asonia also and his vocals on Apocalyptica, much love Adam, we appreciate your contributions to music and our lives.
Adam is one of the best musician, singer and composer in the current world music. I love his voice so much and I love lyrics of his songs. I wish him a lot of good luck in all but he doesn.t need luck when is a great artist with a great talent like him. I admire him so much and love his music alone, with TDG and with Saint Asonia. I really think Adam has bern, is and will be a real legen like musician and one of the best Rock voice like Eddie Vedder, Chris Cornell, Layne Stanley, Chester Bennington..Adam and Eddie are the last Grunge musician we have bc I think Adam is able to play and to sing all kind of music but I think his soul and his voice is Grunge forever and ever. Hugs and kisses Adam. I wish you the best and I hope all things will be fine in your life and I hope you enjoy a lot of your music and your family and friends and I wish you will be as happy as possible. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
By asking Adam to return to 3dg you are disrespecting 11 years of work that 3dg and Saint Asonia have done, if you really support Adam listen to his music in both bands and stop asking for things that won't happen
i love three days grace, old and new and i have my favorite songs from both singers but im happy with where everyone is. i found Let Live My Life and it brought me back to my younger years listening to early Three days grace songs with his vocals on it and has me getting into more of Saint Asonia. would love to see both of them together either on tour together or at the same weekend festival this summer.
My heart broke when Adam left because he'll always be one of my favorite singers and the band isn't 3DG without him. I'm glad his decision worked well for him but I'm ready for him to come back! I would lose my mind!
Adam is one of my favorite rock/metal vocalists. The 4 3DG albums he was a part of will always be on my playlists. I like alot of the new Matt 3DG songs, but I just personally view them as a different band with a different vocalist. If Adam rejoined or made more 3DG music, I'd be super hype. And Saint Asonia is a great band, check them out if you haven't listened to them. But they are purposefully a different style then 3DG, as Adam wanted to do a bit heavier stuff. But him with the other guys of 3DG are nearly unmatched.
I was a kid when One-X came out, and I got that CD but then my taste in music changed a while later. I've since started learning guitar and I've found my way back to rock, and it's so cool to watch concerts and see that Adam is hailed as a total god, and then he is the most chill and down to earth guy. Sweet video.
Last year I actually saw Three Days Grace live twice and saw Saint Asonia live towards the end of the year too. Did VIP for those shows and got to meet TDG and Saint Asonia. It was so awesome to meet Adam. Really cool dude.
2nd time listening to this interview with Adam. Yes... it's a small rural town. Outskirts of Ptbo. 😉 Even tho Adam left the band the way he did... we still 100% supported him and his decision. Okay... would anyone else love to hear a collab from Adam and Ronnie Radke?????
I saw Three Days Grace with Chevelle and Breaking Benjamin back in 2019 in Bonner Springs, Kansas, sadly without Adam as frontman but they were still awesome. I also seen his band Saint Asonia back in March of last year and they were absolutely amazing. I'm going to see them again in May along with Staind and Seether(who I have never seen live) Its gonna be a good show.
I love Adam and being from Canada and Adam and his band being from Canada makes me like them even more. It was so great to hear him sing with 3DG that one time I'm going to take Ada's advice on how t o start a band this year
What an icon! Saw 3DG on the One X tour when I was 10 🙌🏻 what an incredible time to be alive! I can’t stomach them with Matt an never will. Adams voice IS 3DG!
It’s crazy when I was 13 3 days grace came out with I hate everything about you and smile empty soul came out with bottom of a bottle I thought SES was gonna be huge and 3dg was gonna be a one hit wonder man I was wrong they quickly became my favorite band of all time (3DG) Adam is my absolute favorite singer I grew up on his lyrics and now my 16 yr old son is just as much of a fan if not more thank you Adam for everything brother!!!
Great interview! (remember seeing Saint Asonia do a surprise debut show at Rock On The Range in Columbus. Always loved 3DG but became a huge SA fan too!)
Adam is the best vocalist/Song writer in rock right now. Love him and @SaintAsonia I've seen them 4 times during the rock resurrection tour. And seeing them again this spring. Can not wait! ❤🤘🏻
Glad to see this interview. Currently watching at Fleming College in Peterborough Ontario. Was fun seeing Adam play with Saint Asonia back in April at The Memorial Center. Followed his career since the early 3DG days. Hope to see him play sometime soon again.
Adam Gontier is one of the voices of my teenage years. This guy and his amazing voice has gotten me out of some dark places in my life. I hope he knows how loved he is and how much an amazing impact he’s had on a generation. Hope he reunites with 3DG again one day (only if he wants to) if not I will still continue to show my support for SA! Thanks for everything Adam!🖤🤘
Great interview. 3DG means a lot to me as much as Saint Asonia does. Always wishing Adam nothing but good health, success & happiness. His story is inspiring & his music has helped me through me battling my mental health & things I've dealt with in my life. Keep on rocking🤘
i love that it got brought up that "i hate everything about you" was on that nascar game because i literally turned every other song off and had that song playing on repeat on that game haha, good times.
Thank you for this! I've always loved your respect for Adam and Corey from Slipknot. Literally my two favorite vocalist growing up along with Layne from Alice. ❤ thanks man
I would love to see Adam be on a song with Three Days Grace again. It'd be amazing. What would be really crazy and kinda ground breaking is if the 2 bands came together and made the ultimate album together
I was severely hungover seeing 3DG's Nashville show and seeing Adam made me jump out of the chair i was dying in 🤣 made my night for sure and my holiday out to America even better!!
