One thing you could also add to help remove motion sickness or lessen it, is add an option to use locomotion, or vignette. It helps with motion sickness and nausea. It’s used in games like rec room and Vader Immortal.

this is probably the most accurate backrooms game I've ever seen, and it seems it's going to get even better with the idea of non-linear progression and canonical entrances and exits to different levels. I hate games that do it to where it's just make it to the end of one level and now you're in a completely different level for no reason, so I'm glad to see a change of pace with this one

@@Luka37940 which is weird because the graphics aren't AAA. Blade and Sorcery can run on Quest 2, so it's possible to get his backrooms game on there. I'm trying to make my own backrooms VR game atm and i'm starting to notice some limitations. For example, if I want realistic ceiling lights that project shadows? That map can only have like 12 ceiling lights in total before quest 2 will start lagging...

VRchat has a good locomotion method for avoiding motion sickness. They have normal smooth locomotion and snap rotation, but they also have an option that is effectively a teleport for the player's camera, while the character model moves at normal speed in whatever direction is pressed. Could be worth looking into something like that.

You should add this game to the Oculus Quest store. Not sure what you have to do to get it on there, but it’s ideal since a lot of Oculus users (like me) don’t have a high performing PC that can connect to games like this. Just a suggestion to make the game more accessible to a wider variety of users. You’re doing a great job on this game, keep it up!

You know you should make the thing on level 7 bigger. Because from what I know, the explorers who saw that creature have said that it's impossibly big and even it's head seems to be a few miles in terms of size. Now I know that making it unimaginably big would probably be hard, but at least make it 30 or 40 feet in size. That would be great you know. And also please make it big enough so that it can swallow the entire boat with the player on it

@@ANormalBlockOfTNT too big if there were multiple of that size, I mean since this is kind of a slightly off canon game, I think the best case in that scenario would be having smaller ones for the swimming sections OR shaving a really big one come overhead and if you move it kills the player, but the point of the huge single monster is 1 because there’s almost nothing else there and 2 because deep sea gigantism has REALLY taken its toll on this fish. Plus there’s only supposed to be one so a larger size would make sense as opposed to this rare unseen sea monster that’s maybe the size of a black tip reef shark in an ocean potentially the size of multiple planets worth of potentially unimaginable depths

You should make the skin stealers able to steal and hold your ID if they kill you while you're holding it out, to make it more interesting and also maybe punish players that decide "Let's all hold our ID's out constantly, then we'll never have any problems".

Would be better that if a skin stealer kills a friend they will have their ID and pretend to be one of his friends and he will stay with them until 1 of the friends shows ID close to him, he will show the ID then transform into the monster

IMO Level 8 is the scariest. Imagine combining the absolute horror of the cave creatures, the cave itself with claustrophobic tight squeezes everywhere, and the liminality combined with the darkness. The stew of all my nightmares.

Can we all just appreciate that Fancy makes the BEST Backrooms Game there could ever be? Every new level feels like a "found footage" video, as it´s so so well done in every aspect. - He puts in so much work and listens to the critics while constantly updating in an enormous speed. I truly love this game so much as it´s the only thing that ever gave me more than just jumpscares. It´s honestly dreadful and nothing ever filled me with so much angst before. Fancy, when I first watched your first escape the backrooms video I was really surprised, seemed like a cool game then you added new levels, the pool rooms, giant levels so I asked myself why not try the game I bought it, completed it (until now) and I 100% recommend to play it. Actually so hyped for the new update! Levesl 7 and 8 look awesome! but i would like to say some things: - I do think recreating liminal spaces is good step for improving the game, you dont have to remove the levels or entites, just maybye add areas in the game that give you liminal vibes. -Maybye make the skin stealers crouch and have different aggro ranges (some will attack from father away, some will attack from closer) - Levels 794, 9, 10, 3999, and 188 look like they are gonna be HYPE! id also like it if you considered adding level 11. it would be so fun to explore this expansive city and stumble across creepy abandoned stores! thats all i have to say, good luck for the games development! Edit: Please add Quest 1 compatability! that would be so cool!

Got this and wow its super eerie and love the work put into it. Though it would be neat to have a non-entity version of a playthrough so we could immerse in the design of level. There are some beautiful rooms and my partner and I enjoy this aspect, but we also are terrified of the entities, so good work on that!Great work and looking forward to further updates!

These are the best, most entertaining development videos I've ever seen for any project. I hate horror, because I'm basically a wuss, but I think I just may pick your game up. It looks fantastic, easily the coolest depiction of The Backrooms that I have heard of. I have never used VR, but this implementation already looks better than what AAA studios have put out. I really hope that the system of mimics will be reworked, they will behave more naturally, bunnyhop, appearing from the corner where the comrade has just entered. The unexpected appearance behind your backs of your friends and the imitation of their movements, so that you do not have time to realize that there are only two of you, but someone is standing behind him. It's amazing but there is a problem in VR. I couldn't see my hands or my arms. And when i tried to move my arm it was way too below. So i was having a big confussion. But other than that its good.

Idea for the game: maybe add new and original levels that are real life locations that fell into the backrooms in a preexisting level. Like a real skyscraper from NYC in level 7 for example but a whole level. Like a neighborhood that looks like it fell into a level. It would add a sense of lore and wonder and make it scary for those who already know the levels from the wiki. Great video have a great weekend!

5:24 i maybe one of the people who agreed with this, backroom is supposed to be scary just because it's empty, "fear of the unknown" Is the main point, you're alone but your mind playing games with you by adding bad suggestions. I just want to say... entities is cool, it gave us more objective throughout the levels and that is to survive from their attacks, but i have suggestions for you to add "Zen mode". Might be familiar in mobile game, where you can play the game infinitely, without something to reach, and no goals to achieve. So Zen Mode in the backroom is simply a free roam mode where you can enjoy the most basic backroom experience, where no entities at all, it only you and infinite loop between level to level. Thank you if you read this, i really love your game

Something that would be cool for the exits of level 0 is if he separated the level 0 exits into 3 different exits, the vent takes you to level 0.1, The door takes you to level 0.2, and the glitch wall takes you to level 1. But hopefully he makes something like this 😁
