Adding the SCARIEST Backrooms SUBLEVELS to my GAME...

Here’s a future update idea for a way to prevent cheaters.The "You Cheated" level in the Backrooms is a glitchy, eerie space that appears when players exploit bugs or cheats to reach unreachable areas. It's characterized by distorted textures, unsettling audio, and unpredictable anomalies. Entering this level is often disorienting and can lead to bizarre encounters with glitched entities. Additionally, the real name for this level is "You Cheated, Something Is Coming," hinting at the looming danger within. In the "You Cheated" level of the Backrooms, interacting with the arcade games not only triggers the pursuit of entities but also has another sinister effect: the longer you stay and play, the more entities are spawned into the environment. This means that using the arcade games not only attracts existing entities but also creates new ones over time, making the situation increasingly perilous as you linger in the level. This level also consist of creepy writing on the wall such as “ you shouldn’t have cheated” not only does this add to the suspenseful and eerie sense of the back rooms but objects randomly start to explode and catch fire overtime, the longer you stay more dangerous it becomes for you. Over time everything starts to become glitchy as if things are starting to overlap and bug out like a video game error. In other words, this is a great way to stop cheaters from exploding bugs and glitches in your game and in my opinion, it’s also a great way to give out a warning that no matter what you do, you will never escape the Backrooms Thank you for hearing me out. I hope you add this in a future update 😁 (sorry for the typos lol)

This is honestly the best single player and multiplayer backrooms game you’ll find on the market. Fancy puts much love and support into this game and listens to his fans. And his videos just put the cherry on top of it all

Fun fact, if there are 9 quintillion levels, and 600 million square miles in the backrooms, each level is an average of about 6 square inches

I think the thing this game needs most is non-linear progression. Honestly all the levels are usually pretty linear. It would be very nice to have more exits in levels that lead back to ones you've been too before and require items from one level in another level, requiring you find the link to the other level to be able to progress. Almost like a web of levels, Or maybe secret paths that are difficult to find which do the same.

Just a quick suggestion for the window monsters. It would be incredible if to tempt the players they would hold up an item like almond water or an energy bar or something. Especially if it was left on the windowsill and then the monster ducks behind So he’s not incredibly visible.

I love this game and it's one of my favorites, but something that in my opinion, needs to be polished, is the jumpscares. I feel like there could be more detail in how your character gets brutally murdered by a bald dog with human hair. For example: when you die to the bacteria, it only extends it's hands towards the camera, instead, the camera would move to make it seem like the bacteria grabbed you and it started killing you. Very cool game and i hope it's one of the BEST backrooms games ever made 😏

I honestly just really appreciate the fact that Fancy cares about his community and actually changes the game based on feedback, while still adding so much more content to the game continuously. Escape the backrooms is the first game in a while that actually made me have this much fun! So genuinely thank you for all of this, Fancy!

I feel even once this goes full swing, this is still the top 5/top 10 Backrooms Games of all time even if it is not to a purist's standards. I find it to be fun, liminal and honestly, horrifyingly fun! I give it even in its Early access form an 8.8/10 and I loved it, even unfinished! Kudos to you Fancy, please keep up this project but take time for yourself as well!

Dude, the soundtrack for level !-! was PHENOMENAL! It actually felt like you were in a life-or-death chase scene of some horror movie. Props to everyone who works on this game!

My friends and I just finished the newest levels today. We already played some other horror coop games, including other backrooms games, and yours is the one I enjoyed the most. Only thing we are wishing for is a possibility to respawn in some of the longer levels. Keep up the amazing work!

I feel like you're the only programmer with a somewhat proper upload schedule. Definitely better than Dani's. And I'm happy for you in that you've found a project that you love working on and don't wanna move away from it.

I have a few level ideas. Once you beat the main game, you will be able to play a smaller side game consisting of negative levels. Level -1 is an infinite hallway that has doors leading to level -2. Level -2 is a whole jumble of random sections. Look it up. Level -3 is a maze of mirrors. Level -4 is a snowy forest filled with entities. Level -5 is a long road. Level -6 is a polluted forest. Level -7 is a "house party."

My friend and I just finished the game (what you have of it so far) and we're hopping into another playthrough on hard mode. We had so much fun with this game first time around. Can't wait to see what else you add to it!!

Your game is honestly amazing, I’m so glad you stayed true to the actual backrooms, not the Kane Pixels version of the backrooms everyone thinks is canon

Some suggestions for some levels that you might want to add. You probably should focus on adding more levels focusing on the liminal part of the backrooms. No entities but the fear in your mind causes you to be careful and mindful. Just some of these types of levels sprinkled in the middle.

Do you want to add more friendly entities? I suggest you add, add the flounder from here, or not attack wanderers of the back rooms, unless provoked, by the way, can be better provoked very easily.

Got this game in a whim with a couple of friends, and I gotta say, it was a lot of fun. It’s a game that just keeps on giving. Looking forward to everything you add in the future.

