Lots of people saying get rid if he doesn’t want to be here, couldn’t disagree more. Idah’s on a long contract, the club hold all the cards and Celtic don’t want to pay the necessary fee to get him out of the club. If you give in and settle for 60% of your asking price every time a player misbehaves, how do you ever expect to get value for your players, which as a selling club is vital for Norwich. If you set the precedent, then every buying club and agent going forward will pull the same stunts. Fair play to the club for standing their ground, Celtic pays or the players stays

This is bang on. If Idah wants to throw his toys out the pram honestly fuck him He can sit in our youth team for a year or two or we sell him elsewhere. Honestly I think this adds £2M to the price if we've got any bottle. I wouldn't even be engaging with Celtic for under £8M. Take £6M from any other club

‘Just let him go’ That’s not how transfers or contracts work buddy. He has a long term agreement and needs to either act professionally and honour that or Celtic need to understand the basics of transfer value, and how contract length increases that value, and not offer 60p on the pound.

Adam was happy to sign the long contract and take a pay rise now he has to honour it. He should be asking his agent who he pays why he hasn’t got his move yet. If Celtic actually want him then they’d pay the required amount.

We need a replacement for Adam idah if he is sold to Celtic for the right price,I agree don't keep a player who don't want to be here,only a week B4 start of the season so get a deal done with Celtic ncfc and we can use that money to strengthen our team, Sargent carried a injury so we do need another forward with pace and the right age not over 30 please as Ashley barns good example injured again B4 season starts, I'd take around 5 to 7 million,we could get a loan deal 💛💚🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿👍🇬🇫

I think it's better to let go of players who don't want to be at the club, no one will benefit holding onto an unhappy player all it'll do is create unnecessary tension between the player and the fans. To an extent I can understand why Adam Idah wants to go to Celtic, he's found success up there and wants to capitalize on that

idah signed a 5 year contract last year his choice. if celtic want him they need to pay up as they are reimbursing us for 4 years of adam idah. it's celtic who's holding him back. you can't expect norwich to give him away for peanuts just because celtic won't pay

@@George._.M It may be, though, that the 5 year contract had some off-the-contract assurances that it was to get Norwich a big fee if Celtic came in. In which case he may feel the offer is enough and City are effectively going back on their word. We are unlikely to ever know that.

LET HIM LEAVE! There’s this massive recontextualising of his Norwich career. He hasn’t been good. There’s a reason we sunk like a stone without Sargent. There’s a reason we loaned Hwang. He isn’t a great player at this level. Maybe he will become great, but he isn’t today. He has balled out in a division that has 2 championship level teams, several league 1/2 standard. I say this as a rangers fan, aware of the division. He doesn’t want to be hear, he feels disrespected and Celtic are offering good money. He is not suddenly going to light up the championship. Let the poor guy go, because while he’s here, he’ll never improve and simultaneously he’ll hold us back.

A few things you might want to consider before saying Celtic ought to pay up. Last season when Idah arrived at Celtic it was reported that Norwich wanted 3m should they make the loan permanent. Now after he did well at Celtic Norwich have gone back on their word to Celtic and Idah by now demanding 9m. Celtic have said they'll now pay 6m which is double what was initially agreed last season. It does seem that the info coming out of Norwich isn't accurate and their fans are being missled. So for clarity Celtic have offered 6m for a player that 4 months ago Norwich wanted just 3m. The goal posts have been moved by Norwich and not Idah or Celtic. If Norwich aren't careful Celtic might look elsewhere and you'll be left with a player who doesn't want to be there. Of course he is your player but I dont see anyone else lining up with a 6m bid .

tbh he hasnt been good enough apart from that 1 hattrick cup game. I thought hed want to come back and prove to norwich he has what it takes but sod him. If he thinks a 6 month good spell after all this time is enough for a move then go for it, but make sure we dont get rid of him cheap.

As a Celtic fan this saga has rumbled on for to long and I've never been a fan of a player doing what Adams done recently I agree with your analysis that we should just cough up the cash and pay for him 6 to 7 mill is a fine price for a lad who basically won us the league and cup it's understandable why he wants to move we are a big big club but he shouldn't ruin his relationship with a club like Norwich just because he wants the move hopefully our board stop being tight arse gits and sign him up for a fair fee 👍

He is not yet a Lewis Grabban. This mishap can be considered a mistake as long as there is no further incident. If there is another incident only then should he be removed from 1st team training 💚💛 Celtic have to meet the valuation and there is nothing to consider until they step up 🤘

As a manager of a football club Johannes Thorup is just conducting himself in a a professional manner . He really has to say good things about players , but he knows I'm sure that you cannot have a player in your squad if they are behaving in this manner . Adam Idah should not feature even if Josh Sargent gets injured . He would just be a total disruption . Get rid of him doublely quick !

Well in that case, the deal just won’t happen. If you can’t recognise and deliver the value of an asset then you simply don’t get the asset. I can go to a Porsche dealership and tell the salesman that he has to sell me the £100,000 car for £30,000 because that is all I can afford and the car will be much more appreciated and looked after by being washed, polished, garaged and driven by me than it will sitting on the forecourt but at the end of the day he is still going to rightfully say no.

Are you even human, or are you just a robot? I get the Norwich frustration, but there are just some experiences that fundamentally change you. Adam Idah has had a life altering experience. Norwich should have understood that earlier. Sometimes, rightly or wrongly, there just is no going back. 🤷‍♂️

In fairness to Idah, the kind of language of "force a move" always makes a lot of assumptions. He's perfectly within his rights to make his preferences clear to his club and to ask for a move (albeit understanding that his coach might be annoyed). The test of his professionalism isn't in the asking, it's what he does this season if he ends up staying.

Missing a plane could be an attempt to force a leave. It could just be disorganisation by a young man who by all accounts has form for that. I was just trying not to jump to unfair opinions. Having said that, since my comment, he walked off down the tunnel after the game. That says to me that yes, he's being unprofessional. If it's true that the crowd were being unfair, he could have gone over and joined in the team clapping to try and win them back. Or released a statement

The fact Jack referred to that hat-trick against Preston all those years ago sums up the situation. He's done very little at Norwich since then, and would be better off at another club. He seemed to do well at Celtic. I'd wager that most players would regard playing for one of the biggest clubs in Scotland as a more attractive opportunity than playing for Norwich. Was Webber involved in Idah's contract?

It's just another excuse to have a go at him for the so called fans. It's no wonder he wants to move, he's loved at Celtic after turning their season round with his performances. I agree, there is no evidence to say that he’s trying to force through a move. Kenny McLean said in an official club video with Oli Skipp a few years ago about how forgetful he was. JHT has been very fair and has assured us that he will be dealt with internally and so that should be that. In my opinion this video is unwarranted and completely pointless.
