Hello, This video assisted me in helping my 7th grader get a better understanding of adding and subtracting fractions. I was searching for at least an 20 minutes, and I finally came across your amazing demonstration. I'm now a subscriber!

Hey Tina, Your videos are by far the most easy for me to understand here on youtube because you do not let any question go unanswered. You explain everything at the time and you don't leave anything up in the air. There's no confusion; you have steps that you follow and you make it very easy for people like me to list those steps and solve the problem. Hello! Question, so when your subtracting, like my problem is 8/15 subtracting 1/2, would you still multiply even if it’s a subtracting problem?

You are a great teacher but that silly pen is too distracting

On example #2 3/8 + 7/10 the least common denominator is 40 {8 goes into 40 5 times and 10 goes into 40 4 times} so the problem 3/8 + 7/10 would actually be 15/40 + 28/40 making the answer 43/40 or 1 3/40.
