Levine considers himself guitarist first, singer second. From that perspective it isn't that suprising. And I think rightly so. He has a distinctive and unique voice, but he isn't gifted otherwise.

i saw an interview with Adam where he said he's friends with a friend of Prince's and he (friend) told Adam that when Prince saw this, Prince said, "he's learning" 😂

After hitting the,"weekend lover". His walk back to the mic,is a perfect mimic of Prince! Perfect respect. Prince was all about movement, in addition to the multitude of other TALENTS he possessed. Adam Levine is amazing.

This performance was so deep, passionate, and awe inspiring, that I couldn't contain my emotions. I was overwhelmed and had tears spilling down my face. I watched it last night and was compelled to watch it again today. When Prince performed in honor of George Harrison, I had the same reaction. Thank you for honoring Prince in a way that he deserved.
