In today's video, I'm going to show you how to add H-Alpha exposures to your DSLR images so it's an astrophotography tutorial on creating a HaRGB composite image in 2 different ways. So in the first example, we are going to add H-alpha to the red channel and in the next, directly to the luminosity and both of those technics will make your images really pop.
This is the first video on a continuous processing series so if you got a specific thing you want me to cover in the future videos let me know and I might include it in one of the future videos.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH! Really great! I was looking for such a well explained AND short description of this procedure. I watched the video and performed the steps in parallel in Photoshop. It works! 5 stars!

Thank you for sharing. I got the opportunity to see a rocket launch in 2018. Unbelievable experience. I shared a pretty cool montage of the trip to my page.

Hey buddy! great tutorial, if i may add some advice to sav alot of time and make your life easier. You can select your layers, go image and auto align and it should perfectly align your images in the push of a button :)
@TadejSkofic
@TadejSkofic 4 года назад
To be honest I never even tried that because it usually failed in some other projects but thanks for the tip I tried it just now and it worked perfectly, hope others see your comment!

@@TadejSkofic of course dude! my pleasure. its a great video! The auto alignment works really good with deep space specificly because of the contrast between the stars and dark space makes it easy to line up. :) if you have any other questions feel free to reach out on instagram @mackmurdoc

Thanks for this video but you need to slow down a bit when you're talking about the process.

When you stack Ha images in DSS use one of the RGB images as a reference... In that way you don't have to align the image manually in PS... Or what do you think?
@TadejSkofic

I tried this but sadly it doesn't work, but you can select both layers you want to alight and go to- Edit and Auto-Align, leave everything default and just click ok, it works perfectly. @Mack Murdoc reminded me that a few days ago.

How do you adjust the white balance in PS? Great tutorial.
@TadejSkofic
@TadejSkofic 3 года назад
Hey, you can press Shift/Ctrl/A then the Raw editor will open, on the top left side select the white balance tool and click on a neutral spot in your image, just remember you can't correct the white balance on an image made with the Ha filter, in that case, you need to use only the red channel of the image.

@TadejSkofic
@TadejSkofic 2 года назад
The ctrl+ C/V is a standard copy/paste comadn so it should work, I believe there has to be a bug in your PhotoShop.

Lose the hydrogen bomb-esque unnecessary soundtrack at the beginning of the video. Very helpful video otherwise.
