So did I. I feel like posting the Michael Jackson at the theater meme and modifying it to say, "I just came here to be distracted by the comments." Lol
The water background sounds are very beneficial for cutting out distracting sounds, like others watching TV , but they also enhance the need to peepee.
Not sure if this is working for me... 5 minutes ago, I turned this on to focus on my homework. But now I found myself trimming my nails, while thinking about discrimination and philosophy. .w.
retry4581 I\'m not sure but ,if anyone else trying to find out how to clear my mind and focus try Pyzork Focus Finding Professor (do a google search ) ? Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my neighbor got excellent results with it.
TIP-dont focus on the music what so ever, if you do that u wont even notice its there and you automatically focus on what ever work you are doing... its cool and it works
Jared Flaba interesting points ,if anyone else needs to find out about how to focus try Boshapra Fast Focusing Boffin(do a google search ) ? Ive heard some amazing things about it and my friend got great results with it.
I've noticed something among my friends and family members who also have ADHD. We all have like to lisen to sounds such as fast typing on a typewrite, water dripping, and the noise a printer makes when printer. If you could put together a combination of those, that would be great!
Let's test this one, I'm always having problems with focusing on my tasks, I don't think that's ADD because I meditate without problems, it's just like, if the task is boring for me, I instantly switch to ADD mode and can't help it
A thought came to my mind today: human brain is something that evolved to better find bananas on trees, yet we try to use it for solving mysteries of the universe...like trying to mine coal with a plastic toy shovel
CzarnyMlot Wow, never thought of it that way. It seems so true, yet I think that the interest in new things is what makes us so special. Curiosity is barely found among animals.
ietsization I am glad that someone appreciates my pseudo-philosological thought ^^ and I agree that curosity is by far the most important human trait...without it we'd still be in stone age
I think it's the way most material is delivered: most textbooks could suck the life out of even the most naturally fascinating subject. Could you imagine the folks who write most college texts covering something like First Contact with another civilization without rendering this event down to its most banal and tedious. Part of the problem is that anyone with a creative spark (and I don't just restrict that to the humanities) tends to be non-linear in their thinking, experiencing sometimes baffling (to themselves) intuitive leaps. Education, as an industry, is naturally inclined to very linear thinking ("color within the lines!") . Much cheaper that way. P.S. This audio thing seems to work nicely
'BinauralBrainwave' - HQ Binaural Beats & Isochronic Tones hey ,if anyone else is searching for how to focus at work try Elumpa Instant Focus Alchemist(should be on google have a look ) ? Ive heard some super things about it and my buddy got excellent results with it.
Extremely helpful with focus and retention. Assignments that take me 4-5 hours take ~2 when I listen to this. The effect even carries on for about an hour after. I cannot thank you enough.
Wish I could watch this whole thing but I have ADD so I'll probably have to pause it every 15 minutes and walk to my kitchen looking for food and then forget why I went to the kitchen cause im thinking about my plans tomorrow then finally remember to come back to this video.
Now that i've listened to this i really know what i need to do- sleep! All those other thoughts have been keeping me going through out the day, i guess. But this helps me block those thoughts and do whats REALLY on my mind! I love this.
There's a PDF on the following link containing a peer reviewed study performed by Huang & Charyton in 2008. In it, a number of experiments were conducted on pupils (of varying ages) suffering from the disorder...brain entrainment was found to improve attentiveness, processing speed and provide freedom from distractibility. Have a read, it's very interesting, if a little dry in parts ;) transparentcorp (dotcom) forwardslash research
Although I am not diagnosted with ADD, studying about the learningdisorder makes me recognize myself very much and gives me a kind of relief. What binaural beats do (this and the other video) for me, is putting a stop to all the other thaughts and things in my head, giving me a bit space to learn and to concentrate. I've noticed that after a one hour session of the same binaurals, the thaughts come again, like it doesn't disturb my brain anymore and it got used to it, then I start with a different session and it helps again for a while. And it's also good to put a stop between the sessions, to give yourself a break. Another tip that helps me is to chew a piece of gum or hold something in my hands, makes me able to focus a bit more on my courses instead on what happens around me. Thankyou!
