@@wickedshadesproductions5254I got a feeling that he was born like the day before the events of the movie lol And it’s really cool how they indeed shown how he became more “adult” along the movie
For those who are complaining about Adam being too childish, let me remind you that he started also like that in comics. And just like in the movie, he realized how wrong were his ways and changed for the better.
The one where Adam literally kidnapped thors girlfriend, specifically Warlock and the Infinity Watch issue 4 Adam recounts his first years out of the Cacoon "For years I wandered the ether, Lost and living only for the moment. I soon realized I would not last long on my present course" I think the movie did its bare minimum introducing his character, but it is hard to see Disney giving him an arc wherein he grows into the Adam from the comics but making him childish for his first appearance is comic accurate.@@theheneral2318
@@theheneral2318 The original Jim Starlin Warlock run and other Starlin Warlock comics in the 70s and early 80s. The story is different, but the extreme sense of drama is spot on.
My favourite moment with him is how he screams like a maniac berserker, about to rip Gamora's head off, before it switches to "DON'T BE RASH!" Adam is such a good kid in this movie
At first I was really not feeling him as AW and thought they made a huge mistake by casting him…but now I honestly think he may be my favorite character! He has a genuinely believable childlike innocence that is perfectly balanced out by his strength and I don’t think they could have chosen anyone better for this role!
@@nadiadelphi6850 ikr i doubted the casting choice but that what made the caster great. They see past behind and knew that he was going to nail the character despite the initial impression
Lmao I love that scene with Warlock and Gamora Warlock: *screaming in rage* Gamora: "One step closer and the weird thing get's it" Warlock: "Don't be rash"
Characterised perfectly from Adam’s first appearance in the comics. Just a god-powered baby. I love seeing him learn and grow and can’t wait to see more of him
@@user78405I... WHERE DID YOU GET THIS FROM?? His fathers were scientists in the comics, he killed them since he knew he would be used for evil. The high evolutionary was only a foster father to him, but even then they were never alike, where Adam has always tried to be good.
Same. Eustace turned into a giant. It is cool to see him evolve as an actor. I do believe that is the firdt role I saw him in and then as he got older I started seeing him a lot more. He was funny in We are the Millers. Not sure what people of it but I liked it.
@SQUIDBEARSTUDIO Yeah, in comics Earth-616, not MCU-Earth-616 which is something like Earth-199999 by comics timeline numbering. The MCU human Jarvis was Howard's butler. Remember, the movies are a very different timeline to the comics.
That scream of "MOTHER!" and her realizing he isn't going to make it in time just gets me. The Sovereign is a complete a__hole, but to Adam, she's his mother and the only family he's known.
Like knowing Adam warlock from the comics, I was nervous about this change, but at the same time both Poulter and Gunn did not disappoint with the fact that we were witnessing someone who was learning Empathy in real time.
Both are basically 'children' but Vision is an AI that has an access to the entire internet and Adam/HIM is probably only taught limited things by the Sovereign. So I'd imagine it's like a naive person who knows philosophy talking to an actual primary school kid who tries really hard to even grasp an abstract concept. They'd only agree on something that is clear & common, but that's all. But since Adam lives in a civilization that is more connected to others outside his planets,he has an advantage in knowledge of the cosmos (maybe even knows about legends of deities like Oblivion,Entropy, and Death) while Vision only have limited speculations.(Idk if his Mind stone helps in anything, maybe in possibilities too?)
He's played off as a joke now but he played two crucial parts in this story. He's the reason that they need to even face off the High Evolutionary since he he nearly killed Rocket. And he saved Peter. I call that a win
i love that he is the prime example of how it would be if someone was born as an adult it’s so comedic it’s hard to hate it it’s also kind of realistic because even if physically you are born as an adult you are still mentally born as a child because neuroscience i guess i don’t know i don’t pay attention in school
I absolutely loved Will in The Revenant, he was spectacular in that movie. And even though I didn’t really think he was the right choice for AW at first, I was still pumped to see him in a Marvel movie…. But I couldn’t have been more wrong! He was the perfect choice for AW and it pretty much cemented him as a permanent top 3 pick of my all time favorite actors!
Better character arc than most characters get in their entire series.. Real people have dumb flaws, and improve slowly, but as long as they’re not literal psychopaths, probably notice their flaws pretty quickly.
I think his child-like tendencies is what makes Adam such a fun and entertainng character. Plus it doesn't hurt that I've enjoyed a good deal of Will Poulters' work
I mean he did leave his tube much earlier than he was supposed to so it makes sense he has the mindset of a child. He is a lot like Conner Kent that way.
Well they kinda got thier character spot on. Adam Warlock usually starts off like this considering he is like 9 years old in the movie and usually young in the comics. But he is really powerful but with the mind of a child. Thats why he is like a kid
I genuinely expected him to be this all powerful villain hunting the guardians turned hero, where you fear for the Guardians when he's on screen. Instead we got this and honestly, i kinda like this more.
