Adding USB3.0 Drivers to Windows 7 Pro Boot Drive

I looked for hours on how to fix this and while there were many options, this was the one that worked for me.

Commands:
dism /mount-wim /wimfile:boot.wim /index:2 /mountdir:mount
dism /image:mount /add-driver:"usb3" /recurse
dism /unmount-wim /mountdir:mount /commit
dism /Get-WimInfo /WimFile:install.wim
dism /mount-wim /wimfile:install.wim /index:3 /mountdir:mount
dism /image:mount /add-driver:"usb3" /recurse
dism /unmount-wim /mountdir:mount /commit
dism /cleanup-wim

It worked at the beginning but after doing installing windows Copying windows files Expanding windows files Installing features Installing updates Completing installation It restarts now the keyboard & mouse no longer detected. What the next solution?

It would work with Wiindows Server 2012 R2...??? because I have the same problem...

Mine doesn't continue it shows windows 10 logo and freeze but my iso is windows 7 hope this fix the problem

It's giving me an error saying im trying to mount in a directory that isnt empty when i try to do the install.wim process. do i need to clear out the mount folder when im done with the boot.wim file?

my keyboard and mouse stop working when the windows installation's language selection screen (i.e. the very first screen) appears. both their lights are still glowing (num lock for the keyboard and logo for the mouse). They work perfectly in BIOS though. I did all you suggested here hoping to fix this issue. Still no progress. HELP PLEASE!! @ AnCrypthony M

What is the use of if I have a USB 3.0install creator software so what is difference

The main difference is that software is more likely GUI making it easier for anyone. At the time of this video, I was looking for free options and came across the step by step guide and ended my search rather than continuing to look for freeware (or paid) to help make it easier.

Click on your link and scroll down to the description and find the link "Run Intel® Driver & Support Assistant (Intel® DSA) to automatically detect driver or software updates." See if that helps.

Either I am not understanding your questions, or I am understanding and you're trying to find answers for Mine OS on a Windows 7 video. The best advice I can give on Mine is join a forum and ask someone who has more knowledge on Mine than I do. Sorry.

@@stefanandrei3779 when I searched for my 3.0 drivers I based it on the MotherBoard I used that would support the drivers. So your search might look like "(MB make) (MB model) usb 3.0 driver" take out the () and also check the manufacturers website.

Yes, that was a big problem I was having, assuming you are plugging in a mouse and keyboard into a USB3 slot. This is what I figured out to make mine work.

@@justinplays5068 does your account have admin rights? a Google search of the error says "You do not have permissions to mount and modify this image. Verify that you have Read/Write permissions or mount the image using the /ReadOnly option"

@@justinplays5068 If you set your bios setting right, the potential is there. But as soon as I loaded Windows, mine gave me trouble. So I had no choice but to make the USB3 work.