This is amazing. I have ADHD myself and this helped me so much to concentrate in my US History homework and it was the first time, i ever actually payed attention for an hour straight to my work without TV, music or any other distracting sound. Thank you so much for posting this, it helped me a lot. I will start listening to this more often so it can help me with my studies.
There is no such thing as ADHD, the doctor who invented it admitted on his death bed it was a scam to sell pills. Self discipline of the mind through meditation and training cannot be replicated in a pill. The pills are a social experiment, don't buy into it.
Great! I have ADD and I feel like this is helping me focus. The fact that I am writing this comment proves it. I also paired it with drum and bass, I think I still get all the benefits with an extra kick of energy.
i think adhd is a gift and a curse, for example i remember things from my early childhood, i am more alert in any environment, My brain can process info from listening even when lets say talking to a friend in class. now for the cons: curiosity leads to hours of distraction, one idea leads to the other until realization of the time lost. Add/adhd kids have a bigger imagination, and think outside of the box, its not directly associated with iq as there have been cases with people who have add/adhd with an iq below 80. It also leads to procrastination not becuase of not being motivated but its the fact that atleast i've never felt challenged so i challenge myself against time. I myself have done over 10 different iq tests each result varying: 117,156,176,133,127,138,171 and the avg from them is 145. Real Add/adhd kids don't use the excuse of adhd but attempt to find a solution e.g. meditation, excercise, this soundtrack.
It's theorized that ADHD is a trait picked up from interbreeding with Neaderthals (about 3% of European DNA is from them, less for Asians and almost none for Africans) and that it was useful in staying alert during hunting/warfare/getting certain tasks done.
Pure genius!!!lThis is activated whenever I battle in TEKKEN 7 #YOSHIMITSU..... This guy is completely unorthodox like no other character in the game he relies I'm making you come to him and you need all Focus to utilize his Arsenal of craziness!
Unfortunately this did not work for me all the way through. For a while it was helping me, and then one of the changes in sounds that it made instantly made me tired - I almost fell asleep - but then the next sound it changed to brought me back up again. This puts my brain into a rollercoaster of alertness to fatigue, up and down... Totally messes with my head.
This one works best for me. It really surprised me as I was extremely skeptical but figured it would not hurt to try. I have tried several on RU-vid and for some reason, when I take my exams, my recall is best on those items I studied while listening to this particular selection. I came across this by coincidence. Is there anything else you recommend I try. My son is adhd non attentive and I am pretty sure I am as well. Are there any studies regarding this that I can look into?
I have been using this video ever since September. Amazingly, it has played an important role in my studying. However, I agree with marcodslg, I tend to use the bathroom more often when listening to this. On the upside, using the bathroom gives me the necessary brain break I need when studying, lol. I wish it could be longer than the one hour.
this works a lot. but it gets boring after a couple of hours. I wish there were hip hop versions of these, with that smooth and jazzy boom bap sound. I would be able to study for days. but this here is perfect as well.
This was incredibly distracting to listen to for me. Maybe it's because this noise is reminding me of something but also that odd water sound in the background is very distracting.
I have listened to this probably 50-60 times by now. Thru Anatomy and Physiology Spring and summer sessions. I prefer headphones at library but if at home, i always plug computer into speakers to save my hearing
So far this is the only one that hasn't given me a headache, and in fact seemed to decrease the one I had a bit... hope I can focus now. :) I like the combo with Lindsey Stirling. I need more upbeat orchestrals in lieu of relaxing sleepy stuff... put this with that and my headache left!!!!!
I've been working on my computer and in the beginning was very focused when listening to this meditation. After about 15 minutes, started becoming drowsy, which is good since I don't take naps and only get about 5/6 hrs of sleep a night. I think I will stop and take 30 minute nap after I finish this message. I've always had Attention Deficit Disorder, but only had about half symptoms and have never been hyperactive. My mind is sometimes so sluggish I can barely whole a thought together, memory can be poor, on the other hand, sometimes my mind races along with multiple thoughts that run into each other. I discovered last year I have ADD, SCT (Slow Cognitive Tempo). I have all of the symptoms except one. I will use this meditation to put me in sleep mode and try and find a binaural brainwave to help stimulate that area that holds memory.
