This is an EXTREMELY useful video. I was wondering what to do about splicing if I ran out of cord for my Slatt's belt. That thing is a tedious nightmare, and the last thing I want to worry about is getting near the end and running out of cord. You are definitely going to be facing some situation where you don't have access to all four ends.
I do not understand how to use this method if I run out ? Then I only have one end loose on the project part. How to do, please explain. In the video it seems as if you need to have free ends in both the cords.
Hello! Good question. If you run out of cord on multiple loose ends, you'll want to use the modified Manny method on each end to extend the cord, allowing you to finish the weave! Let us know if that helps. 🪐
Take it from me, this does not work very well with the conquistidor style projects.... I made a 4ft long rifle sling, took a solid 100ft of cord.... had to make 2 because I ran out of cord and it was about 6" too short, it'll hold, but there's just not enough unseen spots to hide it, it'll ruin the look of your whole project, and that's a very time consuming process... love the look of it,but absolutely hate making it lmao
@@Creshex8 you can but theres virtually no room to hide the seam so it sticks out like a sore thumb. I made a 3.5ft sling for my rifle from a colorshift cord in a 4 knot/stitch, beast of a project but its purrty!
I feel the same when I see people using normal lighters instead of the jet lighters. My grocery store had 2 jet lighters packaged together for only 5 bucks. They work perfectly too. Whether lighters or scissors, good equipment just seems too cheap to realistically pass up.
