Ok so that’s what’s going on right. I just thought maybe a long vacation at a buddies but its been so long it really does seem like they just bought this crazy lil compound to live together on and terrify their neighbors
2 best options here as a previous golf cart mechanic in life... yes that is just a golf cart. 1. CHECK THE WATER LEVEL in the mismatched batteries that are probably well over 5 years old 1-A. Replace ALL of the old batteries and ALL 4 gauge copper cables, you'll thank me for it OR 2. get a Large Lithium battery (RoyPow) to replace the entire lot, AND replace the cables to the controller with 0 gauge wire, it won't save you any money but it will save you a bunch of weight. like 300+lbs by replacing all of the batteries, and i guarantee it'll go up that hill MUCH faster than it does now, even loaded. you'd also need a new charger for the non-conventional batteries. which btw you can also save weight by removing that as an onboard charger and just have a charging station for it
Actually, that yellow QuiQ charger can be re-used for lithium batteries as long as the pack voltage isn't changing. They can be re-programmed for different charge curves and battery types. They're nice units; my company uses them on some of our products. Not very heavy, either.
She...was not off by a year. I don't feel like looking it up, but if my memory's right, the U.S. Army was founded in 1772, so it is a noteworthy year. Yes, we were budgeting for the military before we were even organized enough to be our own country. (I suppose this was smart because we had to use that military when telling England to sod off.)
@@Deja117 that was not a time. Some sponsors do, some don't. Always been this way. Steve Mould _very subtly_ incorporates his ads into the entire video when he's able.
Autotech here, never leave corrosion on a battery terminal/wire, if you do, the corrosion tends to spread to ruin the entire wire and battery. Depending on when you catch it, a simple acid eater solution works well. I’ve seen coke used but make sure you get all of the coke out before it turns your battery into a gummy
"Your neighbors reported hearing bangs. Is everyone okay?" "Sorry, it was just a transformer exploding." "Should we call the fire department?" "No, we did it on purpose for a RU-vid video."
I’ve been wondering where his channel has been, but then I was then I looked up him, and then I found another of him, so yay, so I finally found another one him can watch him again
those lightbars are collectors items now.. how and the heck did you manage to find a federal signal aerodynic lightbar and how much was it cause they go for like thousands refurbished. and its chp SPEC! i cant wait for you to find out just how expensive replacement parts are but for the gears i bet you could scan and 3d print new ones for alot cheaper. also the numbers on the tops of the gears are the degrees you can offset the rotators to get the aerotwinsonic with the cascade mirror option effect. the flasher module is for the front and rear endcap front and rear facing lights you'll need to made a switch box to wire everything up correctly with one switch connected to the flasher relay for those lights and another for the rotators. i think hooking the relay for the flashers is bad for the motors. code3garage has some manuals for the specific lightbar model you have im sure. the blue and yellow wires are for the front and rear flashers on the ends according to the manual for the model 24S which is a 43-9/16 inch bar also theres a belt drive between sides.. make sure thats not off the gears under there if its as old as i think it is it might have just... fallen apart cause its made of rubber
Pretty much how most of those standards go. USB is not quite as much a mess, but it's there too. The planning is so clean and well-thought-out...then the industry gets ahold of it and introduces the infinite monkey theorem.
@0:52 Correction: your Taylor Dunn done broke. And also - you really should strip back that wire to connect the lug to good copper. Otherwise it will get really hot and melt and corrode further - failing in the exact same way.
I wish so much that I could go to Open Sauce just so I could see the crazy things that are going to be there. I hope it’s fun for everyone that can go.
Most laymen don't know about brazing, but it may be good advise for keeping those wires in place. (Or just make it harder to replace when it goes to sh...)
totally allowed, but I'd just cut it back and strip another 3/4in section.. also can you not use plasma cutter data for the laser pathing, and just dial in all of the things
I dont know how this channel keeps getting more unhinged but i love the transformation from strange and dangerous invention man to mechanic but it's all borderline unusable vehicles bought off Facebook marketplace
I want to see you get a van than paint it as the same as the Mystery machine from scooby doo and go to a police station and give them dounuts and say “it’s a mystery how I got these” lol
