Which it turns out is a testament to just how immense Chris Cornell's talent was - Because it STILL cannot compare to the raw power and soul of Chris' version. As we Chris Cornell fans near closer to the fateful day when we lost a legend ' *the Voice* ', as he was known, this cover was bittersweet and yet beautiful. Levine and the guitarists did an excellent job here. But, no one comes close to the original...also considering Chris wrote this in a few hours for the soundtrack, not too many come close to that type of genius. Still missing you Mr. Cornell, no one sings like you anymore.

I remember hearing a story when the Singles soundtrack came out that Chris Cornell bragged to Cameron Crowe that he could write a song based on anything, and (possibly in response to a challenge?) wrote Seasons based on a song title he spotted on a prop cassette for the in-movie band Citizen Dick.

Yes! Had the soundtrack, loved the characters in the movie. That dating service video and the expression on Matt Dillon's face. The dude with the phone numbers on his watch and the Mime they pick up asking for directions, so funny! I was lucky to see Soundgarden in concert several times. Love anything Chris Cornell.

I could hear the guitar bang on to the recording, this is the best and closest version to the original. This brought great joy to me, to sit and listen and this of Chris.
