Addison and Amelia Reunite - Grey's Anatomy 

“But he called me Addie.” Wow, this episode was a breath of fresh air. Everyone just felt so familiar this episode. Even the patients. OG Greys vibes. + I’ve been waiting for Amelia and Addison to hug again for ages. This was everything plus some.

That hug was definitely Caterina and Kate! The happiness you see on both their faces!

The way she looked at bailey was like she saw derek in him.

Her meeting Meredith and Derek’s kids, he would have been proud at how far everyone has come 😭

This final scene made me cry a lot more than the elevator scene. Derek would be looking over that scene knowing his favourite people were altogether, and happy. He wanted a big house full of family and here it is. ♥️

I'm just gonna say this again... For those who haven't watched Private Practice, do yourself a favor and go binge watch it. You will understand Addison and Amelia's beautiful relationship.

She should see Amelia’s son too, but this was emotional to watch cause Addison never came back to the hospital after Zola was adopted. In fact, this is the first time that she is at the hospital since it was renamed Grey-Sloan. And to think the only familiar faces are Grey, Bailey, Webber, Shepherd, Hunt, and Altman, although the last 2 don’t really know Montgomery

Just from this clip alone I loved: 1. Teddy being the “fun ambassador” was reminiscent of her s6-7 self, especially in that episode where she tried to prove that she could pitch a ball. 2. AMELIA AND ADDIE’S HUG. They radiate so much love and joy 🥺❤️ 3. How Owen finally is beginning a new storyline that isn’t caught up in his love life. It’s about time. His character is so much more than just him hopping between women, and I’m so glad that the writers are finally giving him a better story. 4. When Addie met Derek’s kids and tried to contain her tears… 🥺 I miss her character and I wish she could stay on as a series regular.

Bailey: "Were you Daddy's friend?" Addison: "I was, yes." Addison: "I'm Addison." .. "But he called me Addie." God, this episode made me tear up so much. I missed hearing the mention of Derek's name, and even though he isn't alive, he was so alive in this episode. Loved this reunion, brought me back to the old days. The good ole' days.

I am literally crying 😭😭😭 When Addison said that she was Derek's friend and he called her Addie, I lost it. 😭❤

Look at how far Addison and Meredith have come. Derek is watching from above and smiling.

The warmth on Amelia’s face when she sees how Addison just slides into her new life perfectly 🥺❤️

Seeing Amelia, Addie, and Meredith together is so heartwarming! And Addie's reaction to meeting Derek's kids, emotional! Brought tears to my eyes. Kate Walsh is gorgeous!

The only thing missing was Addison meeting Scout. Especially with the fact that Addison was with Amelia when she lost her son on Private Practice. I hope it happens next episode.

I haven’t seen private practice but Amelia and Addison’s hug really showed there relationship and the depth behind it. It was so beautiful and without knowing there whole story, I literally felt it in this hug. Just because of that I am off to watch private practice now haha

OMG this brought back memories of how close Amelia and Addison are after the stuff they went through in Private Practice. So happy they got to be reunited!

Addison is one of the best female characters ever written. So happy to have her back.

The way Addison's eyes lingered on Derek son's face..was evrythg.. u could c she's looking for Derek resemblance in him🤗

Between the long awaited hug between Amelia and Addison, and Addison meeting the kids…I was, and still am, and emotional mess. Those two interactions were perfect and the best parts of the episode.

I've been a fan of Amelia and Addison's friendship. This is what my 2021 needed.

I am a simple person. Everytime I see Caterina smile I also smile. That girl is infectious!!!! Love her to bits!

This was so emotional there is so much history between all of them sitting in one room and knowing Derek would be happy knowing they had met Addison makes it so much more sweet

This whole episode was a true gift. Just what we all needed 💙 you could definitely see Caterina and Kate out of character and being true friends . I can also say the same for Ellen and Kate.

Now we can finally say that Addison has step foot at the Grey frat house. This episode makes it the first time she went inside the house of Grey.

This scene made me cry the way addie looked at Bailey Bailey was a look a like Derek 🥺😭

The shot at 1:44 with Amelia and Addison linked arm in arm feels like a direct screen shot from Private Practice and it makes me happy they're together again like no time has passed since they last saw each other :')

Addison is technically Amelia's ex-sister-in-law, but still a sister nonetheless. That means the sister squad is Meredith, Maggie, Amelia, Addison and always Lexie :) 5 sisters

I was balling my eyes out watching this. Meredith and Addie have came so far, and i miss derek sm 😭

Grey’s needed this. I felt it lost its spark a little bit but this episode felt so heart warming and familiar. I’ve missed addie and amelia so much❤️❤️this was great

What a good actress Kate Walsh is, how she takes you from tenderness, nostalgia to tears in a second. Big Addie. Having brought her back is a great success.

I loved how Amelia just stood back and watched. I just need them to show us Addison meeting Amelia's son Scout. After the trauma they went through with her 1st pregnancy this should be a beautiful scene.

I love the subtle bit of Addison looking at Bailey and immediately getting choked up because he’s the spitting image of Derek

Kind of a random note, but Greys really knows how to pick good music to really make you feel a scene, feel the emotions. Some of my favourite songs have been found through Grey's episodes. This ending song kind of reminded me of the song that played at the end of the episode where Mer and Riggs play doctor on the plane where there was that head injury!

When Addison Looked at Bailey and Zola, I just lost it. She saw their dad, Specially in Bailey. I love how the relationship between Meredith and Addison has developed.

I love how they all know that the residents have been gossiping about them and think it's hilarious.

This episode really brought back memories!!

We want to see Addie's son, Henry, play with all the kids!

This episode was perfect , good old grey’s we love , Addie made me cry so much and laugh with her entrance . It was epic I loved it , I’m still crying from her meeting the kids .

Alright what can I say...Bravo!This is what you called 'feels like back to the old days'.Especially for the last scene,it literally gives me goosebumps and remember the OG grey's.Kate/catherine/ellen are just pure artist.Their acting skills are just phenomenal.So congrats to whoever direct this episode,you let me see the potential of bring back the old grey's in S18 after two disappointed episodes.

she is one of those characters who u hate at the eginning coz she enters the show like an antagonist creating problems in the life of the protagonist but then she wins the hearts of everyone and u can't help it but love her..and to see addie and meredith be friends is just beautiful..

There was and still is love between Addison and Derek (even though he is gone). They were just on different pages and wanted different things. They loved each other but weren't in love anymore. I'm glad that she got to have some closure in meeting Meredith and Derek's kids.
