How to top up AdBlue - How to Top Up and Refill the Adblue on our VW T6 California Diesel.
Adblue is key to the efficient running of modern diesel engines. In this video JT shows how to top up the AdBlue tank on a VW T6 California.
Adblue needs to be topped up periodically to ensure the eifficent running of your diesle engine.

Thank you. Adblu is the same formula from brand to brand, so any sort will do. Some large fuel stations have it on pump the same as petrol and diesel. Thanks for watching! Cheers JT

I think it’s one of the things people fret about, but it’s actually quite easy to do. I’ve topped my Cali up once but it’s just gone over 10,000 miles so about ready for another refill. Liked and subscribed to your channel.

No worries Jim! The amount of adblue you’ll use does depend on the type of driving you do, but work on approx 1 litre per 1000 miles as an average, so for most people 2 top ups per year. Thanks for this video. We bought a Cali this year and hasn't topped up yet and we have driven around 7000km (4500 miles) and it says it needs 9L.

Off topic but do u know on the dash when checking service intervals is number 1 inspection and number 2 oil service? Manual says both so very confused. Hope you can help

I’m not sure if you can or not. Mine will alert me on the dash when the service is due, but I don’t recall if you can check or not if it’s is the oil Orr or inspection in the menus. They will alternate. As a precaution personally I would call the local dealer to check. Thanks for watching and getting in touch. JT

My t6 is beeping and has 1300 miles left. I have a 10l bottle but max says 2 gallon. Should I wait til it goes down more or put some in?

Hi, thanks for reaching out. Personally I would top it up. You can fill the tank, if you have any left, top up next time. The counter will reset once you have topped up. JT

What would happen if overfilled? I take it no harm?

I don’t believe it will cause any damage as the tank has a set capacity, but best check the capacity of your tank in your handbook. I have filled mine with 10 litres with no issue. Hope this helps, thanks for watching and getting in touch! Cheers JT
