Love your enthusiasm for the hobby in all your videos, ideas for the tank - your right few corydorus would be good 3/5 of them and the tank is big enough for another pair or two of apistogramas, plant wise clean up the longer stem plants at the back of the tank and get some floating plants in there to darken it up a bit, the apistos will become much more active as they feel much more secure in darker water with overhead planting. Thanks for the vids!

Every time I see someone struggling to catch a fish I get flashbacks of trying to get my cories out of my 4ft tank. Long story short, the first 5 were easy, number 6 was really hard, and the last one was a bloody nightmare. I swear once you get down to the last fish you're moving they know you're after them, like your female apistogramma showed you. Glad you got them moved though. I'm sure they'll enjoy the bigger tank and their new job. Should be a ton of fun watching them too.

Little tip for catching corys: take a plastic bottle and cut it in 2 pieces. Put them together again but take the small end in reverse. Get some food and a stone in there and the corys will go in the bottle but can't get out anymore

I highly recommend black kuhli loaches / Java loaches. They are such fun fish and always seem to be out and about in my tank

Keep an eye on the amano shrimp... I put some juvenile Apisto's into the tank with a bunch of CRS, and within a couple of days, the apisto's had cleaned them all out.

African Dwarf Frogs are super cool. I have some with endler guppies in a 20 gal tank. You should consider a few of those if you can find them.

@@aoaquatics4005 They stay underwater, they just need to be able to reach the surface for air. They are highly entertaining, goofy creatures! They will eat guppy fry to help population control. Also be aware there are other frogs called Clawed Frogs (also African I think), so just don't confuse them. Lots of info available on-line.

Nerite snail eggs was a real problem in my tank. I've since switched to pink ramshorn and my yo yo loach pair keeps the population in check. Guppies are also hard to keep in check. For the moment, I've removed and separated the females to another tank but left a few because I'm waiting for my platinum angels to grow out and begin natural predation.

Really enjoy the style of your "Ecosytem tank" I keep all community tanks 90/50/30 (Setting up a 300g) But I think I'll copy your set up with the apistos and guppies, it's a very good pairing

I love the Endlers too!!! The Tiger Endlers are by far my favorite one. Ok, how about another light at other end? Or in the middle area of this tank? Not sure what end result you want. But, it is pretty grown out like this. I like overgrown tan kin s too. I put up lots of lights but we have a small dog so dog hair inside tanks is an issue. So I must cover them all.

African Dwarf Frogs, not to be mistaken w/ larger, more aggressive African Claw Frogs......would be great addition to curb fry #'s, like any frog, will eat anything it can fit in it's mouth....but they stay small, adult fishes easily outmanuvor them.

Yeah same for me, here all the dimensions are the same, and the width is so much in comparison to the height. For example if I want 100 Liters, I gotta go to a 1metre aquarium, but I do not have space. I’d rather have a high, wide and deep tank, but those tanks aren’t here in the Netherlands :(.

Dwarf crayfish would be a unique addition to this tank instead of bottom dwellers. The dwarf Mexican crayfish is pretty peaceful, give it a search, if not for this tank maybe another

I believe nerites require brackish waters for their eggs to survive. They may become food for your fish if they discover them, otherwise clean them off with a brush if you find them unsightly.

How did this work out long term... my sparkling gouramis ate every baby guppy in the tank they were in before they got too big for them AND every pond and bladder snail as well...(the baby snails anyway) I have to keep throwing adult snails in from my quarantine tank

Handful of Loaches and a couple Corydoras would be awesome additions to this tank. Maybe even a single larger catfish instead of the corydoras? IDK just needs a few bottom dwellers. Really loving this tank so far.

MD is a cryptid, he doesn't sleep. On a different note, I think pearl gouramis would look great in that tank. Good additional predator to endlers, but I don't know if they'd get on with the cichlids.

Hi im from Suriname 🇸🇷 and you can find the endlers here in de waters of Suriname. We call them gotro fish. I don't know the translation of gotro haha in dutch it's call goot visjes. Like waters next to the streets. Bye❣

Love the video. I thought that Nerite snails required brackish water to reproduce so those snail eggs should not hatch. And some Hill stream loaches :)

I think there's only the one Nerite in there too, so they won't even be fertilized.
