Excellent 👍. I have 2 questions. A) Can I connect power and controller in the middle of 3meters strip? B) how much ampere power supply should I buy for 3 meters of strip which is ws2815 60led per meter?
Hello, 1. yes, you can connect the controller the power and controller in the middle, connect 2 1.5meter in parallel. 2. 3 meters need a DC12V 50W4.2A power supply, this strip 14.4watt per meter(60LEDs/m), Please do not exceed 80% of Power Supply capacity when calculating Power Supply size to use in your system. www.superlightingled.com/48w4a-dc12v-plastic-shell-enclosed-power-supply-adapter-for-led-strip-light-p-235.html www.superlightingled.com/dc12v-ws2815-upgraded-ws2812b-5m-300-leds-individually-addressable-digital-strip-lights-dual-signal-wires-waterproof-dream-color-programmable-5050-rgb-flexible-led-ribbon-light-p-2133.html www.superlightingled.com/addressable-dream-color-controller-series-c-7_51.html
1) Why do you merge the blue and green wires to Data, instead of clocking? 2) What is the purpose of clocking? 3) is it possible to wire "both" (in parallel) the music controller (Sp107E) and Wifi controller Sp108E) to use at different times ( not simultaneously of course )?
hello, 1. the green wire is DATA, the blue wire is DATA BACKUP wire, so you need to connect 2 signal wires together. 2. CLOCK wire is other addressable chips, like LPD6803, WS2801, APA102 3. yes, no problem, But before switching the controller, you need to turn off one of the controllers, otherwise a signal conflict will occur.
how to connect sp107e controller directly to ws2815 led strip? does the blue & green cable join the ws2815 led strip to the output of the d1 sp107e controller? please answer & tutorial, thank you.

SuperLightingLED i am more curious as to how many of the 200 watt drivers I am able to Run of a standard house circuit. Would I be able to run 5 200 watt power supplies on a standard house outlet
@@reofpv6665 Yes, no problem, 5 200W is 1000W, if you use US outlet, it can only need AC110V 9A, Usually the home AC cable input power is 30A (3300W)or 40A(4400W), this is low power lighting, please feel free to use

Nice video! I have a question. I just purchased SP107e with WS2013 (4m 60led). Connecting it seems pretty straight forward. The idea is to run it along one of my walls. But... I have this idea possibly to add lights behind my front speakers in the future. If I want to connect 4m, 1m, 1m led strips similar to the way you have connected them, how are the addressable light effects going to work, since the 4m strip has 240pixels and the 1m ones only 60. Is there any chance for it to work at all? The idea is to control everything with one controller. Or is it maybe better to connect them as a continuous strip 4+1+1 with long extensions, and the effects will follow first the 4m stip on the wall and then move to the strips behind the speakers.
Hi, this project more than 6,000 pixels, the SPI can only output 960 pixels, you we need 1 or 2 amplifiers, How long do you need? we also sell DC24V 6 pixels per meter led strip lights, 164ft/50m only need 300 pixels. www.superlightingled.com/newest-dc24v-164164ft-addressable-ws2811-waterproof-music-led-tape-light-kit-length-controller-optional-p-3829.html
Not led signal amplifier, by using the 8zones/channels SP608E LED controller, you can control each channel individually: www.superlightingled.com/sp608e-spi-led-music-controller-8-output-compatible-bluetooth-app-rf-remote-p-3768.html
I using 2 signal amplifiers, www.superlightingled.com/dc12v-8-channel-spi-signal-output-data-signal-amplifier-for-programmable-dream-color-6803-1903-1809-1812-2811-ic-led-light-strips-p-362.html
The Repeaters change the game. You technically could have an infinite amount of strips. But one limiting feature of the SP107E is the “actual” limit which is 150 LED’s. Only 150 can be programmed. Anymore is a mirrored version of the original 150. I learned this the hard way when I made a vu meter spectrum analyzer with 144/3m x 16 strands and framed the the ceiling/wall border of my entertainment room with the LED’s in aluminum 90 degree angled rails. I wanted the meters to extend away from the surround sound speakers as if you were being overwhelmed with sound, but the limiting 150 made me change the effect to each corner has the meters expanding out from them. Still way Cool!! Last? The SP107E VU Meter Loses its “OMG FLARE, the gotta have me one of these feel when you realize the dancing LED’s aren’t reactive to the music. It’s just chaos, so when your favorite beats have a hard breakdown in the song. Which is a total boner killer. Solution: total redemption after I added to these controllers, DIY a Bass Filter. A 6ft Aux 3.5mm cable and a few capacitors. (Needs Solder, and changing Impedance of the capacitors changes the frequencies that come through. A 50v 3.3uF and 22M is what works best for my music selection. Basically I removed the highs and Mids so these now hit only on bass frequencies. Hope you use this knowledge moving forward. Peace
Hi. I have the sp107 controller and 30 meters of 12v ws2811, I’m trying to use it as my Christmas lights on the house. What do I need to do this job? Thanks!
Understand correctly, WS2815 and WS2811 have the same protocol, so they can share an IC. WS2815 has one more signal backup line than WS2811, so BI and DI can be connected to the DAT interface of the controller. please see controller link: www.superlightingled.com/dc524v-sp107e-wireless-bluetooth-spi-music-spectrum-controller-for-addressable-ws2812b-sk6812-led-strip-lights-p-1715.html
Hello, Great video thanks for making it. I have ws2815, sp107e and power supply. Problem is the LED Chord app does not list the ws2815 led strip. How do I get it to work or are you using different app?
Yes, no problem, the power supply, amplifier, and controller can all be hidden, In order to let users see the wiring process clearly, I showed all the accessories, www.superlightingled.com/dc524v-sp107e-wireless-bluetooth-spi-music-spectrum-controller-for-addressable-ws2812b-sk6812-led-strip-lights-p-1715.html

