And drivers were be instaled with windows instalation automatically and work when instaled windows starts? Because i have little diffrent problem, i can start instaling and i finish all, but when windows start up it dont recognize usb in, i cant instal drivers for graphic card, wireless, ethernet

Thank you! worked great on a Dell Latitude 5580 and after trying 3 or 4 other videos on the "missing driver" issue yours was clearly the best complete video on the subject excellent job! Note for others: I used a 8GB first time since Dell Win 7 DVD's are only 5.4GB in size I figured I had enough space, it told me before I made it very far I would need another 1.5GB. After its done the 2 .wim files are HUGE! I think one was 3GB alone so prepare to have a large enough USB drive before you get started.

Loved the walk-through video ! Fingers crossed (sadly it failed to fix mouse+keyboard) ! Stuck at language/country window with no way to complete setup. NO USB3 or USB2 operation during final Win7 setup. Trying to install Win7 as dual boot with current Win10. Media Composer 7 only works with Win7, but need Win10 for security.

thanks man!! for who are getting error while selecting index 2 for boot and index 3 for install files, put them into sub folder and try to mount again. it will work. Also the driver folder location is drivers\win 7\x64

When extracting the drivers, it says OS not supported. Machine has win 8. Attempting to extract win7 Intel USB eXtensible Host Controller for USB install. Is there a special extractor I have to use to extract the files on a win 8 machine?

The WIM files in which you refer to are NOT on the windows 7 install flashdrive. I'm so tired of trying so many methods, just to find out somewhere after all of my work, that there is a crucial step that cannot be completed, no matter what. What do I do if I don't have those files????

Could do with a bit more explanation, like why you had two DISM GUI windows open - closing that 2nd one while the job was in progress was a bit of a red herring that took me a while to figure out was not part of the tutorial. But the biggest problem I have is about 12:50 - dismount does not work. Error: 0xc1420117 The directory could not be completely unmounted. This is usually due to applications that still have files opened within the mount directory. Close these files and unmount again to complete the unmount process. At this point I'm completely screwed because there is no way to close out DISM. I've tried dismounting again, with and without Commit - fails every time. From the command line DISM /Get-MountedWimInfo returns "Status: Invalid" and DISM /unmount-wim /mountdir:C:\Users\ChrisB\Desktop\DISM\Temp /discard returns the same error 0xc1420117 message as above. Rebooting the computer doesn't help either. What now? 😣

for install wim error change try changing index to 1 before mount.

Doesn't work on Intel NUC NUC6CAYH. Injected driver to both BOOT.WMI and INSTALL.WMI but no difference. I was able to find one WIN 7 image torrent where mouse and keyboard connected to USB3.0 was working during installation, but after restart and start of fresh Windows it asked for login an PC name and keyboard/mouse were not working due to USB 3.0 missing driver :( Second option is to connect USB 2 internal header to NUC motherboard, but of course Intel is using special pins for NUC with pitch distance 2,0mm instead of standard 2,54mm and that is hard to get.. goood luck..

This didn't work so I tried Gigabyte's x299 Win7 install utility (at their web page) that Intel noted they recommend; download from MSFT Win7ISO and also download Gigabyte's x299 USB utility (also does nvme) and migrate the Win7ISO with USB+NVME drivers to new ISO on USB2 stick ! Boot from stick and your IN like Flint. Message me if you get frustrated, I tried vlink and others and only the Gigabyte Intel recommended utility works ! Oh, you need valid Win7 key numbers or it create ISO on stick (nor install on PC).

i'm trying to get win 7 on one of these "modern" retarded laptops with nothing but USB ports. As soon as windows 7 installs, it no longer sees the USB port! And no internet either! So I'm trying to add both a USB driver and the driver for the modem... they easily go into the boot.wim with no problems, but the INSTALL.wim simply refuses to accept any drivers at all. It says "Error - An error occurred. ". :(

Just in case this video doesn't solve the issue, I have succeeded with this very complicated method a while ago and I wanted to share it, you should only do if you can't afford to use a ps/2 port mouse, you have no usb 2/usb 1 ports and none of the videos like this helped you solve the issue (This should be your last resort): First, format the drive or just remove all Windows-related folders that Windows comes with (I recommend not proceeding with a drive that has valuable stuff on it) You have to make a Virtual Machine using Virtual Box, but make it use the hard drive you're installing Windows on, and you will have to get Virtual Box to use the physical drive, not a virtual drive, to do this there are lots of tutorials, look up "How to use the physical hard drive in Virtual Box" (DO NOT DO THIS on a drive that has valuable information, raw disk on virtual box could corrupt your drive!) Now install Windows 7 or earlier on it like you normally would, after installing, find your motherboard manufacture's motherboard drivers on your actual machine, drop them into a folder on your Virtual Machine, preferably the Desktop for easy access. You cannot install the USB 3.0/sata/motherboard drivers with your manufacture's installation program because Virtual Box uses Virtual Box drivers and it will fail to work, so to do this you will need to use the command prompt and manually/forcefully install these drivers, look up "How to manually install a driver using pnputil" There are a lot of tutorials, but only a few variations of the command actually work for some reason, which is why I recommend researching it yourselves to avoid giving out a command that doesn't actually work. You will have to navigate and copy the path and submit a pnputil driver install command for each and every .inf file separately, I recommend only doing this for sata/usb drivers as that is all you should need for mouse and keyboard input to work. Okay, so now you have motherboard drivers for your outdated Windows, so restart your computer and in the BIOS allow your PC to boot from the drive. If everything was done correctly, Windows should boot up as if you installed it normally and you should be able to use your mouse and keyboard finally! Have fun!

Load driver Error removed but USB 3.0 driver not installed so I was unable to install other drivers using USB that was a crucial problem for everyone.......... Improve this video for above indicated problem and also add LAN Driver in concerned iso image......

This message comes because there are files missing in Windows

When you add drivers @6.22, there is an error: 0x80010105 so drivers were not added successfully but immediately after, the very next screen shows "Found 2 drivers packages(s)..." and they are successfully added. I am not sure what did you do to get them added? For me I get error, it doesn't find the driver when select x64 folder.
