If my miner is at my friend's house, but the app is on my phone will I still be able to track what is going on and earn HNT or do I have to be in the same home as my miner?
I can't wait for mine to arrive. Ordered it in early December, and the latest email says it will arrive in early May. Unbelievable delay, but I get it with the pandemic and whatnot. I'm actually trying to think of ways to get more hotspots setup in the city around me. Might just ask a few family members if I can set it up, and figure out a way to compensate them for at least the power consumption, but probably will pay them in HNT tokens. I imagine some small businesses wouldn't mind having one of these setup, and splitting the HNT tokens monthly 50/50. This way, I can find the areas that have the most hotspots for POC, and also areas with a lot of residential but also commercial areas, which should have devices that connect to this network. I'm trying to be creative because this has big potential as a source of passive income, and the token price has been going up a lot lately.
@@dannygilland2354 USDT, and then USD, of course, just like any other crypto...You just do that in Binance. I don't know if it is possible to trade HNT for other coins other than Binance. Just do some research...
Hi Jimmy, thanks for all the good content you provide. Helped so much! Quick question. I am going to place more hotspots on different locations but can I start the syncing process near the one that is already earning without messing my transmit scale then verify the location on another house? Or as soon as I sync would divide the earnings because it is temporarily on the same house? Thanks again!
So can you have multiple miners ( I plan on ordering 4 ) and place them at my buddies in the city I live. Am I able to connect them all to my same phone? Or do I need all my buddies to connect them to there own phone via bluetooth. It might be a pain if everyone has to run there own or can I run them all ? Thanks
people are already earning from 2000 to 4000 dollars a month, just by leaving the device connected to the electricity / network. Order yourself a device and get it for FREE! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_xqwBO1Wa80.html Registration - vladbig.ihub.partners
If you are interested in purchasing a Helium Hotspot or if you need to optimize your existing hotspot, I recommend you use the services offered by HntService. You can also contact us by phone. Facebook: facebook.com/hntserviceeu/ Website: hntservice.eu/
What is the best location setup for the hotspot? I'm in a two story house, so assuming upstairs by a window may work best with the standard antenna? I'm also considering if a 9db antenna run to somewhere on my roof may improve the overall coverage. Suggestions? Thanks!
Awesome video, better than the helium website! I wanted to ask if you have setup a DIY mining rig for Helium yet, they list several options on their site with somewhat good instructions ... but with the lack of availability of the out-of-the-box rigs like yours, I was wondering if you ever got something like that setup? Looks do-able, but they don't make it clear how to get it all up and running on the app/wallet.
@@kimmyy8376 yes but in the video I heard him mention that you can set one up close to another one to “witness” the other mining to validate “proof of coverage”. Did I hear that right?
I just purchased one today after hearing about it. Watched a couple of your videos and I'm definitely gonna go for it. I'm unsure of exactly how the different ways work though. Are things like challenges done manually or is it all automated? Thanks for the vid!
Hi brothers, Would you please guide us and let us know is it worthy to buy this device and also kindly tell me how much you can earn approximately. In your case how much did you earn per day with this ? Thank you and best regards,
Dear Jimmy, thanks for the information, its pretty useful. I have an important question: can you choose any of the 5 methods to earn HNT, or these ae taken ramdomly by the system? Waiting for reply. Thanks.
Jimmy, if I live out in a rural area but my Brother and a few friends live in the city. I could in theory set up a couple in the city. My question is, is there any disadvantages of that? i'd be about 45 miles away from the units. Im assuming I can monitor them still from my phone and just leave them right?
What are the cons of doing this? Risks? This seems like a no brainer thing to do. I saw about it on tiktok and blown away by the opportunity, seems too good to be true
So what if you live in a city with 0 other hotspots. Can you still make money from installing one isolated hotspot in your home, or you will have to install a few around the city for them to make money from one another???
Is the bobcat miner or nebra better I looked up hotspots in my area and some are making 9 hnt a day while others are making 3 hnt is it because of the miners? also some of them are connected to more hnts than others even though they are really close to eachother.
Do I need a computer to set a hotspot up? There is a decent network around me. I’m currently saving for a laptop though, but if I can start mining ahead of time that be cool
If i have a house in a more populated place, can I leave the hotspot there and use my app from another city? Or do you have to be on the same internet connection to access the app after installation?
Risks would be the usual suspects, stealing personal info, banking credentials, access to home cameras, and IoT devices, hacking your devices to be part of a botnet, etc etc. Just to be clear, I'm not saying this would happen I'm just wondering what protections does helium has in place to mitigate this, or is this an open free for all net??
It s been about 12hrs since i installed it but i have no witnesses. Should i do something? Or just give it time? There are a lot of miners around me and distance between is above 300m. Some half a mile some more
I live in a village that is not very populated (caa.150 people). About 3 miles away there is a town with a few thousands of people. I wonder if it is even worth setting up.
Not that I know of all the helium hotspots I've used are used on the helium app which pays you the 10th of every month not daily sadly for better or worse
Hey Jimmy, if I put one near downtown Toronto, would you be able to estimate how much it will make? I am getting into this stuff and am wondering if it will pay off and I will make good profits. The Bobcat 300 has a 16KM range so it looks like there are 200-250 hotspots around that. I think that is good right?
question my good man,...? (sorry im a newb), does it mater how high your is? like would it be better to put it on the top of a 4 storied building than it would be at ground level?
I'm looking to buy a bobcat miner , the stock 4dbi Antenna is enough to connect to other miners that are in the 2km proximity ? How can i calculate this ?
It barely uses any. Like .00001 data package. So you'll never know and it's super secure as it's decentralized and it shoots out a different frequency than wifi
Didn’t watch the video but I’m sure it was great, just came and got your discount code for 2 raks that I just bough, $40 off thank you, good sir -this should be a charity event-
Yes, it is. The problem is that those will not do the prove of location with each other, but rather with any other hotspot nearby. Here in Europe there are some owners address that have over 400 hotspots, all over the continent. All belonging to the same person I presume... explorer.helium.com/accounts/13AvzGLk4ormmqzR1UKL7tSMHv5jkEjsikwoaSkFAzhMRt7dcB5
@@TravCarroll95 thanks for your reply. I have another question. They are saying there is a activation fee. Is it correct? And how is this location change working? How do they understand that location is changed?
Eh I can see the reasoning, at the end of the day they are a business that needs to maintain a standard of quality and security for these transmissions. If anybody can build one of these and add it to the network the question arises of what they can do to manipulate the network. That’s not a good look to companies using helium. If it’s not profitable this doesn’t work, so anything to make the company more legitimate is a good move
@@Potato_Cannibal yes, I understand, but that is more problematic if you live in a rural area. Unless it is possible to see the ip, somehow...this I do not know... But what do you think can happen if someone sees that you are providing internet for things ( IoT)? They are not coming after you...