Hi! Can someone please tell me if i can use the WiFi SP501E Controller (3pin connector) with a WS2815 DC12V LED strip (4pin connector). I have bought 15m of LED strip from aliexpress and now i really don't know if i can connect it with this wifi controlled that i have. Can someone please help me? Thank you!
I was thinking about using the ws2815 led strips for just one loop all around the room where the wall meets the ceiling and i know i need 15meters but im not sure what controllers or power supply to use can anyone help me ?
Hi. So the power supply for SP107E controller is 12V. Which means the controll signal high voltage will be 12 volts... How the heck the LED chips handle that kind of high voltage? As far as i know it is rated max 5.5 volts... Can you explane your way of wiring?
Hello, all LED strips and power supplies are DC12V, and the power supply must be 1.2 times the total power of the LED strips. The controller and amplifier need a separate input power, which supports DC12-24V, but these two only output signals. What about 5.5V you mentioned? As long as DC12V is supplied separately every 5 meters, it will not produce a voltage drop DC12V addressable led strips is better, superlightingled.com/ws2815-ic-programmable-led-strips-c-5_162.html
@@superlightingled thanks for the reply!!! The WS2815 chip's datasheet says that the data input (DI) rated to 5V signal... However if you use SP107E with a 12V power supply and the DATA output directly connected to the LED stripe Data input (and the chip still works) than there is some information I dont know or clear! In my case I use 12V DC power supply (150 watts max) feeding the stripe and feeding with a different path the SP107E.... The stripe have random leds lighting up during operation and lowering the brightness it gets worse...
@@Pistikukac Hi,ws2815 is DC12V, ws2813 is DC5V, don't worry, please select WS2815, the voltage drop is smaller than WS2813, superlightingled.com/dc12v-ws2815-upgraded-ws2812b-5m-300-leds-individually-addressable-digital-strip-lights-dual-signal-wires-waterproof-dream-color-programmable-5050-rgb-flexible-led-ribbon-light-p-2133.html
@@superlightingled Thanks for the reply agian. Checking the datasheet of the ws2815 chip (www.superlightingled.com/PDF/WS2815-12v-addressable-led-chip-specification-.pdf) you can see the VDD= 12V power supply requirement. However the Electrical characteristics suggest VDD=4.5~5.5V! for the high level input. And that is what is confusing for me because using 12 volt on the Din pin I think chip will be failing...
Hi, you can also connect all the led strip in series, or use this Art-net 32CH controller: www.superlightingled.com/dc524v-ethernetspidmx-pixel-light-controller-bc216-support-madrix-software-p-1883.html WS2815 led strips: www.superlightingled.com/ws2815-ic-programmable-led-strips-c-5_488_162.html
Nope, that's the problem for me. But this one does: www.superlightingled.com/1224vdc-led-wifi-music-spi-dream-color-addressable-controller-works-with-amazon-alexa-google-assistant-p-1194:743dd7bb04a57a40771b609fd01cb3a9.html
This controller can control the length of the strip, the LED strip itself is individually addressable type, if you want to be individually addressable, you can use our programmable controller www.superlightingled.com/dc524v-ethernetspidmx-pixel-light-controller-bc216-support-madrix-software-p-1883.html
Why do you set the settings to 50 segments and 18 led/segments? NOTE: (I know you have 24 strips being mirrored = 48) and understand 50x18=900. My question focuses on what “18 led per segment” means? (Since all 150 led’s “per segment” actually light up simultaneously).... makes me confused.
This is completely not the way to hook that up. You can't feed any X Y parameters into the device when your using signal amplifiers to divide the digital signal. The sp107 needs to see the led field as a screen with one single digital pathway from start to end. As soon as you disrupted the signal path with the amplifiers you lost the 107s ability to see the entire field of leds properly.
Yes, the amplifier can only amplify the signal, output the same signal synchronously and form multiple same dynamic effects,If you want a complete super long dynamic effect, it is recommended that you use a DC24V led strips and 2048 pixel controller
in a 27 inch monitor all that zooming and fast panning the camera is making me dizzy. And what's the point of making such a long video if you are not explaining what are you doing or describing the purpose of each piece of equipment you hooking to the lights
They only sell dozens of addressable strips and most orders go through Amazon. Our products are up to 12,000, our video channel is up to 200 videos, you can see who spend more time in the video, But which platform you want to buy is your right, we will listen to you to make the video clearer
So, why did you pay $42 per LED STRIP? You literally could buy 2000 WS2812B chips for that much, maybe $11-12 per strip if you are willing to wait for international shipping. The Sp107 is a fun, party favorish’ TOY. I use them in my vehicles and as ambient lighting throughout my home and home office. For the money you invested with the power injectors, power supplies, connectors and use of the office or church meeting Room for a single use setup, all just way too much and only run by the SP107E. Get an Arduino and amaze us with some arduino coding. Otherwise BOO!!! my 90 year old grandma could plug in some LED’s and download a app that on her iPhone. BOO, 5 minutes of my life gone.
I agree with you about the cost. But about the SP107.. what about if you make a video trying to amaze everyone with your arduino coding skills? I'll be waiting..
