If anyone cares that radio is a AN/PRC-90 and was in common usage for the US Air Force up until about 5 years ago. It uses 243 and 282.8 for voice transmissions. It can be ran off of 4 CR123 batts instead of the special battery it uses.

when picking a knob you want some that come close to touching in the middle. This is so when you track the excavator you can somewhat operate the controls with one hand. It takes some learning but you end up using you palm and twisting your wrist more that grabbing them.

My prints were at 7:45, im happy they went on alright (especially the pins) but i suppose that the rubber handles i used were just too small for the hex part, which kinda stinks

It's cool you're opening those. I watched the video last week of the kid that went outside his comfort zone and used materials he doesn't work with to make those wood and leather handles. You should go give his video a watch it was REALLY good!! Earned my subscription and a thumbs up. And I'm 52 so old enough to know good work! And the kid has few followers and really should have more so glad you gave him a shout out he did great job!
well once all the 3d prints break (as a handle they will in short time) those leather handles will be what William will have to use. So kudos to him for making a good product.
hahah yes!! i loved this video so much! i have been waiting to watch this. haha i got 1 diesel out of 5. I wish i knew that the tolerances were a bit too tight on what i printed. my favorite handles are probably the leather ones.
If you want to inspect that SD card without getting pwned, you could remove the internal storage of a computer and live boot from a linux USB with no internet capabilities. It should reduce the risk of pwnage by 100%, just be sure to dispose of the SD card if it looks malicious so that you don't accidentally pwn yourself, and you'll probably want to wipe the USB afterwards as a precaution

All I can say, is that Im proud of this community for providing so many rocket handles, but I can't believe how many of the handles didn't fit, disappointed.
