@@ВасилийАбадуров What part are you having difficulty with? (a) Making the quest (b) Creating the custom voice lines (c) Creating the lip file (d) Other.
@@ВасилийАбадуров Sorry to hear that. You can follow this guide, which I based this video on loosely. Just skip the "making and using a voice type" section and go straight to "hello hello". Do not hesitate to leave another comment if you are still stuck, and I can make another video going through it more slowly. deck16.net/post/23029593001/making-a-unique-voiced-follower-in-skyrim-part-3
So I keep trying to follow the instructions in this but once I go to preview the file when I've added the new line, CK comes up with an error that says that it can't play temp.wav. I am also unable to save it and just proceed without saving, because it says facial animations cannot access temp.wav either. Any ideas?
Could you let me know if you changed the file extension for the voice line? Was it exported as wav, mono, 16 bit? From how you describe it, it sounds like the issue is with the sound file.
@@ImADoctorNotA it was originally an mp3 file, but I changed the file extension to a wav. I didn't even think about it picking up on that, but it makes sense because of the way they're compressed. I'll try re-exporting as a wav instead of an MP3 and see if that fixes it. I appreciate the help!
how do i add custom follower dialogue to an NPC voice type that doesn't support followers, like FemaleShrill? For example Jala from Solitude. I want to say "Follow me. I need your help" to her and have her to respond with custom dialogue, like "Sure. Let's go." and join my CurrentFollowerFactions
I'm having a bit of an issue. When I hit the "record" button in order to make a temp file, nothing happens. It's not greyed out, it just doesn't do anything, even if I wait a bit. No recording box comes up or anything and there's no temp.wav file generated.
Did you move your Skyrim folder since installing CK? It may be saving it in another directory (perhaps this is in the preferences menu for CK). You may also need to restart CK (you probably don't have to reinstall it). You may also need to get the hotfix for the software produced by the community, available here: www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/71371. Let me know if this helps.
Agreed, always interesting to look back and see how my video creation has changed over time. If you have a particular question, let me know and I can try to guide you
Try this: www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/comments/ynj0jz/guide_how_to_generate_lip_files_in_sse_creation/. I believe CK is missing the file needed for lip file generation, which is available here (as listed in the reddit post): www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/40971?tab=description. Let me know if this works for you :)
@@ImADoctorNotA Thanks for this! I found this too while scouring the bowels of Reddit. It works and it doesn’t- only when the CK gods allow it. Turns out I wasn’t even doing it right for what I needed anyway. Womp womp- back to square one. This tutorial is great though- CK is just a butthead.
Sure, I could help to a limited extent. My career has picked up over the past few months, likely not changing for the few. If you have specific questions, happy to do what I can
The tutorial works like a charm but I am running into a bug, after greeting my npc, it doesnt advanced, I mean I have a custom traider with a voice and player dialog to open the inventory but when he finishes talking it never triggers the player choice box. (I am following your video for a custom mod for Fallout 4)
I'd recommend starting here, which I referred to when making this video: deck16.net/post/23029593001/making-a-unique-voiced-follower-in-skyrim-part-3. While designed for Skyrim, they roughly use the same CK. The FO4 remastered update should not be affecting what you are doing. Sadly, it has been a bit since I have used CK.
Hello! Good video, do you know how to add subtitles to a object on Skyrim? I'm trying to add subtitles to the "Portal 2" Skyrim mod but I don't know if this can be possible.
Hi Waterfalls. Unfortunately, I was never able to figure out how to do that. You can rename items that may put their adjusted name if it is an interactable item.
When I get to the stage where we hit "record" the record button is greyed out for me and I don't know why. Searching online doesn't bring up any answers
@@lesderrane1376 Sure, I mean close the subwindow, then double left click on the entry (which should re-open the subwindow). Let me know if this works for you :)
Im having trouble re-voicing an existing npc, I tried recording over their lines yet for some reason it fails to work. even though when I open up CreationKit and check it loads my lines
Sure, I would recommend checking this tutorial, it might help out: variedvoices.weebly.com/replacingadding-new-dialogue-audio-in-the-creation-kit.html. It sounds like you need to edit the lines in the scene dialogue, and perhaps need to add it there.
@@ImADoctorNotA Ok. Will this work for an NPC that already has a voice? For example Hadvar since he has a unique voice; I'm trying to make it so I can marry him, but I want to add new lines that I made with xVASynth.
@@CaptainDar Yeah! I made this video to guide others on working with already-voiced NPCs (because there was not great documentation on how to do it when I made the video). I cannot speak on making the lines with that tool, but this should show how to set up completed lines. If you have any further issues, let me know, and I can direct you to resources.

@@ImADoctorNotA I downloaded it but now I'm stuck again. When I click on properties on my CK shortcut I have no shortcut tab, I have general, web document, security, details, and previous versions. Nothing that says Target?
@@CaptainDar What are you trying to do? Tasks for this video are, fortunately, all contained within the instance of CK and should not require going beyond it (outside of getting the LIP file software).