Hello Fancy! Just bought the game recently and it's sooo amazing, it's a shame that I didn't knew about it existing before. My only complaint is the level 7. According to the lore, the entry room have a different gravitation from the "main hall", or in the other words, that ocean, so, when you open the door of the entry house, you just straight up fall in to the ocean from the ceiling, but the gravity in the entry house is normal when you inside it. I really-really hope that you'll see that comment and change it, also, I wish you a good luck, you're an amazing gamedev and I can't wait to see what you'll do with your game next)

The new update is amazing. The levels and puzzles were really creative. This inspired me so much that i want to create my own backrooms universe. I can't wait to see player progresion, gamemodes and other things next update

I've been following this project since the first video, and i'm honestly impressed. You've improved a lot since you started, congratulations.

That update was literally INSANE. You really did good job Fancy. Ngl your game is one of my favorites. As far as i understand, you want to make more comprehensive levels where we have a logical purpose, instead of making a lot of levels that we only spend 2 minutes and pass quickly. But please keep adding new levels when you can, we love your content. Wish you good luck man!

Fun fact: entity 29 blub cats are the safest entity’s in the backrooms. They can appear in any level. If a level is a class 4 or 5 they will travel in groups called globs anything below they will go alone they have fun by being thrown around, they don’t need to eat since they don’t have inside organs when they squeak will show you their happiness depending on how high the squeak is they also don’t like it when other dangerous entities attack a person

I have an idea! Make a random generated npc fall through the ceiling backrooms and he follows you. He gets killed after a few levels

I think you should add that when you say "Run for your life" in chat or voice, it will send you to level ! and skip some levels, but it can only be accessed in easy mode

Idea for VR if you update: When you die in the game make the camera just flip out, and make you die in real life. The ultimate challenge!

i remember fancy saying he wasnt gonna do procedural generation for the levels, but what if he made a mode where the levels will be procedurally generated and the normal mode is the ones he handmade.

I feel like the bacteria particles in the water should just be swapped with a particulate orbs as sprites, right now they are a little large and look almost like pool floties made of yellow foam

Fancy if u can make the loading between the levels a bit shorter or u can try to adding short cutscenes but if u can remove it completely so we can move from level to level freely and go back to levels the game will be perfect

Fancy you should add an experimental mode where you can enable features that may have bugs like 8 player lobbies. And maybe make it if you are using experimental mode you have to be in a private game so only your friends can join.

These new levels are seriously fantastic! Definitely the best and most fleshed out levels so far!! I love how they’re longer and the puzzles they have are really neat! 💜

If possible, can we also see some much dangerous and even the most frightening levels like the Sh4dy Gr4y series, Level -7 (Dinner Party), and Level 666 or "Hallway to Hell".

This update looks very good. You really put a lot of work into your game. I want to make a suggestion for two new levels, being level 71 and the Th3 Sh4dy Gr3y. Level 71 is an infinite basement. You can get their by level 4. If you find an exit which is super rare, you might not return, and become with the shady grey.

can you please make the saves of the game better? me and my friends have been really frustrated since we always lose at the moth level. basically once you die, its almost impossible to get the exit because theres nothing to restore your sanity in that level. and the level looks kinda undetailed so yeah pls pls pretty pls make it better :) love the game though

Remember the vr support? You should add the game to the Oculus Quest store. Not sure what you have to do to get it on there, but it’s ideal since a lot of Oculus users (like me) don’t have a high performing PC that can connect to games like this. Just a suggestion to make the game more accessible to a wider variety of users which can also make alot more players play this game.

Update 4 is cool, but there are some things that (al least in my opinion) would make game better: 1. There should be an option that lets you NOT to save progress within a level. For example, if you want (for whatever reason) rebeat level 9 from its start, you have to create new game and go through entire chain of levels from very beginning of the game. 2. Hotel Chase should contain more visitable blue corridors with supplies in them, and sanity on this level should decrease so you can't stay here forever. 3. Level 52 (School Corridors) should contain one part of non-entity school corridors (according to lore, first 30 miles of level do not contain any entities), and to get through this you would solve not hard school task like "what is sum of roots of x^2 - 4x = -3?" to get numbers of password to transit to second section, which would be current level 52, which would make level more fun and variable. In its current state, level 52 is just nerfed "Level Fun", and for me this was quite disappointing while playthrough.

You should put death animations when the monsters jumpscare you for other players to see cuz it looks like you're just sitting there and then explode

And the new levels that you recently added improved the gameplay by half, and the new mechanics made the game more diverse, I especially liked the location with the bore and the “Fun+” level. I also liked the dedicated area in the floor for moving from a safe level to a dangerous sublevel. Thank you for your work and efforts!

Hats off to you. Every update is better and better. My only recommendations would be to add some more physiological horror levels (a perfect example is the Dark Place in Alan Wake 2 with the shadows that may or may not be enemies), but you should be proud of what you made (speaking of Alan Wake 2, the fake out level 0 you pulled twice makes me think we aren't going in circles, but in a spiral deeper and deeper into the depth of the BACKROOMS)

4:37 that was brutal

i had an idea about level fun + that would make it better. so you have the party hosts, which are supposed to control the entire level. so what if instead of collecting keys to escape, you have to kill the party hosts to escape. you have 1 party host on each section of the level, and after you kill them, the door will open. i think that makes sense, since they control the whole level, and as well as controlling the partygoers, it's a lot more challenging too
