It’s because your teacher doesn’t have time to explain step by step. That’s why people get tutors! He has a lot of time so he explains better because he has more time 😁. Love ❤️ your profile pic Colleen!
This guy is a life saver, I have an awful tutor and they explain stuff really badly and my teacher kind of skims over this very quickly so this video is amazing :)
So I'm a 6th grader with 6th and 7th grade classes. Thank you so much for making this, because I forgot some of the things I did in math in 5th grade, or I didn't do the lesson because I was REALLY lazy. Anyway thank you, because I really needed it. c:
Its embarrassing for me cuz I'm in algebra 2 and I still find it difficult to add and subtract certain negative numbers sometimes (especially on no calculator tests) so thank you for this
Omg!!!! The best way to explain this. I wish I had someone explain it this way when I was in high school and college. I am trying to pass my Praxis and this is so very helpful. Thank you so much Sal 😁
Okay so, if you have a NEGATIVE times a POSITIVE it would equal a NEGATIVE, When it's a NEGATIVE times a NEGATIVE it would equal a POSITIVE (I know this is late but hope this helps)
i "learned" this in my pre algebra class, i am now in geometry 2-3 years later reviewing how to do this bec sal teaches this better then my pre algebra teacher ever did and i was always too ashamed to ask all my other math teachers how to do this oh goodness
Ya true. Our math teacher knows only for himself. He gives classwork ,homework.Too boring😑 I didnt learn anything from him.I got help from my parents and khan academy😚😚😚😚😚😚😚😚
Can the problem be 2-3 and still equal 1 without having it a negative, or is it a universal rule that the bigger goes first in subtraction? I always thought to take from the bigger number. Could you explain
This didn’t help me though. I have to know and be able to explain a problem similar to -2 - (-3) without changing the problem to -2 + 3. This “rule” doesn’t explain the “why” and that’s where I’m struggling.
I need an explanation on the 2- -3. It's not enough for me to know that the minus becomes a plus and the negative becomes a positive. I need the why explanation if anyone can link the video or explain.