I listen to this all the time! I am studying a degree online and have lots of distractions around me and within my head! This just blocks out everything and helps me focus on what I am suppose to be concentrating on. Thank YOU!
Also, I hope someone can replace "liklely" with corrected spelling "likely" and replace "eachother" with "each other" in STUDY TIPS screen shot above. Typos can be distracting to some with ADHD.
Thanks, Gerardo. Noticing spelling errors can be a blessing, but it can also be a curse, especially for someone like me who is very easily distracted. An error on a billboard can cause me to forget where I'm driving. I thought it was ironic that a wonderful video that can help ADD/ADHD people to focus, also contained errors that can cause people like me to lose focus. I appreciate the organizations who do the research and produce these videos. There are so many that everyone is bound to find at least one that helps.
Hilarious humour and quirks have already been done. Well done, but I am willing to know it can be real? It works on me fantastic well. I was ADHD patient for many years. And I am used to be concerta (r) user for a long time. It never works that much effectively. Or that is gizmo just placebo effect? Frankly, I am fan of the bineural beats, and alpha beats may help concentrating me. But this is superb. What else are these excluding alpha, if it contains?
Play it through laptop speaker. it's quite works. I have aDD and studying for exam always frustrated me. I don't even finish my papers. suffering of aDD makes me unable to focus to my study, I quickly become sleepy or get distracted away. but this wave is working. at least I finish one of my papers now. thx a lot.
i am adhd, at first i thought this is total junk to listen to, like a dishwasher machine, some how it seems to work. i can read my ULTIMATE SHIT programming stuff. BORING LIKE HELL i need this. i hate college.
Some of these work better than others--- which I figure is individually variable--- but for me, this one seems quite effective. (I have ADD, predominantly inattentive type, and issues with lethargy, fatigue, and low energy level).
Thank you for these aural study/concentration aids. The rat-a-tat in V.2 reminds me of a jack-hammer, so I don't think I'll use this one, particularly since the lot outside my window at work is a construction site! I believe V.1 suits me better.
I wish all of this great information had been out there when I attended Universities.....working very hard without support is a great deal more difficult than when support us available almost at every turn...IF, IF you know where to look. What is the matter with health care, all cures do not come ONLY with chemicals alone.
For the last few weeks I tried to finish discussion section for masters and was getting nowhere. However every time I put this on I'm able to write major chunk. It works fantastic. many thanks for your help. Engaging in this work means also an acceptance and validation of my condition in being neurodiverse. I am grateful for that.
Thanks to this brainwave sound for it help me realize two things; that I got an ADD related to brain fog and finally, I found the most effective non-medicated treatment to attain a high level of attention and concentration to finish my writing task. This is an excellent pill for my ADD. God bless 😊
When to comments after hearing the chopper sounds in the beginning .... instantly bored after I saw the 1 hour time check. kk here is my comment I will find a shorter more summarized video. Thanks.
There were many times when I am wasting my time searching which concentration music works for me but when I click on this one I suddenly feel so focus! Hadn't got much sleep last night but on the first 5 seconds listening to this beat my tired sleepy feeling is gone!! so motivated now awesome stuff thank you very much!! :)
great! I seemed to focus very well with this track! About 20 mins in when the sound shifted i was distracted for just a second, but overall loved it! Thanks!
I don't like it, sounds like there are some evil sounding voices in the background that don't sound anything like the soothing sounds of water... major thumbs down!
thank u soooo sooo much. i am actually studying now and i took a break to research some tips cuz im having a hard time. i usually play techo music really low for background noise to help, but this is working very well for me. thank u so much!!!!!
shoved in some drum and bass mix along with this... i find homework so boring and frustrating that i get really really deep thoughts, hopefully this can help supress those thoughts and help me focus
